Daily Art Practice – Day 15

Hello and happy Sunday! Today I am sharing my day 15 take on my personal daily art practice challenge. I make these pages using the Artist Almanc 2022 as my inspiration.

Today´ s page is a bit rub-on crazy, but oh well. I just could not stop :). And I´ ve got some old tissue tape that I´ ve misted with Glimmer Mists in there too. And another Denglisch stamp sentiment, of course. Then some Liquitex Titanium White ink, Dina Wakley Gloss Spray and my stencils (gelli printed) and Tim´ s Distress Paints.

So all kinds of goodness and fun stuff! Today´ s sentiment translated means something like: “Keep your chin up”!

This is all for today. See you again tomorrow!!

Trifecta Cardmaking – January 2022

Hello lovelies and welcome to another Trifecta Cardmaking share with STAMPlorations products. Today I share a set of cards, done in a bit different designs, but the starting point was always the same basic technique/end product.

This is the first card I made:

and here are some detail photos:

For the second card I again used the same idea: a gelli printed paper I had created with STAMPlorations stencils on old music notes. Here is the second card:

On the first card the bold background covers the whole card base, that way the end result looks totally different. Here the overall look is more clean and simple due to the white space and only a small gelli circle as a focal point. Here are some detail photos:

And now to the 3rd card:

On this one again as my starting point I used a gelli printed and stenciled paper. This time I took a leaf stamp and stamped with it onto the paper and then fussy cut the pieces. That way I have multi-colored and multi-patterned leaves on a plain background and it is still the same basic idea. On all cards I this way again have stencils, stamps and stickers used – but in a different way on each one. The clear stickers make great sentiments for the cards. And now to the steps. This time round I recorded a step-by-step video for you to watch so you can get a better idea. Hope you like it!

I hope you enjoyed this months Trifecta cards and ideas! If you want to know how to do the stenciled papers, there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube (or check out Birgit Koopsen´ s Instagram Account – there are plenty of ideas up there!). I also made a similar technique with foam stamps and paints, but you could use stencils instead. That video is HERE. Oh, and here are some detail photos of the last card:

See you again in March with another Trifecta tutorial. STAMPlorations is taking a break in February from regular posts.

Happy crafting,

Daily Art Practice – Day 9

Hello and happy Monday! Work has begun again, so I am very excited to see how this daily art practice will work out in the long run, but I am trying my best to squeeze in a few minutes every day.

Here is day 9 with the Artist Almanac 2022:

For this page I´ ve used up all the tiny bits and pieces that were left from previous days PLUS the almanac page of day 9. Also some gelli printed paper in on this page, as well as leftover pieces of eco-dyeing-paper I did years back with Tina Walker, when she visited me :). Here is the video.

Today´ s piece is a hot mess of paper scraps and I also tried stenciling with Dimensional Pearls, but that didn´ t work out as planned :). Oh well, I still managed to struggle a page together. Here are some details:

I also continued using the Denglisch stamps here again. I think they fit these pages so well. That´ s why. This is it for today, see you again tomorrow!!

Take care, Sanna

Daily Art Practice – Day 6

Hello and happy Friday! It´ s been one week of Daily Art Practice now. Only 51 more weeks to go (oh my..!). So far I´ ve enjoyed the short daily processes alot. The more time consuming part of this is obviously preparing the post and the video. It all actually takes more time than just creating the piece. But I am trying to keep it all very simple and don´ t edit that much. That way it´ s easier to prepare. Here is day 6:

I used Dina´ s Gloss Paints on the background. I love the bright colours in combination with the almanac page´ s pink tones. I added some Nuvo Drops thru a STAMPlorations stencil in there too, then some old random rub-ons, but they fit in perfectly with the “Denglisch” sentiment, actually. Just a fun thing, not planned, and it turned out good. Now to the video:

I have already prepared a place for these 3 tags from the past days – they will be interactive on a page and behind them will be at least one more day or maybe even two. Let´ s see how my plan works out. Here are some details:

See you again tomorrow!!!

Einzelstück-Karte

Hallo ihr Lieben! Heute möchte ich Euch wieder eine Karte zeigen, die ich in Mixed Media-Stil gestaltet habe. (FOR ENGLISH JUST HIT THE GOOGLE TRANSLATE BUTTON ON THE SIDE BAR!)
