Sanna Lippert Designs stencil reveal seak- STAMPlorations

Hi there everyone!!! Today is a very exciting day – it´s time to share a peek on my new stencil designs with you guys!!!! It has been so hard keeping this to myself for so long and today is the day. So let´s start sharing some images! But first, a video:

So it´s a total of fourteen (14!!!) stencils this time. A selection of more regular patterns and some additions to the plant and flower section. You can find all my stencils, the previous and the new ones at the STAMPlorations store (HERE).

Here are some projects, created with the new stencils – there will be more coming up very soon with a fun blog hop!!! So be sure to keep an eye on the STAMPlorations blog  and my blog :).

For the above card I used the „Clustered Hearts“ stencil with white texture paste on a pink misted paper background, accompanied with the STAMPlorations stamp sentiment. The centerpiece is created using various stickers, flowers from my older stash and also some Nuvo Drops.

For this tag I used the „Barley“ stencil and a STAMPlorations stamp sentiment with yellow and green Glimmer Mist background and a green inked stencil pattern.

For this card I used the „Molecules“ stencil with white texture paste on the purple misted background paper. I added a fun Santa and sentiment sticker to go with the background. First Xmas card officially done and dusted :).

Also, I´ll list all stencils here on my blog, adding the direct links to the STAMPlorations store – so you can always find them in this section at my blog – will be adding the new ones there after the blog hop :).

Very soon, there will be a team blog hop coming up, featuring  projects, created by the STAMPlorations design team girls and myself. I do hope you will be joining that blog hop which will be going live in two parts. There are great prizes to be won and lots of inspiration coming you way. Hope to see you guys there!!!

That´s all for today, see you very soon again! For more information, go the the STAMPlorations blog (HERE).

Stamping thru stencils – STAMPlorations

Hello everyone, it´s again my turn to share another Mixed Media tutorial with you over at STAMPlorations blog. For today´s post I wanted to share another favorite stenciling technique with you – stamping thru stencils!!! It is so much fun – I really hope you give it a try!!

But first let me show you one card, created using this technique:

And here are the steps for this technique:

First take a few Distress Oxide inks (or spray inks/Distress Inks, paints etc.) and color a background piece. I used Distress Oxides, because I like to play with them very much at the moment. So I applied the inks first onto a non-sticky working surface very randomly.

Next I sprayed some water mist onto the surface. See the nice bubbles on the working surface? That is what you want to create.

Then I placed a white cardstock piece onto the wet surface and pressed here and there onto the paper with my hands. That way the wet ink spreads a little bit on the paper and creates these lovely patterns. After drying the first layer with a heat tool, there were still some ink droplets left on the working surface, so I pressed the paper into them again and again until I had every drop of color picked up from the surface. This is the end result.

After that I took the Senecio 1 stencil and attached it onto the inked paper with washi tape strips to keep it from moving around. Then I took the same brown Distress Oxide tone I had used to create the background and with a alphabet patterned stamp, started stamping thru the stencil onto the paper. The smaller the stamp image is (alphas, numbers and graphic patterns work well here), the better the results are. I continued to stamp until all the stencil areas were done.

Then I just outlined the stencil pattern around the edges with a thin black pen. After that I removed the stencil and this lovely stamped and stenciled pattern emerged. This is now good for using on any type of project and the stencil is very easy to clean, since I used a water soluble ink.

Now all I needed to do, was to create fussy cut banners for the sentiments. I stamped of white paper leftover pieces with a black waterproof ink.

Then I fussy cut the banners and inked them with the same ink colors I had used on the background previously.

Finally I decorated the cards with some black ink droplets and some faux stitching around the edges.

The results are really interesting and this type of patterns so much fun to create!!!

I also did a second background, this time using the grey stamp ink instead of the brown one.

Other than that I kept the design totally similar to my first card.

I hope you enjoyed this little stencil idea and give it a try yourself!!! See you next month with another mixed media tutorial!!

Happy stenciling,

STAMPlorations 4th Birthday blog hop

Hello lovelies, it´s party time!!! STAMPlorations is turning 4 in June and it´s time to celebrate this milestone with a new product!! There is a five day long (June 26-30) blog hop with the theme „Celebrate!“ prepared for you.

„ATTENTION – VERY LONG POST COMING UP :-)“….

I have prepared two different sets following the „Celebrate“ theme for your for this hop:

SET ONE:
For the first set I used the Congrats word stamp and die cut die. I love this die so much, the fond is fabulous  and it has the perfect size for various projects. Even fits on a tag and  an ATC. Love it! Here are the cards I created with this die and stamp combo:

and this is how I created these cards:

I first stamped with VersaMark embossing ink and heat embossed the sentiments with silver embossing powder.

Next I added a layer of Tattered Angels Tutti Frutti spray ink on top. Since the ink does not stick to the embossed areas (they resist the ink), I could easily wipe away the residue with a piece of cloth. Underneath is the finished background piece.

I wanted to decorate at least one card with these DIY stenciled, punched, layered flowers (see the how-to here). I love how they look so I made a few more – going to save them for other projects to come. I then adhered the background to a card base, added faux stitching, some ribbon, wood veneer, hand drawn leaves and a Tim Holtz stickers sentiment for decoration. This is how the first card look like:

The next three cards follow the same principle, the parts are just added in different order. I first die cut the Congrats word from a piece of white cardstock. I left the word itself white and misted the residue piece pink with the same Glimmer Mist tone as previously.

Then I cut a few more words the same way, this time leaving the background white and misting the sentiment instead. Then I just layered all pieces in various order on top of each other, added stickers sentiments (Tim Holtz) and some ink splatters (Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze) and wood veneer or rhinestones for decoration. So by varying which part got misted, the result always looks a little bit different. Still all cards are very quick and easy to create.

(On this white card the sentiment is misted)

(On this card I added only partial misting to the background by spraying onto my kraft sheet and pressing the cardstock onto the ink. Creates a different look the on the fully misted card background on the last card. Second card has a white Congrats sentiment on it)

(this card has a fully misted background and the congrats sentiment has in splatters on it as well as a layer of Stickles for additional sparckle)

SET TWO:

For my second set I used the Shaker Balloons #2 die cut die set and Fearless 3×5 stamp set as well as the matching die cut die. This is how my tag and card look like:

And here is how I did them:

I first die cut some Shaker Balloons from white cardstock. I then adhered them on top of each other to form a frame for the beads. Next I die cut the word fearless and the Shaker Balloon from my card background paper. I used washi tape to keep the dies from moving. Works really good that way. After removing the die cut pieces I adhered the paper onto my card base. Then I placed the previously created „shaker frame“ inside the die cut area and adhered it onto the card base. Next I die cut a piece of plastic to create a window on top of the frame. I filled the frame with small beads, adhered the plastic piece on top and added another frame on top. Then I die cut another sentiment with white cardstock and adhered it onto the background. I used partial stamping technique to add the sentiment on top of the die cut word and finally adhered the twine to the balloon. Some faux stitching for decoration and some ink splatters for additional interest. That´s it. Also very easy to do. And by layering the die cut stars on top of each other, you will get a foolproof frame for the shaker pieces and don´t need to add foam tape to create dimension. I find this way easier than cutting foam tape into right size.. This is the finished card:

And then to the tag. I used the leftover brown „fearless“ die cut word (leftovers from the card above) as a starting point. I added a piece of leftover background paper (also from the card above) next to the word. Before adhering them onto my tag, I spray inked the tag in matching color (Tattered Angels Simply Sheer Soft Peach). I also added a layer of iridescent modeling paste (Imagine Crafts) thru the Doily Squares stencil onto the background paper piece for additional detail. Then I just added a stamped sentiment from the Fearless stamp set and some ink splatters, wood veneer and twine for decoration. So that was very easy too and I used up all leftover pieces too!
The tag also has a wooden button from my stash on it and I added some dimention to the die cut word with a layer of Glossy Accents. I really like how this tag turned out.

Embossed Christmas cards – Canvas Corp

Hello lovelies!!! A countdown to Christmas has started over at the Canvas Corp Brands blog and there is lots and lots of inspiration for everyone to see! So I highly recommend, you keep an eye on the blog and what is going on over there. The projects are for sure going to get you into CREATIVE Christmas spirit :)!!

I joined the fun with a set of 12 Christmas cards. Yes, TWELVE!!! I am coming closer to my goal of getting all the handmade Xmas cards done (and mailed) in time this year…

Here is what I did:
Embossed, stamped Xmas cards - Sanna Lippert And I only needed two sheets of 12×12 paper for these cards!!! One plain kraft cardstock and one Snowflakes on Kraft Reverse. Both from the Canvas Corp store. A little paper goes a long way, as you can see.

I´ve used 4 different embossing powders (see the video in the end for more details!) on my cards – a plain black and white one, seafoam white and a glitter black. Those colors worked so well with the kraft cardstock and in combination with the black patterened paper.

The only thing I needed to add was some fussy cut fabric pieces from the Jolly Christmas Fabric Panel. I colored the fabric with markers and decorated them with some glitter glue.

A little bit of canvas fringe for additional decoration and stamped, fussy cut sentiments by Elizabeth Craft Designs to personalize the cards and then you only need to adhere everytthing on their places. Fun, fast and easy!  And I love the look of black and kraft and fabric/canvas together. A little bit retro, a little playful and not too bulky so they will fit into an envelope well too.

I love this snowman :)!!! Such a cute fabric sheet with all the picture on it. And now to the video:

That´s it for today! Hope to see you come by soon, I´ve got more projects to share soon!

I am also submitting these cards to the ANYTHING GOES challenge over at the Simon Says Challenge Blog 🙂 !!!

Zum Erntedankfest – Mixed Media Card Challenge November reveal

Hello lovelies! Time for the Mixed Media Card Challenge blog´s November challenge!!! This month is all about Thanksgiving. So you need to create your CARD around that theme. And as an optional element you should use: TABLE.

november2016challenge

Here is what I created for the reveal:

Sanna Lippert - thanksgiving die cut die card

I used lots of Elizabeth Craft Designs dies for this card.

Sanna Lippert - thanksgiving die cut die card Sanna Lippert - thanksgiving die cut die card

I first took a piece of white cardstock and cut it into a size of approximately 14×10 cm. Then I placed it into an embossing folder and ran it thru my die cutting machine. Next I applied some orange and lighter green Distress Ink tones onto the background. After that I took a piece of eco dyed fabric, adhered that onto the background and added a piece of twine around it. Then I die cutted some mushrooms (by Joset Designs) and inked them with Distress Ink. After adhering those on their places, I added a stamped sentiment (Stampin´ Up!) and inked and outlined the banner before adhering the sentiment onto the card. Finally I added some grey and black ink splatters and a puffy sticker.

This is my take on the Thanksgiving theme. I hope you find the time to join in with us this month!!! Hop over to the MMCC blog to see what everyone else created!!

Happy crafting,
Sanna
