Daily Art Practice – May 26th

Hello and happy Friday! Today´ s DAP-Journal share is here:

For this piece I used leftover newspaper bits, some old book page residues and added a magazine image (the lady) that I fussy cut on top. In between the layers I used washi tapes and gesso and on top of everything I added a Klartext stamp sentiment.

The sentiment translates to: “Alice first had to fall, before she was able to reach wonderland”. Keeping that in mind on my recovery journey every day. We all fall sometimes, we struggle and fall, but we always get up in the end and fight some more, right? Because, what else is there to do than to continue with what you have and try again, maybe next time wiser and a bit harder and more determined.

Let´ s keep that in mind and remembert to cherish all the good things that happen in between. Hope your weekend will be full of wonderful and good things!
Lots of love,
xxx, Sanna

Daily Art Practice – April 19th

Hello and happy Monday! Today I am sharing another Daily Art Practice journal page with you. This is how April 19 turned out:

I again used the Artistic Almanac 2022 as my starting point and really fell in love with this almanac page because of the colours! So I continued the color theme on the rest of the page too.

I basically have leftover paper bits and an old japanese postcard piece glued down to the page. To that I applied some white gesso and then added some Tina Walker washi tape on top. What you cannot see on this page, is the stamped sentiment, due to myself taking bad photos ;-). BUT, on the bottom (you can hardly see the beginning of it here..) there is a sentiment saying in German something like this: “and the world wonders”. That stamp sentimetn is by Klartext, of course.

I hope you enjoyed today´ s share, even though the photo is not complete.
See you soon again with more shares!

Daily Art Practice – April 17th

Hello and happy Thursday! Today I am again stopping by to share another Daily Art Journal Practice page with you. This is again done using the Artistic Almanac as the starting point.

I used old card bases and book pages to add to the almanac page, then added some white gesso and washi tape strips on top. In addition to that there are again Klartext stamp sentiments on the page.

These translate to: “Me: turn the music on!”, “My life: Ach”. I really like playing with old, vintage bits at the moment. They add such a nice character to the pages!

My life being a rollercoaster ride at the moment, these stamped sentiments really spoke to me. Therefore I used them here :). I am now recovering from the surgery and hoping that I will not have to see a hospital from inside for a LOOOOONG time. It´ s been a tough ride the past years and I am wishing for a more normal life for a change!!! If you are a praying kind, I would not mind you putting in a word for me. Thank you!

Have a great day,

Daily Art Practice – April 16th

Hello and happy Tuesday! Today I am stopping by to share another Daily Art Practice journal page with you! This time it´ s April 16th on the row:

I used Klartext stamps, Tina Walker washi tapes and leftover paper bits that have cool neon tones on them.

I really like this washi tape very much on the page. It matches the almanac page colours very well. The stamped sentiments translate to: up & away and off you go, just in case you were wondering :).

The past week has been exciting. Both my boys start a new journey in their life and are so much looking forward to it. I am very excited for them both!! I wish them the very best of journey and experiences on this new adventure!! Also I went thru another surgery and I hope this will be the last one for a long, long time. So now it´ s time for recovery and getting better again. If you care, do sent some good thoughts in for me, I could sure use them.

Daily Art Practice – Day 63

Hello and happy Saturday! Today´ s daily art practice piece is done and dusted. I didn´ t really feel like creating, this whole situation that is going on in Ukraine and the state of the world atm. just makes me feel that way. Therefore I just cut and adhered pieces onto the page basically.

Nothing really felt good when creating this page, so I ended up adding black washi tape across it and some thick Posca marker around the edges. It just felt good to make this type of page today. Not really feeling artsy with what is going on.

Here are a few detail photos:

Hoping you are speding some time with loved ones today and just enjoying the time together. Take care,
xxx, Sanna
