Hello and happy Monday lovelies!!! Long time no see here on my blog… I´ve been busy drawing faces on my Instagram account lately, so I have been therefore neglecting my blog abit. But there is a card share for today on the programm 🙂 ..
This card I done using a Gelli Arts gel plate with red acrylic paint. It resulted in a flower image in red and white. I then just simply inked the white areas with pink Distress Ink to change the colour. For the flowers I used the residue strips of the same paper and stamped and fussy cut the flowers and leaves.
For the sentiment I simply used a Clear Sticker by STAMPlorations. And for finishing touches I am working on reducing my button stash abit, so a button in the middle of the flower it was!
And the card is still very flat, so it´s perfect for mailing too. I hope you have a lovely week! Happy crafting, xxx, Sanna
And here is my art project for this months reveal:
I again created an art journal page for my Ranger Art Journal – this time featuring colours I hardly ever use in my journal. Brown with mint green and pink. Well, pink you can find, but in this combo not so often!
There is some crazy layering going on on this page. I´ve done the tag with a Gelli Arts gel plate using acrylic paints, DIY foam stamps and then finishing the tag off with Dina Wakley Gloss Spray and my Art Flowers 1 stencil. On the background I´ve got a layer of gesso, then a layer of mint green spray ink, then a tissue piece I´ve stenciled the Art Flowers 1 pattern in ombré style. Then some very well hidden asemic writing. On top of that some strips of washi, designed by my lovely friend, Tina Walker! Then some bits and bobs from my other lovely crafty friend Lizzy that came in a happy mail awhile ago. Also featuring one of her was seals she sent me. Then some black ink splatters (still love adding them!). And some die cut leaves, covered with washi from Elizabeth Craft Designs. And for finishing touches the words that Lizzy also gave me.
As you can see, I was not exaggerating about the layers! I think this is one of the layer-richest pages in this journal so far. And still, it does not look too crowded. Still some white space here and there!!
Now it´s again your turn! Play along (and remember to play by the rules if you want to be in for the prizes!!!) and do some fab artworks with stencils! It can be anything from a wall art piece to textile work to aprons to ATC´s to cards or something else. Just AS LONG AS you used A STENCIL!! Hop over to the STAMP blog and get inspired by the DT girls creations and then have some stencil fun yourself! Can´t wait to see what you make!
Thus, I´ll keep today´s post short and wish you all a lovely week! It should get really nice temperatures here this week – so much looking for sunshine and flowers. At least something nice to look forward to!!!
Hello and happy Sunday! I´d love to share a fun card idea with you that will always result in unique backgrounds that will never ever be the same!
Just grab a pile of stencils and your gel plate and create backgrounds with them! Take pastel colours for a softer look or go crazy with colour, like I did here! A red and yellow acrylic paint combination is a bold one :).
And then after finishing a few backgrounds, just grab some stamps and clear stickers (or rub-ons) and finish off your card. For this one I used my Peacock Feathers stencil with the Bloom Doodles stamp set and Hey Sunshine! clear stickers.
And while you grab your gel plate (mine is by Gelli Arts, by the way), make sure you make several prints at one sitting. That way you will have a bigger pile of prints ready and waiting for you, when you need a quick and fun card or when card-creating inspiration hits you.
By picking more toned down colours the overall look of the card totally changes. So just go with the colours you (or the card recipient) like :).
Hello and happy Monday! Have you played along with the STAMPlorations March stencil challenge yet? No? No worries, there is still enought time to do so! Today´s reminder post is your inspiration boos for joining in ;-).
This is my project for the reminder post:
For this page I used the Tree 1 stencil´s negative image as my starting point on the background. I had plenty of Dina Wakley Gloss Spray on the stencil, so I just simply pressed the wet stencil onto the page and voilá! The lovely pattern was there. I really like the negative stencil image so much. On top of that I added some Art Flowers 2 stencil flowers with pink Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and the did some asemic writing onto the background.
For decor I added some Elizabeth Craft Designs artsy washi tape (cut into circles) and a hand drawn face of a lady. I originally did a full face, but then later cut it into halves to create a more abstract look. The „earring“ is by the way, also Elizabeth Craft Designs washi tape, fussy cut into an earring form. The lady is created using Posca pens and Dina´s Gloss sprays for coloring. I finished the page off with a hand drawn and fussy cut word „harmony“.
Creating this page was so much fun! I hope I could inspire you to play along with the STAMPlorations stencil challenge!! Do hop over to their blog for more inspiration by my design team colleagues! And remember, only by playing by the rules you are eligible for the prizes ;-). And now, HAVE SOME STENCIL FUN 🙂 !!!
