Carpe Diem!

Hello lovelies and happy Monday! Today I´m stopping by to share another card done with some new paper goods from STAMPlorations and combined with Studio Tekturek papers. Oh, and I also managed to sneak in some old border stickers from my stash.

So this is another win-win card where I managed to combine very old with new and make it work. Also, these tiny tiles from STAMPlorations are perfect focal points to card projects. You get several different ones in a set and can just cut one out that fits your project on that particular moment.

I again used some of my old favorite techniques too: lots of white space, some droplets, some stamping and a cluster as a focal point. It´s sometimes so good to return to old fave ideas, isn´t it? Do you do this often? There used to be a time when not a single project left my table without droplets and now they keep re-appearing again. I think there is always a time for certain kind of projects. I´ve also noticed that in summer I use lighter or brighter & happier colours and depending on the season my color choices change quite a bit. So for me choosing colours probably has to do with my seasonal moods/feelings?

By the way, there is also now a papergoods subscription avaiable at STAMPlorations, so do check it out. Here you can find the link there. And if you want to go and shop, remember to use my discount code to get 20% off your order.

Happy crafting,

Christmas cards with Very Much Merry collection – Studio Tekturek

Hello lovelies!! Did you know that Studio Tekturek has a lovely new collection out, called “Very Much Merry“. So this year, Christmas is going to be very pastellic toned. I love the designs. Especially the Santa journaling cards and the tiny Xmas tree paper!

I got this super cute paper in the works and I ended up creating a big pile of Christmas cards with it! A total of 11 cards for starters. Once I got started, I could not stop!

Here are the first four cards. Those Santa´s make me smile!! And the cute journaling cards are perfect for a December Daily, but also make a really nice detail on a Christmas card! I wanted to concentrate on the paper and leave them space to shine, so I kept the decoration very simple.

I did also make some shaker cards, by die cutting a Christmas tree from the patterned paper and filling the shaker part with various tones of confetti. Rest of the shaker cards I kept really simple, just adding the patterned paper and a little sentiment sticker.

I´ve also added some Nuvo Drops on top of the shaker Christmas tree windows. This adds a fun detail to the trees – almost like baubles.

The green and blue snowflake card have the patterned paper peeking thru from the background and an inked piece of white cardstock is on top. I especially love how the tiny Christmas trees are peeking thru behind the snowflake. The other cards I really clean and simple in style. I wanted to make them that way to get the papers stand out more. They are so beautiful on their own, that they really do not need much decoration at all. Some Nuvo Drops and stamping here and there and that´s enough in my opinion.

I´ll be sharing more projects, created using these papers very soon. I cannot wait to create Christmas present tags with this collection!! And also cannot wait to send these cards to friends and family :)!!!

Check out the Studio Tekturek STORE and spread the word about their lovely designs. It´s a small family business who can use all the support they can get, especially during these difficult times with lockdowns and social distancing!! Be sure to check out their store for more collection and designs and follow them on Insta.

See you soon with even more projects!! Happy crafting!
