Hello lovelies and happy Thursday! I bet you are already fed up with my Christmas card posts, but I am not ready to stop sharing this years cards yet :). So hang in there! Soon, this too shall be over and you will see other things here too :). But for now, here is my card share for today:
I used older ribbons from my never-ending ribbon stash 😉 and papers by Canvas Corp. I really like how these look like! Simple but fun!
For the rest, I just simply layered the papers on top of each other and added the ribbon in between. So no difficult techniques, just simple cutting and adhering. I really like the combination of red and kraft tones together. Looks kind of vintagey and old fashioned.
What type of cards did you make this year? And what colours were your favorites? And what do you think about yellow as a Pantone color of the year? I love yellow, so it´s a good one for me, but I know that you either love or hate it. So what´s it for you?
How are your Xmas preparations getting along? We have all the cookies done. Check out the supersize Moomin Gingerbread cookies we did!!! They are 23cm´s tall! So everyone will get a personalized one as a table card for Christmas. Going to look fun on the Christmas dinner table, I think :). Christmas this year will be so different, but at least this will bring a smile on everyone´s face (I hope).
Hello lovelies and happy Wednesday! Today I´m stopping by to share another quick set of Christmas cards. For these cards I again used some older produt from my stash and added Canvas Corp papers as well as some stenciling and stamping to them.
Basically I´ve just taken a leftover stenciled piece (left card) and added it on top of the patterned paper. Before adhering it on place, I bound a ribbon around the background paper. I have so many ribbons that I really need to find a place for them! Christmas cards always look great with small ribbon elements, so there.
For the second card I just fussy cut the Canvas Corp paper, added a ribbon around it for fun detail and adhered it onto the background paper with 3D foam pads. That way it has more dimension.
So very easy cards to do. The glitter piece is done using Nuvo Glitter Paste and a STAMPlorations stencil, but it´s a leftover from a previous card already, so I just used the piece up here. Then just added the stamped holiday sentiment – this time stamped with red. I usually mainly use black, but wanted to try another color here.
And that is my Christmas card share for today. I´m really happy to be using up older product on these cards. They also work very well with new product, too. And the stash busting can continue :).
Hello and happy Monday!! Today I´m sharing another set of Christmas cards. This card set is done using Canvas Corp papers.
I love the kraft paper on the background with the Christmas sentiments on it!! And I combined a very bright green, white and red toned paper (also by Canvas Corp) with the kraft paper and they work together really well! I´ve just added a few buttons and pieces of ribbon to the cards for detail, but didn´t want to overdo them. I find the papers themselves look fabulous enough!!
One more full week and then we are almost there! How are your Christmas preparations going along? I still have so much to prepare. And it´s been a very strange year all in all, pre and during the pandemic and I´m not sad to see 2020 go, to be honest. I just hope next year will be slightly better. I´m not wishing much this year, just that the situation would get better eventually. So scared this will just go on and on..
But for today, I´m just thankful that we have been healthy so far and that I can get my mind off the awful things thru my crafting. Wishing you all a good day! Stay healthy!! xxx, Sanna
Hello and happy Wednesday! Today I´m sharing a set of birthday cards with you. There are again done using very old Basic Grey papers. I´m still stash busting, as you can see.
I´ve just pretty much layered the papers and the chipboards on top of each other and added a stamped sentiment. Stamp is by Elizabeth Craft Designs, by the way.
I still have a few pieces of this paper left, but I´ve basically busted one block of 12×12 paper so far from this collection, so I´m very proud of myself. So today, it´s basically „wordless Wednesday“ as there is not much I can say to these cards :). Hope you like them, tho :).
Happy crafting, xxx, Sanna
Supplies (with alternative papers, as the ones I used are not available anymore):
Hello and happy Tuesday! Today I´m stopping by to share a set of very clean and simple Christmas cards. I have been stash busting throughout the fall and believe me, I cannot even notice the difference in my stash yet. Thus, the mission just has to continue. Therefore, today´s share is a total stash busting project.
These are the cute snowmen cards. The elements are by Karen Marie Klip and I bought them like a million years ago. The reason I haven´t used them is simple. I loved them too much to give them away – LOL. I´m sure some of you understand this very well :).
And now, finally, I just took out my scissors and cut them apart, so there was no way of saving them anymore. I ran them thru my Xyron Sticker Maker to give them an adhesive back and then just arranged them onto a piece of old Basic Grey paper (the grey one) and adhered everything onto a white card base. The stamping is done with my older stamps which I got from Close to my Heart years and years ago. So pretty much stash busting done. Does it show in my stash? Not really, so I´ll just keep on using older product to get my stash reduced. Some day I´ll reach that goal :).
And I love how these cards look like, the snowmen are way cute! Wishing you all a lovely day. xxx, Sanna
