Daily Art Practice – March 27th

Hello and happy Sunday! Today i am again dropping by to share my next page in my Daily Art Practice Journal, where I use the Artist Almanac 2022 pages as my starting point.

I loved the March 27th almanac page so much!! It is exactly something that totally speaks to me at the moment. I just kept adding bits and bobs to the background from my scrap-jar and ended up with this. A Tim Holtz paper doll on top and some Stabilo all black to the background plus a Klartext stamp finishes everything off.

And there is again a video up on my YouTube channel – where you can also watch all previous pages, if you want to:

Here are some detail photos of the page too:

See you next week again with more journal pages and some Dani Peuss related projects. Have a fabulous Sunday!

Daily Art Practice – March 26th

Hello and happy Wednesday! Today I am sharing another page from my Daily Art Practice Journal where the starting point is always the day´ s almanac page. Here is March 26th take:

For this one I simply fussy cut the almanac page into scallops and then added strips of Dina Wakley washi tape with the almanac page pieces overlappingly onto the journal page. Then added gesso on top here and there and finished off with Klartext stamps.

I really like how this page turned out very bold and colorful. I really didn´ t quite know what to do with the almanac page in the beginning, but when I cut it into smaller pieces, the small color portions really worked out so well with the washi tapes.

Wishing you all a nice Wednesday! See you soon with another Almanac page piece and a Dani Peuss minialbum ;-).

Take care,

Daily Art Practice – March 25th

Hello and happy Saturday! I am back with another art journal page share for my daily art practice journal with the Artist Almanac 2022.

I used Distress Oxides to create the background by wiping the inks directly into the page and then by adding the Klartext “Newspaper 2” stamp image randomly on top with Distress Oxide Walnut Stain ink tone. After that I took a bunch of older border stickers and added them onto the page.

Then I drew black hearts onto the almanac page with a sharpie and fussy cut then. After that I added a Klartext stamped sentiment on top. Here is the video step-by-step:

Hope you are having a good day! See you again soon with another daily art page share.

Take care,

Daily Art Practice – Day 82

Hello and happy Friday. Today´ s daily art practice page is done and dusted. I am still catching up and managed to do 3 pages this week so far. It´ s been a tough week, I am still quite tired after work, but I think it´ s quite normal after Covid. So I am taking things slow and not stressing about the fact if I can do a page a day.

I used leftover paper bits on the background, did doodling with a pencil, then added a layer of Faber-Castell Gelatos on top. After that I added some Stabilo All pen marks and finished off with “Emotional Notwendig”-Klartext stamp set sentiments.

Here are a few detail photos:

Hope you enjoyed today´ s take. See you again tomorrow! Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!!

Take care,

Daily Art Practice – Day 79

Hello and happy Saturday! Today I am sharing day 79 with you without further ado. You all know this by now if you have been following the daily journey :).

And for this piece I again added a paper strip into the journal to then add the full almanac page as it is. I loved it so much, I just could not cut it into parts! So I did the easy way and just added some more clouds, a strip of border paper and a stamped sentiment (by Klartext). The watercolours I had were pearlescent, so the sky is brighter, therefore the border in between.

And the Distress Oxide was used with the Newspaper 2 Klartext stamp. The birds were drawn by me and the sentiment was stamped with Die Story Klartext stamp.

Here is a quick share of the stamp I am using on my last pages. It is so cool for mixed media details in my journal.

I hope you still enjoyed today´ s share, even though very simple. But I wanted to save the piece as a highlight in the journal as it is. Just love it! Okay, see you again tomorrow with another daily piece.
