#finishedinfeb – Card set 5

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday! I´m still going strong with my #finishedinfeb card challege, inspired by Donna! Today´s share is a set of three cards, created with the product pack I chose, before the challenge started (see photo later in the post).

For the card in the middle I first did a background using aquarellable crayons to create the watercolor look. Then I just added the heart stickers and the stamping, as well as the puffy stickers.

For the card on the very left I used a light blue background paper from one of the paper packs in the stash and then added the brush letter stamping and a few round stickers and a heart sticker for decor.

For the card on the very right I used a piece of light blue cardstock as y background (fussy cut into a banner). Then I added a journaling card and fussy cut the ice cream piece from another journaling card and attached it onto the striped one. The stamping is done with one of the stamp set in the product pack. The little “chill” banner on the very top is a washi tape piece from the product pack. It´s funny how well everything works together, as I didn´t particularly pay attention to what I threw into my product pile, when putting it together.

I cannot believe I´ve manage to make so many cards with this little product pack already. Of course, they are very simple in style and I haven´t added any dies or product like that, when creating the cards. That would give me even more possibilities, but I just wanted to challenge myself using only this product stash and so far I´ve managed to stick to it.

Wishing you a great week!

Card set – clean & simple

So these cards started off as a challenge under friends. Some Skyping was involved, as well as lots of good laughs and lovely chatting! And a card recipe of course! We were to use (I hope I get this right): black and/or white, plus one extra color (and/or shades of that color), enamel dots, shapes, stamp. Here is what I did:

Sanna LippertNow I still have several Studio Calico kits from previous years which urgently need to get scrapped/used, so I dug through them and found all these lovely bits and pieces. Only the felt bow is by Bella Blvd and quite new, everything else is from kits I used to order “back then”. Oh, and the black paper is by SODALICIUOS. Sanna Lippert

The 3 cards with pink, yellow and blue color I did according to the recipe (we were only to do one, but I could not stop there). And the last one is mainly in black and white – this one I kept for later, all the others are in the mail, or were delivered personally to my scrappy friends :-). Sanna LippertAnd what did I notice, I quite enjoyed creating after a recipe for a change. Someone else giving orders and making plans and me just following those. So much fun! And another surprise – I really, really like my clean & simple style cards!!! Quite much actually. I hope that the recipients will like them too.

The best part? The chatting and giggling with like minded people! Always the best bit!! Have missed that recently. It has been too long since the last time. And again I have to say that this hobby would be only half as fun without all the friends I´ve gotten through it!

Happy crafting, lovelies!!!

Remember to look up

Hi there! I found some time to play along at Challenge YOURself blog this month (it has been a while since I last joined in ;-)..). The challenge is about scrapping an affirmation. You can read more about that here at their blog.

I often look for inspirational quotes to keep me motivated, to built me up and to keep me focused. I have been making some big changes in my life since summer and it has all been for the good, but not always that easy so this months challenge theme fits my recent “state of mind” like a glove :). Here is my take on the challenge #11:

I did use quite a few motivational phrases on this page, but they all spoke to me, so I just had to add them. I also emphasized the word/quote theme by adding random alphas and number to the background. I really, really like how this page turned out. And can you see that there are no ink splatters, no stenciling,  and absolutely no stamping in there?!!! And it still felt totally comfortable to create this one :). I know, first that pinkish, flowery page, and now this?? What an earth is the matter with me??? 🙂

Thanks for a fun challenge, Challenge YOUrself!! Enjoyed it alot!!!
