Belated STAMPlorations 7th Birthday party – day 4

Hello and happy Thursday and welcome to day 4 of STAMPlorations belated Birthday Celebration! Today we have again plenty of inspiration prepared for you, so I hope you visit the blogs, leave comments and join in on the fun! Remember, there are plenty of possibilities to win some awesome prizes too!

For today´s post I´ve prepared not one, but two inpirational projects. One is an art journal page and the other is a slimline card.

https://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2020/10/belated-birthday-4.html

My first project is this colorful rainbow toned slimline card featuring the new Fanned Slimline Stencil. I love this one so much! What I did for this card is a used a yellow cardstock as my card base and mounted the white cardstock piece (which I had inked with Distress Inks thru the Fanned stencil first) on top. For a focal point I chose to ink a piece of white cardstock in orange tones and add faux stitching around the edges and a stamped sentiment from the new Bloomfully Series clear stamp.

For my second project I did an art journal page onto a piece of canvas in my black Ranger art journal. I used plenty of my new stencils here: on the background as a negative image and on the circles I used the „positive“ image.

I love the crazy look of this page! Works really well together with the accompanying right page too. This you will probably recognize from the Stencil Challenge Reveal post ;-).

Now hop over to the Day 4 post at STAMPlorations blog. There are plenty of prizes for grabs and a linky party going on. Also be sure to create a celebrations themed project and link it up! Lovelies, come and comment and link and play along!!! It´s a party week at STAMPlorations!!

Also notice that all products in the store are 10% off instantly throughout October. PLUS if you use my design team discount code: STAMPGIRLSANNA upon checkout when ordering, you will get this not-yet-released stencil called „Just Plaid“ for free!!

We have one more fun day ahead of us, so be sure to check out my blog also tomorrow for yet another STAMPlorations birthday celebration post!! See you then!

Be you AJ page

Hello and happy Friday! Today I´m sharing a sneak into my art journal. I have been playing abit again, but still not quite feeling it. I had so much fun creating the previous months and now it´s like I am in the middle of a standstill. Oh well, here is today´s share anyways:

Making the paper out of which I cut the little circles was fun! I really felt inspired while making that. Maybe I should have just stopped there? However, I went on and did this page. Didn´t quite feel it and also had no clue where I was going with it. But I finished it anyways.

I had Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays and her Scribble Sticks and paints out. Also a stamp set by Tim Holtz. And some old alphas and Wycinanka chipboard for creating the title for the page. It was good to use up some older product.

So I finished this page, but I am still not feeling the mojo. Therefore, I think I just need to take a real break from my craft room for a few days. Reload my creative energies abit and then try again.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend and lots of happy, crafty moments!

Random Roses

Hi there and happy Tuesday! For starters, my mojo has been off or a few days now and it´d killing me. I want to create, then I sit down and nothing comes to me, just nothing. And everything I try, just sucks. Like these roses!

So I scribbled some roses into my art journal in the hope that my mojo would get better. Well, it obviously didn´t – as you can see from the result. So I left my crafty area and went to my loom. Better results there. Well, it´s also very easy, as you don´t have to think much. Just make a row after another. I´ve got 1 meter rug done in 2 days.

And then there is this (pulling a face). It´s not good. It didn´t help me get motivated either. BUT I´m saving it as a reminder. Also I can, if I want, later paint over it. Or kannibalize it (like Dina says and does). So that´s today´s story.

Until I find am bit of a mojo, I´ll be by my loom, I quess :). Have a great day!

Art moves AJ page

Hello and happy Saturday!!! Today I´m sharing another art journal page with you, this time from my black journal. This is my first take on a kraft page. Turned out quite fun with gloss sprays.

I wanted to see how the gloss sprays show on a kraft paper background and bright colours show really well. I love the resist surface they create! And the slight shine!

I just added spray splots and let them run on the page and react with each other. After that layer was dry, I sprayed midnight thru a stencil of mine (see both positive and negative image on the page).

Next I added some Tim Holtz Tiny Text stamp sentiments and misted and pasted (modeling paste thru a stencil of mine) baby wipe circles. I love the texture they create!

For finishing touches I added some chipboard numbers in same colours as on the background and then wrote the quote with a white signo uni-ball pen. Simple and easy, still quite a few layers but also some white space left still.

And now the most important question: Have you played with Dina´s gloss sprays yet? I´ve played just a little and I love them. So much fun! Totally love the glossy effect they create and the fact that there is no shimmer or shine to them. I do love shimmer sprays too, but it´s nice using ones without for a change :).

Hope your weekend is great!! Happy crafting,

Looking back AJ page

Hello and happy Friday!! This also means some vacation time for me! Yay!!! I am again stopping by to make another art journal share today. This time it´s another face experiment. This one is very soft compared to the ones I have been sharing recently. I don´t know why she turned out like that, but really like the result. I always start with an idea and then it just starts to live it´s own life and turns into totally something else than I planned.

The starting point for this face was a Tim Holtz stamp set called Tiny Text. I simply applied grey StazOn onto the stamps, while they were still all attached to the packaging and stamped the words into my journal. I wanted to paint a face on top of stamped sentiments. So I did.

I think it was the words that let me to this softer look. I grabbed the gloss sprays and sprayed magenta, lemon, cheddar, white and fuchsia tones around the stamped are. Then I drew the face.

I colored the hair with Scribble Sticks (also by Dina) and wrote the quote. The eyes, lips and the blue splatters are done with Scribble Sticks too. All in all this was a really simple page to do. But I really like the look of it.

Now that it´s summer holiday time – what are you planning on doing? We are not going to fly anywhere, even though flights to some countries are already possible. Just playing safe and not stepping into an airplane. On the other hand, we miss the sea..so there is a certain conflict there. We´ll probably just end up spending the vacation at home in the end. Rather play safe than be sorry..

Have a great weekend, lovelies!
