I have used pretty much all my favorite products on this layout: stencils, mixed media pastes and sprays, stamps, stamp ink, gorgeous papers by Crate Paper, stickers and wood veneer. All these things make my heart beat faster at the moment 🙂 !
I also used some sequins on this page again. Love these golden ones! I have previously glued them down using a regular paper glue, but found out that it is much easier to use glue dots for this purpose. Besides, this way they will not come off when you tuck your pages into a photo album :)….
For some reason this color combination makes me think of ice cream – I only wish the weather would get warmer soon so that we actually could go and enjoy some ice cream. With +5 degrees outside there is just not much point to it, is there…
I have hidden the journaling behind the photo. It is written on a small Manila tag.
This layout is based on the current OUAS challenge. The challenge was to create a page about a day that changed ones life. Well, I am certain the day my DS became a pre-schooler very much changed all our lives. All of a sudden he had to do „homework“, practise and draw all the time (not one of his favorite things to do, by the way) and get used to timetables. It definitely was a big change for him and for me – not being a small kiddo anymore. My journaling is all about my sons awakening to the fact that he suddenly had to follow timetables and draw alot. Which he hated, mainly because it was all premade chores with no place for creativity. Funny enough, at real school he found the handicrafts and drawing classes a lot of fun. I just wanted to document the fact how much he disliked the pre-school phase in his life, so that when he will be bigger, he can have a good laugh at it all (but he hid it really well, didn´t he, you could not really tell from this photo that the pre-school teacher took of him, could you?).
So this is my take on the Once Upon A Challenge April Challenge – Part 2.
Have a nice day, lovelies!
