Joy card

Hello and happy Thursday!!! Today I´m on the mood for sharing a Christmas card with you again. This time with plenty of sparkle :). I used a STAMPlorations slimline stencil with Tonic Studios Nuvo Glitter Paste to create the background.

As a base for that I used a piece of red cardstock which creates a really nice contrast to the background with the glitter. On the sides I have sand toned velvet ribbon from my older product stash. Still going strong with stash busting here :).

To finish the card off I added some fussy cut pieces from Canvas Corp. papers I had left over from my design team gig from a few years back. The papers themselves are very modern, but still work really well with the velvet and the glitter and together, funny enough, create a really cool vintage looking card.

I´ll leave you with this card today, but be sure to come and visit my blog tomorrow, because I am part of the 6th annual STAMPlorations Giving Thanks blog hop that goes live tomorrow!! So don´t miss that one!! See you tomorrow!! Also, a friendly reminder on the ongoing Christmas special sale at STAMPlorations:

See you tomorrow! Have a great day!

Book of Quotes

Hello everyone and happy Saturday! Today I am again sharing a project with you that I created a while back, but haven´t shared properly here on my blog yet. While I am still recovering from my knee surgery at home, I am posting on more irregular basis the first days.

Today´s project was again a project for a class I held a while back in Finland. It´s a tag book designed to store favorite quotes, but you can also use it as a travel journal, a minibook or whatever you want. As I have a thing for quotes, I decided to gather some of my faves inside this minibook.

I´ve used kraft cardstock to create the covers. And all throughout the minibook there is plenty of stenciling done with my own stencil line stencils, available at STAMPLorations. I´ve used various stenciling techniques

You can check out my YouTube channel and the stencil fun playlist there to find some tutorials on some of my favorite stenciling techniques.

That´s all for today´s share. Still recovering and resting and getting better, so I won´t be hanging around here so much in the beginning. More projects coming next week, when I´ll share my March The Wild Hare Kits kit projects with you.

By the way, not all products, I´ve used on this minibook, are available, so I´ve tried to look for similar product for you for the supplies list…

Until then, stay healthy, stay safe and happy crafting!

Let´s sail away ATC set

Hello lovelies and happy Monday! School is finally over here in Austria where we live and it´s time for summer! Swimming, relaxing, BBQ, travels, ice cream – just lots of fun things in the sun. I am foremost a summer person and this season brings out the best in me. Winter, not so much. Therefore I created a sunshiny toned artist trading card set for today´s post.

Here it is:

I´ve used up all kinds of bits and bobs that were left over from previous projects. The green painted bits inside the circle, for example, are fussy cut, used baby wipes full of beautiful acrylic paint layers. I just could not put those into trash.

The piece with a circle in the middle, was a leftover piece from this art journal page from a while back. Worked out perfectly for this purpose. It´s a stenciled piece – using Tonic Studios stencil (see material list in the end).

I also fussy cut a helm from Canvas Corp Brands Ship to Shore papers and painted it purple with watercolours. Then I cut the image in half and adhered it on place. The sentiment is hand written on a piece of yellow watercoloured piece of paper and then fussy cut and attached on place.

For decoration I added some outlining with a black pen and some glass dew drops from my very old stash. That´s it for today. Wishing you a lovely start into summer vacation – enjoy it!!!

Happy crafting,
Sanna

ATC and Art Journal page in same style

Hello lovelies, I have a a fun project to share with you today;  I´ve created a matching art journal page and a set of artist trading coins. I´ve never done this before and while I was creating the art journal page, I figured I could use the same design to create artist trading coins too. And it was actually lots of fun!!

Here is what I did:
1. I applied the purple and green spray inks onto the background with a paint brush. I applied first just a very light layer of paint, then I went over some areas and applied a more saturated paint area here and there and let those areas air dry. That created the watercolor look onto the page.
2. Next I wripped some tissue paper and adhered it onto the page with Mod Podge. I then treated the tissue paper areas again with the spray ink tones to give them the same color as on the background.
3. After that I took some Architextures rub-ons and applied them onto the dry page (you need to wait until the page is totally dry to add the rub-ons!).
4. Next I took some stamps out (by Rubber Dance) and stamped random images here and there with black stamp ink.
5. After that I took the Leaves 2 stencil and some Tonic Studios Embellishment Mousse and applied the mousse thru the stencil onto the background to create some texture.
6. For finishing touches I fussy cut some Architextures rub-on packaging (they have great sentiments printed on their packaging!!) sentiments and adhered them and some glass beads with Tonic Studios Craft Glue onto the page. It is a really good quality glue as it also adhered the glass beads really well in place! For my artist trading coins I did the exact same steps, but started off with a piece of thick white cardstock which I die cut with the Tonic Studios circle dies.   I really, really like the color combination here!!! It brings up all the spring feelz :).

A personal note/update: I am sad to say that my design team & brandwagon/social media team member gig with Canvas Corp Brands ended very suddenly last week as the company was sold and the new owner has decided not to continue with the design team functions. So it´s a sudden and sad goodbye. It has been a great four (4!!!) years with Christine (previous owner) and the CCB team and I have really enjoyed my time and working with and for Canvas Corp Brands. I´ve had the possibility to grow and add to my crafty knowledge by not only being part of the design team but also working with in the brandwagon team and managing challenges, blog posts and one of their social media sites! Thank you so much for this amazing time.

I hope to have inspired you with my projects a little today!!!
Wishing you a great, crafty day!!!

Girly colored tiny mixed media canvas – Tattered Angels

Hi there everyone! Today I´m sharing a really girly colored, fun and different kind of mixed media canvas over at Canvas Crop Brands blog. Well, different to what I usually make, that is. This one is full of pink and yellow tones!!! Are you ready?

This tiny piece is full of PINK and ribbon and hearts and glitter and just everything I am usually not using :). And you know what, I loved creating it :). The butterfly metal piece in the middle was already pre-treated with Glimmer Mists, when I started with this canvas. That again is one of those pieces I used for filming the Tattared Angels Glimmer Mist video series last year. See those videos here.

I´ve again recorded a process video on how I did the canvas, so hop over to my YouTube channel to see it (go here!). Also if you are interesting on seeing more photos and reading more details, hop over to the Canvas Corp Brands blog (here) to take a look! Hope you like it!

Happy crafting,
