Full Deck Challenge 26/2025 – wrap

This is my take on the ShanoukiArt Full Deck Challenge 2025, number 26: wrap. I again used collage papers on the background, gifted to me by Yuna.

The yellow paper is my carry over item from the previous deck card. My constant is a date stamp and as decor I´ve used a gelli printed and stamped Rubber Dance stencil image. On top of it, a Tim Holtz paper doll and as my wrapping, some twine. The sentiment stamp is again by Rubber Dance.

And here is the video:

Slimline cards with Weed Love stamp set and Distress Inks – Rubber Dance

Hello, it´s my turn for a Rubber Dance project share again. I created a set of clean and simple styled cards using the Organic 2 stencil, Distress Oxide Inks and the new Weed Love stamp set.

These are the steps to the finished cards:

I started by placing the stencil onto a white slimline card base. I always use washi tape or painters tape to attach the stencil and to keep it from moving while inking. On this card I used “saltwater taffy” and “kitsch flamingo” and blended them together with a blending brush. On the grey toned card I used “iced spruce ” and “speckled egg” tones.

After that I added Weed Love stamp images using black stamp ink onto the card base.

Then I added some glitter glue onto the stamped “weeds” for texture and detail. I used Nuvo “Sherbert Shimmer” for the pink card and Stickles “Star Dust” for the grey toned card.

For stamping the sentence I used the Mixed Sentiments 1 stamp set and stamped a word a line in a vertical manner. On the photo you can see how I covered the rest of the sentiment with washi tape to get a clean stamping result of the single word each time.

For a more “artsy” finish, I added some Gloss Spray splatters in a matching tone to the rest of the card (Blushing and Aloe). If you prefer a cleaner look, you can leave this step out.

I really like how the Organic 2 stencil creates such an elegant backdrop for the Weed Love images. I hope I could inspire you with this card idea. Have fun stenciling!

Full Deck Challenge 25/2025 – 2 favourite colours

Hello! Here is my take on the Full Deck Challenge number 25/2025: two favourite colours. I used yellows and greens which happen to be my fave colours.

I used patterned papers on the background (from my older stash). Then added some washi tapes in the same colours on top. I also sneaked in a tiny blue paper stripe (a carry over item from my last deck card).

After that I added some Rubber Dance stamp images with black ink and my constant, a date stamp. I chose a green butterfly as a focal point (also Rubber Dance stamps) and finished everything with yellow and green Gloss Spray droplets and a stamped sentiment.

Bold card backgrounds with Distress Inks and Rubber Dance stamps

Hello, it´s my time to share a project over at Rubber Dance blog again. This time with a photo step-by-step card tutorial. For this one I used the brand new Carved Collection 6 stamp set with Distress Inks and black stamp ink.

And here is how I created the colorful background:

My starting point was a piece of white cardstock, the Carved Collection 6 stamp set and pink, yellow and orange toned Distress Inks. You also need an acrylic block and a water spray bottle.

I took all 4 triangle stamp images from the set and chose a color for each (mustard seed, picked raspberry, spiced marmalade and kitsch flamingo). I inked the image with the chosen stamp ink and lightly sprayed the surface with water mist (for a watercolor type of style). I repeated this step throughout the whole paper, changing color and image in a repetitive way, until the paper was full.

This is what the finished first layer looked like. I left some white space between the images, so each image would stand out better.

Then I took a black stamp ink and a leaf branch from the same set and repeatedly stamped with it on top of the first layer. I then fussy cut the image into two same sized pieces, drew along the edges with a black marker and adhered the background to a white card base. Next I added a Tim Holtz chipboard sentiment and some silver rhinestones onto the cards and they were done.

It is so much fun to create DIY card background “papers” with a stamp set like this! I hope you give it a try!

Full Deck Challenge 24/2025 – thread

Hello! This is my take on the 24th Full Deck Challenge 2025: thread. I again used collage papers gifted to me by Yuna on the background.

On top of those I added my constant – a date stamp. After that I added three different tones of thread in a cluster and a Rubber Dance stamps mushroom on top.

I used my stapler as a carry over item from the last deck card and added a sentiment. It took me ages to find the right one, so bear with me on that during the video..

80th birthday card

Hello! Today I am sharing a custom card I was asked to create for a special 80th birthday. The person happens to love yellow, thus the color choice. And as I am a big fan of yellow too, this was a fun one to make.

I used a polka dotted paper on the background. Adhered to a light yellow cardstock (size A5). On top of that paper I added a die cut border (Tonic Studios die) and on top of that another die cut paper (again Tonic Studios dies) with some daffodils on it.

Then a cluster of yellow toned paper flowers and some rhinestone bits here and there (all from my older stash). Some Pink Paislee Artisan Elements peeking thru under the focal piece. And in the middle, a golden alpha “80” plus a Create A Smile stamp sentiment in German.

I loved creating this card and digging older product together from my stash. And it all worked out together so well!

Full Deck Challenge 23/2025 – repeat

Hello and happy Thursday! Here is my take for the ShanoukiArt 2025 “Full Deck Challenge” number 23: repeat. I used yellow washi tapes in repeated order on the background. I repeated the color as well as the order the washi was added.

My constant is the date stamp and my carry over item from last time is the attacher. I´ve added turquoise Gloss Spray and stamped words and a flower (stamps used are by Rubber Dance).

Vintage ticket card with collage background – Rubber Dance

Hello everyone, it´s my turn to share a project over at Rubber Dance blog today. I am up with a vintage styled collage background card. For this card I´ve used the “DIY vintage tickets” I recently created, as my focal point. The stamps used on this project are: Mix It Up 7, Mix It Up 6 and Mix It Up 5. On the background I´ve used various gelli printed and stenciled collage papers using different stencils, like: Marks 2, Marks 3 and Xmas Trees 1.

For this card I first gathered gelli printed and stenciled collage paper bits together and wripped and adhered random bits onto a piece of cardstock. Next I applied some white heavy body paint with my fingers onto the surface to tie the different papers together.

After that I grabbed some dark brown Distress Oxide ink and stamped a script image with Mix It Up 5 stamp set randomly onto the surface. Using the same stamp set I swapped for black stamp ink and another stamp and continued adding images. Finally using a dark blue Distress Oxide ink and one more stamp image from the set I finished the background.

Next I created a cluster with my “DIY vintage tickets” on to the card (see the video here). I adhered one of the tickets with 3D foam to create more depth. I also stamped some additional details to the tickets with Mix It Up 7 stamp set and a turquoise Distress Oxide Ink tone.

Then I added a Tim Holtz paper doll to go with the tickets, added some Mixed Sentiments 1 words to create a sentiment to the card and finished the card by stamping the word “journey” with black ink onto the background (Mix It Up 6).

To give you a better idea of the steps, here is the process video of the card:

I hope you get inspired to try some of these ideas out. Have fun!

Full Deck Challenge 22/2025 – cut up

Hello everyone! This is my take on the ShanoukiArt Full Deck Challenge number 22: “cut up”. That meaning cutting up the actual deck card some way.

I started by adding collage papers (by Yuna) to the background, then incorporating some carry over items (puzzle pieces) from my last deck card. After that I used my constant; a date stamp. I also added a label sticker to the background.

Next I wripped the card in two and adhered and stampled the pieces onto a residue paint paper. For decoration/finishing touches I added white and purple Gloss Sprays, some of my “DIY vintage tickets” and a stamped sentiment. Here is the process video:

I hope you enjoyed this one – see you next week with FCD take number 23. Happy crafting,
