Daily Art Practice – April 27th

Hello and happy Thursday! Today I am again stopping by to share another Daily Art Journal Practice page with you. This is again done using the Artistic Almanac as the starting point.

For this page I used only Neocolor II crayons and a pencil as well as a Stabilo all black pen. I tried to create a similar look to my side of the page again.

For additional detail I again used Klartext stamps on top of everything.

I hope you week is getting along nicely! See you again tomorrow, but this time, with a layout share again :).

Daily Art Practice – April 26th

Hello and happy Wednesday! Today I am sharing another Daily Art Practice page from my journal. This one, again, is done using the Artistic Almanac 2022 as a starting point.

For this page I used a picture from a magazine and added the almanac page´ s flowers as a flower bouguet to it. Additionally I also used a Klartext stamp to add the moon cycle image and then that again inspired me to write down the words: “Many moons ago!!”. On the background I used Distress Crayons this time.

I found that very suitable for this image. I had a good time making this one!
See you again with more journal shares tomorrow.

Daily Art Practice – April 25th

Hello and happy Tuesday! Today I am sharing another Daily Art Practice page from my journal. This one, again, is done using the Artistic Almanac 2022 as a starting point.

For this page I simply used pearlescent watercolours on a partly gessoed page and then added marks with a white Signo uni-ball pen on top after the watercolour had dried.

I find the artistic almanac very inspiring, because thru every single page one is challenged to try out something one has possibly not tried to do before. Now, some may say I am just copying the particular day´ s page and not doing anything unique with it. TRUE also, BUT I am also testing out ideas and techniques other creatives have to see how if feels like and maybe thru this process will learn something new and also might develop my own personal way of creating. This is why I enjoy this almanac so much. It´ s about the personal creative developent and challenge for me.

Have a great week, lovelies!

Daily Art Practice – April 22nd

Hello and happy Saturday! Today I am sharing yet another page from my Daily Art Practice Journal 2022 which I create using the Artistic Almanac 2022 as my starting point.

For this page I used pearlescent watercolours to paint the tree and the background pattern and then added some pencils marks here and there as well as a fussy cut sentiment from a leftover project piece.

I hope you are still enjoying these pieces I share.. I promise there will be also other project shares up very soon and not only these :). Some of you have been asking, by the way, if there will be an Artistic Almanac 2023: there will be one! So if you are looking for one, try following one of the artists contributing (for example: Tina Walker and Birgit Koopsen).

See you soon,

Daily Art Practice – April 19th

Hello and happy Monday! Today I am sharing another Daily Art Practice journal page with you. This is how April 19 turned out:

I again used the Artistic Almanac 2022 as my starting point and really fell in love with this almanac page because of the colours! So I continued the color theme on the rest of the page too.

I basically have leftover paper bits and an old japanese postcard piece glued down to the page. To that I applied some white gesso and then added some Tina Walker washi tape on top. What you cannot see on this page, is the stamped sentiment, due to myself taking bad photos ;-). BUT, on the bottom (you can hardly see the beginning of it here..) there is a sentiment saying in German something like this: “and the world wonders”. That stamp sentimetn is by Klartext, of course.

I hope you enjoyed today´ s share, even though the photo is not complete.
See you soon again with more shares!
