Leaf and tree collage fodder cards with Brusho´s – Rubber Dance

Hello, today I am sharing a video and a set of cards. For these cards I´ve used the Xmas Trees 2, Sketchy Leaves 7 and Sketchy Leaves 5 stencils as well as Kartengrüße and Mix A Sentiment 2023 stamp sets.

I started with a watercolor paper and places the stencil onto it. Next I misted the leaf and tree areas of the stencils with a water spray bottle. After that I removed the stencils from the paper and dabbed some Brusho powders onto the wet areas. The color particles immediately start to spread on the wet areas and create interesting looking leaf patterns.

I let the water dry on it´s own and after all the areas were completely dry, I dabbed any residue powder off the paper and fussy cut the leaves. I mixed various colors together to create interesting looking images.

After finishing the Brusho collage fodder, I used the Mix A Sentiment 2023 stamp set to stamp a background pattern to white card bases. I used grey, brown and blue ink tones for stamping. Then I added some golden pigment droplets here and there and added the fodder leaf as a focal point. I finished the cards with a stamped sentiment in the same color like the text on the background.

Here is a video of the steps for you to watch:

I have been wanting to try this technique out fo a while and I must say,
it´s a lot of fun to watch the powders create depth and lightness to the leaves on their own. Not a single leaf turns out the same.

Happy crafting,

Clean and simple collage paper Christmas cards – Rubber Dance

Hello, I am up over at the Rubber Dance blog again today with another clean and simple card Christmas card share. For these cards I used some gelli printed collage papers, the Xmas Trees 2 stencil and the Kartengrüße stamp set. For the collage paper I had used the Textured Xmas Trees 2 and the Mix It Up 4 stamp set.

I basically combined the ideas from my previously shared Christmas cards here. I die cut the collage paper with the Textured Xmas Trees 2 pattern on it with circle die cut dies. And the Mix It Up 4 set circle stamp patterned paper is traced thru the Xmas Trees 2 stencil and then fussy cut. I then adhered both pieces to a white card base, added a sentiment stamp with the Kartengrüße stamp set and some golden pigment droplets here and there.

For the second card I basically did the same, except the stamped sentiment is on the card base, not on the collage paper. Also the golden pigment droplets are on the collage paper and the stamped stars are colored with the same golden color. For stamping those I used the Textured Xmas Trees 2 stamp set.

Here is one more bonus card, for which I just added some stenciling with the Ornament 1 stencil as a background and arranged some collage paper trees on top. I had some left over and didn´t want them to go to waste.

Have fun creating some of your own!!

Quick stenciled Xmas card idea – Rubber Dance

Hello, it´s my turn to share a Rubber Dance project again. I am sharing a set of Christmas cards this time. I used the Xmas Trees 2 and the Stars 1 stencil for these cards. The idea is very simple, you just need some gelli printed collage papers as a starting point.

I have quite a pile of collage papers that I´ve created with Rubber Dance stamps and stencils during the past year. This pile is a great starting point to any kind of project, basically. Here I´ve used gelli printed images that I created using the Textured Xmas Trees 2 stamp set. Next I took a glitter paste and applied it thru the Stars 1 stencil onto the paper.

After cutting the paper into size, I wripped the bottom part of the paper. The “unclean” line add more interest to the card.

After that I took another collage paper (created with Marks 2 and Marks 3 stencils and bold colors) and placed the Xmas Trees 2 stencil on top. I then traced the tree patterns with a black pen onto the paper and fussy cut the trees.

I then took a piece of white paper and stamped Christmas wishes with black ink and Kartengrüße stamp set. Cut into size and adhered to the card and the card set was done in no time.
Here is step-by-step video, too:

Have fun creating with collage papers and adding details with stencils!
