Hello and happy Thursday! Today´ s share is a mixed media piece, created using various leftover pieces from my “junk bag”. I was thinking I could frame this piece and give it away as a present to someone :).
On the background I have a gelli printed tissue piece, then some stenciling with Nuvo Crackle Mousse thru a STAMPlorations stencil. After that I´ ve got some Distress Paint and some Nuvo Shimmer Powder added to the background. The circles are from a leftover Glossy Spray sprayed piece. I just fussy cut them and added some outlining with a Posca pen. For finishing touches I added a stamped sentiment (using Klartext stamps) and a vintage figure that I also fussy cut out of a poster.
Here you can see some of the shimmer powder on the left bottom corner, by the way. I will add this piece to my “ugly art” mixed media piece collection. I really enjoy doing these artworks, because it allows me to just play and add stuff without giving it too much thought.
Wishing you a great Thursday evening – it´ s almost Friday, lovelies! xxx, Sanna
Hello and happy mid week! I hope your week is going along fine? I have another clean and simple card share for today. I´ve again used some of the Klartext stamps (by Dani Peuss) on this card.
This time I combined the stamps with Nuvo Shimmer Powders and white embossing powder to create the centerpiece for my card. On the background I´ve got some lovely P13 papers and a tiny hedgehog from my older stash, combined with yet another heat embossed, stamped sentiment from another Klartext stamp set (see supply list for details).
I really like how the shimmer powder background makes the sentiment piece pop! And it makes for a perfect thank you-card for a dear friend too. You might be wondering, why I jump from totally crazy, mixed media frenzy to cards and projects like these? Well, it is just what I am. For different areas of crafting I just seem to prefer different types of styles. Sometimes it´s more clean and simple (but I still manage to add some mixed media here and there) and sometimes it´s just crazy colours, junk and media. That is just what I am and what I like.
I hope this card inspires you to play with your stamp sets and create a card or two! Have a wonderful, creative weekend! xxx, Sanna
Hello and happy Friday!! Yay!! Weekend!! It´s the last one before school starts here in Austria this year. So let´s make the best out of it ;-). I am sharing another birthday card, this time in clean and simple style with you today.
For this card I´ve again added stenciling on a blue cardstock with my Dream Flower stencil and Distress Oxides. I´ve also stamped some flowers with the Spring Fling stamp set on a Shimmer Powder treated watercolor paper and fussy cut those by hand.
After doing the above I just arranged the flowers and leaves, added a stamped sentiment and adhered all on place. Easy peasy!!
What are you going to do this weekend? Maybe some crafting?? Wish you a good weekend,
Hello everyone and happy Saturday! Today I´d like to share a Shimmer Powder background card (incl. a video) with you. This is a very colorful and bright card, so very different to the last one I posted :).
I´ve used three tones of Tonic Shimmer Powder on the background with some white embossed leaf patterns and also added a pink delicate German Tonic Sentiment to the card. For decoration, I could not resist to add some Nuvo Drops onto the flower centers. For a change, I´ve crated a video for you to watch, featuring all the steps. I hope you like it!!
Wishing you all a great weekend & happy crafting,
Hi there, I´m quickly stopping by today to share a fun and easy to make Easter decor with you that you can easily create with your kids. First off is a birdie, attached to a barbeque bamboo stick:
These are so easy to make. Just draw a birdie onto a patterned paper with a pencil, then fussy cut it and adhere to a bamboo barbeque stick. Take the Flower Power stamps by Elizabeth Craft Designs and stamp some smaller flowers with a waterproof black ink onto white cardstock. Then take the Nuvo Brilliantly Vibrant watercolour pencils and a waterbrush pen and color the stamped images with the pencils. Now fussy cut and adhere to the birdie. Add a sequin as an eye and decorate the flowers with Nuvo Glitter and Crystal drops. Here is a close-up. These a fun to make with kids and keep them busy, while they are waiting for the Easter bunny to arrive :).
Second option is a bunny, attached to a bamboo stick. The steps are the same as with the birdie. After finishing, stick them as decoration to flower pots in the house.
That´s it from me for today. Happy crafting,
