Flower cards

Hi there everyone, me again sharing yet another set of cards, again created while playing/practicing with the Misti stamp tool. There are layered flower stamps from Stampin´ Up! that I´ve used to create these clean & simple styled cards.

If you look closely, you can see that the positioning is not perfect, but I didn´t want to waste these images, so I created two quick cards with them.

The paper in the background is from Canvas Corp. They have a great selection of timeless papers that work for pretty much any theme.

Happy scrapping,

Some kind of wonderful

Getting together with crafty friends around the globe would be impossible without social media and things like Skype! Me and some of my lovely crafty friends again got together to chat a little and to challenge each other. This time I was not the one setting the rules and to my agony, we had to do totally without mixed media *add a sad face*

Well, I managed, even though my fingers were itching for some paste and ink splatters. So here, a clean & simple card was the end result:

Sanna Lippert - clean and simple die cut cardI used patterned papers from Basic Grey (fresh cut) & Dear Lizzy (documentary). Good to get some paper stash used! The only admission they gave me was to stamp the sentiment. At least some ink in there, eh? *giggles*
Sanna Lippert - clean and simple die cut cardHere is a close-up. I then sent this card to one of my scrappy friends and will get one in return. That will be a total surprise, since we didn´t show each other the cards we were making! These sessions are always great fun. I feel very lucky to have such talented, funny, creative friends around the globe!!! If you´d like to make a similar card, the supplies are listed at the end of this post..

I am joining with STAMPlorations anything CAS goes card challenge with my card:

cas-009-septemberpink2016I managed to add touches of pink into the card (enamel dots & the die cut flowers), so I think I am good to go with this card for this challenge.

Happy crafting,

Celebrate – Mixed Media Card Challenge, December reveal

Hello there, it is time to share the last Mixed Media Card Challenge for this year. This months challenge is all about CELEBRATION. As an optional element you should use VELLUM.

This is how my take looks like:

Sanna LippertI first took a piece of light blue vellum, stamped with a Hero Arts Snowflake stamp and VersaMark ink on it. Then embossed the image with white embossing powder. Next I took a leftover chipboard piece, inked it with VersaMark and applied several layers of pearl white embossing powder on it. While the powder was still hot, I stamp kissed it with the same Hero Arst Snowflake stamp. I layered both pieces onto a piece of glitter paper (love the shine!!!). Then I added a twine bow on top. For additional decoration I just added some white texture spray droplets and blue rhinestones.

Now it is your turn – hop over to the MMCC blog to take a look at the cards my team colleagues created!!! Hoping you will all still find some time to join in on this months challenge!!

Happy December, everyone!!

Hints of Spring, Vol. 3 – Mixed Media Card Challenge

Hi there, today I´m sharing yet another card I created for this months Mixed Media Card Challenge.

I am totally in love with the „Save the Date“ collection by Teresa Collins and even though this paper is not quite shouting spring, I just had to use it :). I love the b&w stripes!! To add a little spring feeling, I´ve used bright and happy colours to go with the b&w background. Here are some detail photos of how I made the card:

I took several Distress Stains colours and wiped them onto a piece of white cardstock and let the layer dry properly.

Next I stamped a birdie (Stamp by Hero Arts) with a black dye ink (also by Hero Arts) over the coloured area. While I was at it, I made two – never know when you will need a second birdie for something :). After that I fussy cut them.

I then glued the birdie on it´s place and added some wood veneer arrows to go with it. Also a green rhinestone as an eye :). I then covered the arrows with glitter glue and then cut a little strip of coloured paper and hand wrote the sentiment on it. That´s it!

Oh, and of course I had to add some colour splatters here and there, you know me ;-). This time with pink Glimmer Glaze. And I also outlined the birdie image with a black pen to make it stand out more.

So now it´s your turn – there is still plenty of time to play along, so I hope to see you at MMCC!!!

Hints of Spring Vol 2. – Mixed Media Card Challenge

Hello there, time to bring you some additional inspiration to the March Mixed Media Card Challenge :)! This months theme is Spring and the optional element this time is a bird.

And here are some additional cards I created based on this months theme:

On the above card I´ve used some paper leftovers from the Teresa Collins „Save the Date“ collection kit. In addition I´ve punched out some butterflies, again using a purple sprayed leftover paper piece. I then added some yarn in matching colours and outlined the butterflies with a white pen. A pearl in the middle is for additional interest and the little puffy sticker (by Evalicious) is my sentiment.

This is a very clean&simple card, but I like how it turned out and I again got some stash busted too :).

My next card is very different to what I usually make, but I took out some older (as in: I´ve had them for a looong time :)!!) Hero Arts stamps and stamped the brach, fussy cut it (yes I did – and it´s very thin!!), coloured the leaves with a green marker and glued it down on the dry embossed piece. The clouds pattern comes from a Stampin´ Up! dry embossing folder – I just love it! I´ve also inked the clouds with a blue Distress Ink afterwards to give the sky more interest. Next I took a leftover piece (when I make mixed media stuff, I always save the colorful, random leftover pieces for such purposes as these!) of watercolor paper, stamped the birdies on it various times to get different coloured wings and bodies and then did some paper piecing and glued everything on their places. The wood veneer heart is covered with glitter glue and inside I´ve applied some Glossy Accents and poured some micro beads into the empty space.

Quite a lot of work for such a simple looking card, come to think of it ;-). By the way, the sentiment says: You are staggering!

So this was my take – now it´s your turn! Excited to see what you will make out of this challenge! See you at MMCC,

Welcome home – Mixed Media Card Challenge, more inspiration

Hi there! Today I´d like to shortly remind you of the ongoing December challenge over at the Mixed Media Card Challenge Blog. The theme is „home“ and as an optional element you are asked to use „lace“.

This is the second card I created based on this months theme:

I´ve first used a Hero Arts background stamp and hear embossed some clear embossing powder. The I applied some Distress Ink in several colours onto the background. After that I heated a wax silver crayon to create those random splatters. Then a ribbon and a chipboard house with a sentiment „welcome home“ next to it. The house is first coloured with „Wink of Stella silver brush pen“ and next covered with some glitter glue. Finally I added some „faux stitching“ around the edges.

That is my take, now it´s your turn to create a card based on this theme! You still have a little over 10 days to join in! Hope to see you at MMCC, lovelies!!

Stamped cards – Pipilonias kreative Welt

Hello there! As you might have noticed by now, I have a thing for stamps..lol..! I love to create backgrounds for cards and layouts using stamps. For these cards I used the Avery Elle stamp set and nothing else.

This is the stamp set I am talking about:

 http://www.pipilonia.at/Avery-Elle

and this is how the cards look like:

I used Hero Arts Shadow Inks for stamping and created a „faux woodgrain“ pattern onto the card background using the longest stamp of the set. After that I stamped a background on a separate piece of paper with the smaller brush stamps. The sentiment I then stamped using the Hero Arts Chalkboard stamp ink. Some „faux stitching“ here and there and both cards were finished in a flash.  Hope you get inspired and have fun with some stamping!!!

Creating custom layout backgrounds – Paperilla-lehti

Hello! I love to create custom layout backgrounds and when doing so, I usually start with a piece of plain white cardstock. This particular page is about my DS on his very first day of school and I wanted to create a matching background for the photo. That is why I chose clear alphabet stamps for creating a stamped letter background pattern.

I find that happy bright colours go perfectly with the layout theme, so I used 3 different stamp ink tones and lots of papers and embellishments from the Basic Grey „Capture“ and Echo Park Paper „My Life“ collections.

I also made a little step-by-step video for you to watch. Enjoy!

And here are some close-up photos of the layout, too.

I would love to see your custom made layout background papers, so if you got inspired, please do share 🙂 !!

Happy scrapping,
