You are appreciated tag – STAMPlorations

Hello lovelies and Happy Thursday! Today I´m again sharing another tag project with you. I love the combination of orange and pink on a craft project! While I was creating for the TAGplorations May challenge, I might have created a few more, than only one tag 🙂 …

For this one I used a premade white tag as my starting point. Next I stamped the sentiment „For everything you are appreciated“ several times onto the left side of the tag with embossing ink. Then I poured white embossing powder over the area and heat set it with a heat tool. After that I inked the left side with pink Distress Ink and the right side of the tag with orange Distress Ink.

I then took the Heartfelt Hibiscus clear stamp and sprayed it with a water mist bottle ever so lightly. Then I pressed the wet stamp onto the orange inked area and lifted it off. This resulted the „ghost“ stamp image on the orange ink. For finishing touches I added an embossed sentiment onto a purple piece of cardstock and matted that with a piece of vellum. As a focal point there is a big layered paper flower and also a matching purple ribbon to finish the tag off.

I hope you have joined the TAGplorations challenge – if not HERE is you chance!!!

You are appreciated tag – TAGplorations May challenge reveal

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday! Today it´s again time to share this months TAGplorations challenge with you. This monts theme is: All About Mom and as an additional element you are asked to use Vellum.

This is my take for the reveal:

I took a piece of vellum and stamped the Heartfelt Hibiscus stamp image onto it, then poured white embossing powder over the stamped image and heat set the powder. Next I flipped the image around and colored it from the reverse side with alcohol markers and then adhered the fussy cut image onto the tag base with clear double sided adhesive tape.

For decoration I added some faux stitching around the edges with a white Signo Uni-ball pen and stamped sentiments from „For The Birds“ stamp set onto dark purple cardstock. Those again got heat embossed with white embossing powder. For finishing touches I added Nuvo Crystal Glaze onto the smaller flowers and silver Nuvo sequins to additional sparcle here and there.

The ribbon has exactly the same color as the purple carstock and the pink patterned paper is from my older stash (still destashing here by using it all up) and got die cut with the Nesting Manila Tag die set´s biggest sized tag die. I think the sentiment fits this months theme really well as we should appreciate what our mom´s do for us!

Now is your turn to play and join our challenge!!! Hop over to the STAMPlorations blog HERE to see what the design team girls created for your inspiration and then submit your own work following the rules (see the STAMP blog for all details!!). Things with wings 2 – TAGplorations

Hello there, today it´s time to share yet another TAGplorations challenge project for the May challenge, THINGS WITH WINGS! So without further ado, here is my second take for this month:

For this tag I used the same stitched tag nesting die like on my first project, this time however, I chose to use another stamp and took the Bloomtangled ATC #1 stamp and created the focal point with that. I again did some heat embossing with white embossing ink, only this time I colored the image from the backside with acrylic markers only. That created a much stronger color to the image than the stamp inks did on my first tag.

I really like both images alot, depending on if you want to create a softer or a stronger image, you can vary between both media.

Other than the stamp, everything else I´ve used on this tag, is pretty much the same to the first one. Except the birdie is looking into another direction and the feathers on top are smaller this time.

Can you see I really enjoyed creating these vellum pieces for the tags? 🙂  So now is your turn to celebrate Spring and create a wings themed project for this challenge!!! See you at STAMPlorations blog, lovelies!

Things with wings – TAGplorations

Hello there, everyone and welcome to the TAGplorations May challenge! Throughout the month of May there will be various challenges on the STAMPloration blog and they will all have one thing in common – the challenges will all run under the theme: THINGS WITH WINGS!

We start with the TAGplorations challenge and here is my take for the reveal:

I used one of the new stitched nesting tag dies this time and made a happy, colorful tag in a spring theme/mood.

I first die cut the stitched, nesting tag die from white cardstock and then stamped the blossom image with embossing ink onto a piece of vellum paper. I heat embossed the image with white embossing powder and when that was done, flipped the image around and used stamp inks to add color to the image. I did this very randomly to create a soft look. Then I turned the paper around to take a look and it was partly too soft for my taste, so I added some acrylic pen details here and there and then was really happy with the result.

Since this months challenge is about wings, I used a little wood veneer birdy to decorate the big tag and also added two vellum feathers (done in the same manner) on top of the tag. Then all I needed to do was to add a stamped sentiment and some ribbon and a few liquid pearls dots and the tag was done.

So now is your turn, join the month long fun over at the STAMPlorations blog (remember to check back for even more challenges during the month and comment for your chance to win prizes). All details on how to play along can be found here – enjoy and happy crafting!

Tonic Craft Kit 06 – project 01

Hello there, everybody and welcome to the first project share, created with the Tonic Craft Kit 06. Without further ado, I´m going to share the finished set of 3 cards with you:

I´ve created the cards using mainly the kit contents, except for the stencil, embossing powders and the word sentiments – they are from my previous stash. I´ve incorporated products from my stash to go with the kit, as I am assuming that would be something we all do when we buy a kit.

For these cards I´ve used heat embossing, stamping and stenciling as techniques.

I immediately wanted to try out the glitter with transparent texture paste to see how it works with stencils. And it does! Besides, I like the idea of mixing the glitter with a paste – that way my surroundings stay much cleaner than if I´d be using loose glitter. I really like these little butterflie dies and the matching stamps that come in the kit.  There are just so many possibilities to use them. For now I´ll leave you with the start-to-finish video and will be back with more projects very soon:

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will come back soon to see what else I did with this kit. Also, keep an eye on the Tonic Studios website and Facebook page for sneaks and inspiration – there is just so much going on there on very regular basis!!!

Happy crafting,
