Set of cards – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday! Today I´m stopping by to share my last August Deluxe Kit project with you. This one is a set of clean and simple cards.

For these cards I used white card bases as my starting point and then added either stenciling, ephemera or fussy cut paper as a focal point.

For the first card I added some Epic Triangles stenciling onto the background using Distress Ink, then layered a few Flower Market ephemera pieces on top and added tiny stamped images next to them. For finishing touches I used a Bramble Fox star and a puffy sticker from my own stash.

For the second card I matted the card base with a Pink Fresh Studio Everyday Musings paper then added a Flower Market ephemera as a focal point and stamped a sentiment with the stamp set from the same collection. For details I added some black acrylic paint splatters.

For my last card I fussy cut the Embroidery Hoops paper from Flower Market collection and added the hoops in a cluster onto the card. Underneath there is again some Epic Triangles stenciling with yellow Distress Ink and a few pink spray ink splatters. For finishing touches I added a faux stitching around the edges and stamped a few thank you-sentiments with the Flower Market stamp and black stamp ink.

This was a fun set to create. It´s not my usual card creating style, because the cards have hardly any media layers on them. But I loved using patterned paper for card creating for a chance and creating very puristic cards.

I hope you get inspired by this card set and create a few cards yourself. For more details on the Wild Hare Kits, see their website here. Wishing you all a lovely day and

happy crafting,

ps. This resulted from my August Deluxe Kit – all projects (and leftover bits) shared on this video. Hope you enjoy it!!

Mantis – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone, I am sharing yet another The Wild Hare Kits August Deluxe Kit project today, even though it´s already September. I had been creating several layouts last weekend, while waiting for my September kit to arrive :-D.

Here is my absolute favourite with this kit – it´s because I LOVE this paper!!!

I could create several layouts using this paper, I adore it that much :)!! Here is what I did:

I first arranged the paper onto the page very loosely to get an idea on the placement, then I took the Echo Park Paper Epic Triangles stencil and applied some green Distress Ink onto the Color Fresh “Paint The Town” paper thru the stencil.

Next I added some stamping onto the papers I had chosen using black stamp ink.

After that I crew a circle with a pencil onto the paper and started stamping leaves (using the Flower Market clear stamp set) around the drawn circle.

After that I added pink stamped hearts to the circle using the same stamp set.

Then I colored the leaves and the hearts using a water tank brush and Distress Inks and added some spray ink splatters in green and pink tones.

Next I arranged and adhered all the papers on place. I used the Pink Fresh Everyday Musings papers on the background and added a few details with the Flower Market Squares paper and Ephemera. There is also a bunch of Bramble Fox hearts on the layout.

The puffy stickers I used were not in my kit, but are from my older stash and by Amy Tangerine. They go really well with the August kit, so I added a few of them.

I also stamped the date with a regular office supply date stamp. I have noticed that if I don´t add the journaling and especially the date right away, I will not add it at all, and a few years later I don´t have a clue what year the photo was taken. So better to do it right away.

See the tag behind the photo? I´ve added the journaling there. It´s a fun way to add lots of text to a page, without it all showing at first sight.

So this is my last official August Wild Hare Kits layout. I still have a few papers left, mainly smaller pieces, but I´m saving them for later and might add bits of them to layouts I create with the September kit, we´ll see.

Hope you get inspired to scrap a little yourself and do take a look at the Wild Hare Kits website and order yourself a fun hand-curated kit! They are really worth the money as you get a customized kit, perfect for your current scrapping needs!

Happy scrapping,
xxx, Sanna

The Wild Hare Kits Deluxe Kit

Let me introduce myself – The Wild Hare Kits

Hi there, everyone! Today marks the beginning of my The Wild Hare Kits design team member journey and we start with a Q & A round today. So I hope to give you some insight on who I am as a scrapper and papercrafter by answering the following questions:

I think I have never introduced myself properly here on my blog, so about time to change that!!! Here are some infos on the “crafty me”:

1. What is the one thing people don´t know about you?
Hmmm… I´m a night owl and very often stay up too late and always regret it early in the morning, when the alarm clock goes off and I have a really hard time forcing myself out of bed at 5:30 a.m…..

2. How did you get into crafting?
I have been crafting basically all my life. The interests have changed over the years, but crafting has always been a part of me as long as I can remember. Papercrafts have been there all along and I´ve always done fotoalbums, but discovered the term “scrapbooking” itself back when my children were small and I wanted to do their baby-albums. Finally I had a word for what I was doing and I have been even more “hooked” ever since 🙂

3. What is something you are excited about in the paper crafting world right now?
Oh, the variety of products available for sure. When I started there were only so little possibilities, now there is practically everything available from paper to mixed media products and everything in between.

4. What is your favourite tool for crafting?
That would have to be stencils and stamps. I have way too many and I still find I could use a few more in my stash *lol*

5. What are your favourite patterns?
Graphical patterns, faux watercolor look on paper, black and white simple grafic patterns.

6. How many complete albums do you have?
Oh, I´d have to take a quess, because I´ve done quite a few over the years that I´ve given away as presents too. So there are plenty – if I count all the minibooks I´ve made there are for sure more than 50 even..? Honestly, I´ve lost count 🙂

7. What is your favourite type of embellishment?
I love using word&phrase stickers and ephemera as well as flair and tiny embellishments like stars for texture. These are followed by various mixed media products.

8. What brand do you keep finding yourself going back to?
This is an ongoing and ever changing list of companies. American Crafts, Pink Paislee, Crate Paper, Carta Bella, Pink Fresh Studio, Heidi Swapp and then there are some fab European manufacturers I like alot too. But I also decide based on colours and patterns alot, rather than look for a specific brand.

9. What is your best tip for getting in the zone and being productive in crafting?
I find good music always inspiring, also going thru and printing my photos usually gives me plenty of ideas and inspiration. The photo and the story behind it gives me the inspiration and thru the story of the photo I get a feeling for what type of product and colours/design I want to go for/work with.

10. Who inspires you?
Fellow crafters and my crafty friends. Depending on if it´s cardmaking, mixed media or scrapbooking, there are different people I admire and who inspire me. I´m a huge fan of many crafty peeps in the community and I stalk follow many of them thru my social media sites ;-). No, but seriously, there are so many talented people out there, how could one not be inspired by them?

11. Is there a new type of craft you want to try, but haven´t yet?
I haven´t tried paint pouring yet, but it is definitely on my to-do-list and I also want to give TN´s a try!! And pottery, jewellery making and black & white photography (mainly portraits) really interests me too.

12. What do you hope to see in the future for paper crafting?
I have been scrapping for a long time now and I always find it very sad when a company closes their doors/goes out of business. We need the versatility as there are so many types of crafters out there. Also I miss the magazines and the books. It´s so easy to find inspiration in social media, but flipping thru a real magazine and a book just has something special to it and cannot always be replaced by a site that might not be loading properly when the connection is bad, for example. And then there is the product. Who of us does not love new products? It´s such an important part of our hobby. I hope it stays versatile and innovative also in the future so that we can have plenty of fun in our craft rooms :).

And here are some bonus answers:

Home: Austria, Europe
Favorite color: blue on clothes, in crafting yellow, pink, aqua, lime green, black and white
Favorite way to create: in my craft room with nice music on and lots of light and plenty of time
Favorite vacation: anywhere, where I haven´t been yet, favorably somewhere by the sea OR in a city with lots to see
Something I´m looking forward to: I am very excited about this design team year and lots of scrappy time, gaining new crafty friends & planning our next vacation for 2020.
Favorite quote: Create a life that feels good on the inside, not one that just looks good on the outside.

Thanks for taking the time to get to know the crafty me a bit better! Next up will be some unboxing activities here on my blog, so be sure to come back tomorrow!! Also, layouts and scrappy fun will be coming up throughout the month with my August Wild Hare Kit, so stay tuned!! 🙂

Happy scrapping,
xxx, Sanna

Now, if you are asking what The Wild Hare Kits is all about? They are a kit club for papercrafters, scrapbookers, cardmakers, TN lovers, happy mails addicts and so much more! The kits are based on a style profile you create on their website for yourself/about your likes and dislikes and based on your style profile and/or your wishes you receive either a petite or a deluxe HAND CURATED kit. So, like for example, if you want to scrap your vacation photos from your last trip, you can ask for travel related/themed products, you can say what colors you´d prefer, what embellishments you like and don´t like etc. So it´s a personalized kit according to your wishes that you will receive! Awesome, right? And the best parts, you can order the kits in your own pace – like bi-monthly or however fast you are done with your kit and need a next one :). I love this concept!!
