Hello and Happy Tuesday! I make these with the Artist Almanac 2022 as my daily starting point. Today is again a tag, because I need to fit 365 days into 180 pages, so I need to additional pieces as I go. This is my take on February 7th Almanac page.
I used white gesso, Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks and Aladine IZink on this page. I also added some leftover bits form my “junk box”, like the punched glitter butterfly and the misted gaffer tape bits. For the stamp sentiment, this time, I again used the Tim Holtz tiny text stamp set.
And here are some detail photos:
I hope you enjoyed today´ s video. As usual, I will be back tomorrow with another piece. See you then! xxx, Sanna
Hello and happy Monday! It is again time to share my daily art practice 2022 art piece. I make these with the Artist Almanac 2022 as my daily starting point. Today is again a tag, because I need to fit 365 days into 180 pages, so I need to additional pieces as I go.
I used very little extras on this tag. Just some older pieces from my “junk box” and some ecodyed fabric, an old paper button and a pin. To the almanac page I just added a little Scribble Sticks splatters and used the Tiny Text stamp again from Tim Holtz for the sentiment.
And here are a few detail photos:
Wishing you a lovely start into the new week! xxx, Sanna
Hello and happy Sunday! It is again time to share my daily art practice 2022 art piece. I make these with the Artist Almanac 2022 as my daily starting point. Today is again a tag, because I need to fit 365 days into 180 pages, so I need to additional pieces as I go.
For this tag I chose an old vintage photo again and added leftover bits from my “junk bag” to. I do love the bright colours so much.

See you again tomorrow with another art piece! xxx, Sanna
Hello and happy Saturday!!! Today I´m sharing another art journal page with you, this time from my black journal. This is my first take on a kraft page. Turned out quite fun with gloss sprays.
I wanted to see how the gloss sprays show on a kraft paper background and bright colours show really well. I love the resist surface they create! And the slight shine!
I just added spray splots and let them run on the page and react with each other. After that layer was dry, I sprayed midnight thru a stencil of mine (see both positive and negative image on the page).
Next I added some Tim Holtz Tiny Text stamp sentiments and misted and pasted (modeling paste thru a stencil of mine) baby wipe circles. I love the texture they create!
For finishing touches I added some chipboard numbers in same colours as on the background and then wrote the quote with a white signo uni-ball pen. Simple and easy, still quite a few layers but also some white space left still.
And now the most important question: Have you played with Dina´s gloss sprays yet? I´ve played just a little and I love them. So much fun! Totally love the glossy effect they create and the fact that there is no shimmer or shine to them. I do love shimmer sprays too, but it´s nice using ones without for a change :).
Hope your weekend is great!! Happy crafting, xxx, Sanna
Hello everyone and happy Sunday! Today I´m stopping by to share a set of “tags” with you. I call them tags, but they are actually just wripped off pages from a small journal. I have been following Dina Wakley´s Facebook lives throughout the physical distansing period and have gotten addicted to her products :).
And on Friday these beauties arrived!! I had finally given in and ordered myself the gloss sprays!! And a few of Dina´s paints and some other goodies (by Tim Holtz). Thanks, Art From The Heart for the fast delivery!!
And then I started to play – I hadn´t used the sprays before, so there was lots of “spray and learn” things going on in my studio. And once I got the hang of it, I did a few tags, a few art journal pages and such. Here is the first “tag” set featuring some of Dina´s products.
I also used a spray ink by Lindy´s on the background (the brown one), but the rest is by Dina, Tim and Dyan. You guys cannot imagine how much fun I had!!!
On this one I just wiped some residue heavy body paint onto the background, then dabbed some residue gloss spray onto it and took a paint comb and did the pattern. Then Lindy´s spray on top and for finishing touches Dina´s washi and bits and pieces from her collage collective book and Dyan´s journal cover slip.
For the second one I did he background again with Lindy´s brown spray. Then I took bits from Collage Collective book and cut them into pieces and created the cluster. The stamping is done using StazOn stamp ink in dark grey and Tim´s stamp set called Tiny Text. I also drew a leaf branch with Scribble Sticks and added a button.
I really like the tags – I am for sure going to incorporate them either into an art journal page or onto a card at some point. We´ll see.
