Tonic Craft Kit 06 – project 01

Hello there, everybody and welcome to the first project share, created with the Tonic Craft Kit 06. Without further ado, I´m going to share the finished set of 3 cards with you:

I´ve created the cards using mainly the kit contents, except for the stencil, embossing powders and the word sentiments – they are from my previous stash. I´ve incorporated products from my stash to go with the kit, as I am assuming that would be something we all do when we buy a kit.

For these cards I´ve used heat embossing, stamping and stenciling as techniques.

I immediately wanted to try out the glitter with transparent texture paste to see how it works with stencils. And it does! Besides, I like the idea of mixing the glitter with a paste – that way my surroundings stay much cleaner than if I´d be using loose glitter. I really like these little butterflie dies and the matching stamps that come in the kit.  There are just so many possibilities to use them. For now I´ll leave you with the start-to-finish video and will be back with more projects very soon:

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will come back soon to see what else I did with this kit. Also, keep an eye on the Tonic Studios website and Facebook page for sneaks and inspiration – there is just so much going on there on very regular basis!!!

Happy crafting,
xxx, Sanna

Coffee themed ATC set – Coffee lovers blog hop

Hello there, everyone and welcome to the Spring Coffee Lovers blog hop. This hop is a sponsored by STAMPlorations (among many other amazing super sponsors).

There are some really great coffee themed products available at the STAMPloratios store and as an coffee addict, I could not pass this hop. Here is my project and a few details on how I created it:

This is a set of 3 Artist Trading Cards and I´ve used the „Bloomin´ Spring Coffee Basket“ clear stamp set on this set of ATCs. My first stemp was to cut vanilla toned cardstock into ATC size (….) and add some patterned papers onto the background. I used 7gypsies Ordre Du Jour papers as I found they would match the blog hop theme very well. And they remind me of old cáfe wallpaper decor somehow :). After cutting the papers into righ size I took a piece of vellum and black waterproof ink and stamped the Coffee Basket onto the vellum. Once dry, the ink does not smear.

Next I fussy cut the stamped baskets and flipped them upside down and started coloring from the backside (just to make sure my alcohol markers would not smear the stamped image – this way nothing can happen!). I used browns, pink, blue and yellow Copic marker tones. After coloring the images I only had to adhere them onto their places with clear double sided adhesive and  add stamped, fussy cut sentiments on top. The words are from the same set. I just used them partially.

For decoration I added some sewing yarn and a button on each ATC. Also there is some glitter glue here and there for additional shine. Finally I wiped some black ink around the ATC edges. These are the finished ATCs and here is a close-up of one of them:

And now hop over to the STAMPlorations blog to find out more about this hop (there are also prizes to be won, so make sure you join in the fun!!!). Have fun!!!

Let´s stay creative,

Celebrate – Mixed Media Card Challenge, December reveal

Hello there, it is time to share the last Mixed Media Card Challenge for this year. This months challenge is all about CELEBRATION. As an optional element you should use VELLUM.

This is how my take looks like:

Sanna LippertI first took a piece of light blue vellum, stamped with a Hero Arts Snowflake stamp and VersaMark ink on it. Then embossed the image with white embossing powder. Next I took a leftover chipboard piece, inked it with VersaMark and applied several layers of pearl white embossing powder on it. While the powder was still hot, I stamp kissed it with the same Hero Arst Snowflake stamp. I layered both pieces onto a piece of glitter paper (love the shine!!!). Then I added a twine bow on top. For additional decoration I just added some white texture spray droplets and blue rhinestones.

Now it is your turn – hop over to the MMCC blog to take a look at the cards my team colleagues created!!! Hoping you will all still find some time to join in on this months challenge!!

Happy December, everyone!!

Happy everything – more Mixed Media Card Challenge inspiration

Hi there! I´m up with another Mixed Media April Card Challenge inspiration card today. This one is again totally different to the previous one. That being bold in orange and red, this one is totally sweet and light in color. Oh, the theme this month is flowers and baskets, by the way.

and this is the card I was talking about:

I´ve used a light yellow vellum piece on the background and heat embossed flowers onto it with white, light blue and light pink embossing powders. After that I just wrapped some twine around the vellum and adhered that piece to the card base. Next I´ve stamped a sentiment and created banners out of the words. In the middle there is a huge Prima flower as a decorational element. That´s it! Oh, not quite! I almost forgot that I also added some shabby white embossing enamel (Fran-táge) here and there on the background too. But that´s all :).

I´m hoping you will find some time to play along with us this month – it´s flowers, so why not make a lovely Mother´s day card for example? :). Hope to see you at MMCC!!!
