Hi there, I´ve been keeping a secret and am now finally able to tell you about it. Do you remember Studio Tekturek? It´s a Polish paper company that has fabulous designs and colours and I was a fan of them from day one. And now…ta dah… after a break, they are making a comeback! I could not be happier to see them come back & I CANNOT WAIT!!!
And the good news?! I´ve been chosen a member of their design team until end of January 2021!! Wohoo!!!! I am over the moon happy about this new crafty journey!
And this is the fabulous team I am lucky to be part of:
Hi there everyone and happy Thursday! Today I´m just quickly dropping by to share a few hybrid cards I created. These are done using new digi files and patterned papers from my older stash.
Since the digi designs (Studio Tekturek) were very bold on their own, I didn´t want to add to much additional detail to the cards. So I just took a die cut die and cut the digi files into a right size. then I added some glitter drop and crystal glaze details onto them.
For this card I used a Tonic Studios rectangle die to cut the sentiment piece. Then added some crystal glaze (Nuvo) and a golden ribbon. Also a small clear sticker sentiment decorates the card additionally.
On my second card I pretty much did the same steps, except I also added that grey area onto the card. You are probably wondering what that is? Well, it´s a rub-off area, when you rub the grey layer with a coin, a sentiment will be revealed :). KInda fun, eh?
Here is a detail of what is hidden underneath:
So I basically just added the „never give up“ clear sticker sentiment onto the card, then placed the scratch off layer on top. Now the recipient has a fun interactive card!
Wishing you a fabulous day! Hope you are all doing ok? It´s day 25 for me here in Austria and yesterday I felt like I´d hit rock bottom on social distancing. Nothing felt right and I had no energy and felt absolutely demotivated on doing ANYTHING. So I went to bed early and today has been much better. Wishing you all a lovely Easter weekend. Let´s try and make the best of it!
Hi there and happy Sunday! Today I´d like to share with you some gorgeous sketches from The Nifty Pixel. These are always so much fun and easy to get inspired by!
and this is my take on the sketch on the lower right corner:
This time I´ve used papers from Studio Tekturek as my base and added some tiny elements from a The Nifty Pixel digi kit called „Sweet Thing„. So there is some hybrid in there too. Go check out that particular kit and many other gorgeous designs over HERE!
Well, there is not much to add to this short post than to note that time sure flies!! It feels like it was only yesterday that my boy was this cute little baby. And look at him now – tall and handsome (yes, I am biased & a very proud mum :-)…).
Oh, and I am very sorry for the poor layout image. Since I started working full time again it has turned into a struggle to be at home when there is still daylight around for proper photos… this was the best I could do – the colors are much better IRL, but I hope you get the idea. I am thinking of getting myself a photo tent to solve the problem…any recommendations, anyone? THANKS!
Hello there lovelies!! What better way to enjoy a grey and rainy Sunday than to scrap a little :). Here is a result of my scrappy morning activity – a layout based on the Paperdvizhnik´s current challenge. I am late on this one, but hey, it´s not closed quite yet! This time their challenge is about lettering and I do love lettering, so just had to join in on this one.
and this is my take:
I´ve used Studio AE stamps for creating some stamped lettering behind my photo. The hello on the bottom signals a start of the journey, then the twine is supposed to show the twists and turns along the way. Somewhere in the middle you start to wonder if you are ever going to make it and in the end the word smile greets one on the top of the mountain. Anyways, that was the idea behind it all. The quote is from me – I don´t know if it already exists somewhere in this form, but while creating this layout it just popped into my mind and I had to use it. There the lettering consists of various alpha stickers combined together. A good way to use leftover stickers sheets too. And I even added some hand lettering here and there.
Of course this mountain climbing is meant to be understood metaphorically – it´s the journey of life I´m talking about here. The mountain photo just perfectly matches the theme here, not the other way around :).
I really enjoyed creating this page. Love the papers I used, been hoarding them for quite a while already and think this is the perfect spot to finally use them. Also some awesome Evalicious puffy stickers found their way onto this page (love them!). Annd…cannot do without some flair – the are from Badges Folie. In addition it feels really good to put feelings and thoughts on paper this way. I definitely should do more pages like these, as they make me feel so good! Thanks for a fab challenge, Paperdvizhnik, I really enjoyed it!!
