Birthday card

Hello everyone! I am again combining old with new for cards. On this particular card I used the Dani Peuss May Paper-Add-On-Kit papers and a Klartext stamp with a stamped image I received in a swap for at least 15 years ago. Yes, I have been crafting for so long ;-).

So good to finally find the perfect spot for this cute image. And the perfect sentiment to go with it. The background paper is from the kit (a starry sky) and the stamp image is from the set “So viele Kerzen”. That translates to “so many candles” which perfectly matches her facial expression :).

I again used a slimline card format, because it looks more festive in my opinion and also gives enough space for the stamped image to “shine”.

Someone, who understands a joke/can laught at themselves, will receive this card. Too bad I don´ t know by whom the stamp image is. *EDIT* I did some background work and found the stamp!!! Yay!!! It´ s available at Viva Las Vega Stamps (linked in the product list, just in case you are interested). Here is a peek into the May paper add-on kit once more:

This is all for today, lovelies! Hope you enjoyed what I shared! See you soon, xxx, Sanna

#tuac5minchallenge – Day 3

Hello and happy Wednesday! It´s time for another The Ugly Art Club #tuac5minchallenge share. This is my day three:

And here is the making of this piece on a video:

I reduced my steps for this one and kept everything really simple. And in the end I ALMOST had time left over – just almost. I happen to love yellow, so there is that sunny background piece for starters. And then it´s Dina Wakley paint, some Viva Las Vega Stamps stamping, a piece of an old magazine (in German and it says: “The last rose” which unluckily in German is “Die letze Rose”. And in the finished piece you just can see the word “Die” which you could interpret as an english word and the meaning is not that good… I might go back and add something there later. Because the word gets misunderstood easily.

I added some inked, dried baby wipe, cord, another piece of tissue paper, a alcohol inked silver gloss paper piece that I had done using a Tim Holtz die by Sizzix. On top of it is a can opening lid and a brad. Just random things. And the droplets are Distress Crayon mixed with water.

That´s today´s take. I was much more relaxed doing this. I think I´m getting the idea slowly. Already enjoyed doing this abit more.

Have a great day,
xxx, Sanna

Here we go again.. – Studio Tekturek

Hello everyone and happy Saturday!!! How come it´s already end of August?? Where did this month go? Eek..soon the school starts again and fall is here. It´s been a strange summer for sure. But on the positive side, my mojo is back and I feel better again. Not so drained anymore. And today I´m also sharing my first DT project, created using the gorgeous Studio Tekturek Strawberry Shake collection.

Here is the crazy layout I created with the happy and bright summer collection:

There is a story behind these silly photos… These were taken by me in March while at the hospital (during guarantine, I might add!). A day after my cruciate surgery I was all alone in a 3-bed-room and bored. Also, I might have been unter the influence of painkillers still and I took these photos :).

I found that they work so well with this sugar sweet collection that I made them the focal point of this layout. I´ve used plenty of Strawberry Shake papers, stickers and alphas on this layout. Only the spray ink, stamping, acrylic embellishments are not from the collection, but from my own stash.

I´ve recorded a start-to-finish video to go with this layout, so you get a better idea of each an every step. Hope you like the video and get inspired!!

And if you fall in love with this colorful collection, do contact your local scrapbook store and ask them to stock up some Studio Tekturek at their store ;-). I´ll be posting a tutorial on the 29th of every month during my DT term, so if you liked what you saw, do come back for more next month!!

Wishing you a fabulous weekend and happy scrapping!

Be all there – AJ page

Hello and happy Saturday! Today I´m again dropping by to share another art journal page with you guys. For this one I also did a tape transfer image and it worked out better than the last one.

Maybe, because this one is black and white or the old paper was of better material (for that purpose?).

The rest is just crazy color areas, stenciling and stamping plus some white space.

I have again used paints and inks by Ranger Inc. and the stamps are by Viva Las VegaStamps. The stencils are from my stencil line as STAMPlorations. I had lots of fun creating this art journal page. It was a tad harder to do, due to the very small size of the journal.

But playing in my journals seems to be the thing that relaxes me the most at the moment. And being on knee recovery journey still, I need to find crafty things to do, that can be done anywhere, since sitting long periods by my craft table is not the best option yet.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Zufrieden – AJ page

Hello everyone and happy Saturday! How is your social distancing going? We are still hanging in there. As a creative I at least have enough supplies to keep myself busy.

Today I´m again stopping by to share an art journal page with you guys. On this page I again played with Distress Crayons (among other things..).

This page was again strongly inspired by a demo Tim Holtz did on FB live a few weeks back. He showed a fun technique with Distress Crayons and I used that technique for this page too. I added 3 circles into the middle and adhered/treated them with matte medium. After the layers were dry, I applied Distress Crayons on top.

Then I placed one of my STAMPlorations stencil designs on top of the circles and partly removed the crayon layer with a baby wipe thru the stencil. That way the newspaper layer peeks thru the “white” areas. I love this technique! It´s so simple and easy and so much fun!

I played with German words on this page. It´s all about one´s mindset behind the “journaling”. And I also added one of my fave Viva Las Vega Stamps into the middle circle. That is colored with Posca pens. This is a crazy page, but I liked creating it :).

What have you been upto lately? Are you creating a storm or do you find it hard to create while we are social distancing? I must confess, I have not only been creating, but also shopping supplies online – these FB lives by Dina Wakley and Tim Holtz are going to make me go bankrupt soon 😉 …

Wishing you a great Saturday!
