Sanna´s CCB Christmas craft kit – project No. 2

Hello there! Remember the Christmas craft kit I picked from the Canvas Corp Brands online store? Well, it is time to start sharing some Christmas projects, created with that kit. Here is the second one – a set of cards and a start-to-finish video to go with them:

For this set of cards I ´ve used practically something for every item in the kit (except for the canvas flower and the canvas bag – used in the previous project). I´ve also created a DIY background paper to go with the patterned papers from the kit. See the video for full details and the how-to.

The basic design on these cards is pretty much the same on every card, I´ve just changed the order of the papers abit. This way you can easily create a bigger set of cards, using the same basic design idea, but adding little variations. That way there will not be a second card that looks exactly the same.

For a full start-to-finish tutorial, see the following video. I hope you get inspired by this kit and the cards!!!

For further information about the kit, go to my YouTube channel and watch all kit related videos here. There is also a more detailed post up over at the Canvas Corp Brands blog – so hop over there to leave some love. They love reading your comments too!!!

Happy crafting,

Butterfly wishes – Pipilonias kreative Welt

Hello there, lovelies! What do you do with all those paper scraps and leftover paper pieces? I have quite a big pile of self made background paper pieces in my stash. Most of the time these pieces are so big that I have no heart to just toss them. Therefore the paper leftover box is slowly but surely filling itself up..

Therefore I wanted to „tackle“ this pile of paper. I went thru the pile and found a lovely yellowish toned piece of DIY paper. I wanted to use it for cardmaking, but it just didn´t feel right to create simple cardbackgrounds from it. That is why I chose to stamp some butterflies with my lovely CraftEmotions butterfly stamps onto the paper first.

Next I just fussy cut them.

After that I folded some card bases from a vanilla toned cardstock and used a few old book pages as background paper. I cut them into right size to go with the card bases and then just glued them down.

Next I glued the butterflies on their places and outlined the bookpaper pieces with a black pen.

After that I stamped a few sentiments to go with the butterflies, so I used a leftover piece of cardstock for that purpose and stamped along using the Tim Holtz „Hashtags“ stamp set.

Now all I needed to do was to cut the sentiments into a right size and glue them on their places. And for finishing touches I also added some glitter glue onto the butterflies and let it dry. That makes them (and the cards) look more festive :).

This is a fast and easy way to get rid of those leftover paper pieces.

Above are some detail photos of the finished cards. I hope you like the idea and get inspired to use those leftover papers soon :).  Have fun!
