Sunshine – MMCC April challenge reveal

Hello there, lovelies!! First of April already!!! OMG, time sure does fly at the moment. Since it is a new month, it´s also time for a brand new challenge! Here is the April Mixed Media Card Challenge blog´s theme:

It´s all about SUNSHINE  and as optional element you are asked to use BRICKS.

This is the card I created:

Sanna LippertMy card is made mainly with Elizabeth Craft Designs product – Shimmer Sheets, Silk Microfine Glitter and an embossing folder. There is first a sheet of old book paper underneath everything else. I then added a layer of Clear Double Sided Adhesive onto the book page sheet. Next I used the Stitched Circle die cut die to cut the circle (=sun). The rays are cut with the Ribbons die cut dies.

Sanna LippertAfter die cutting the Shimmer Sheet I ran it thu an embossing folder and adhered the sun and the rays on their place. Next I applied a layer of Silk Microfine Glitter – Warm Diamond onto the open areas between the sun rays and polished the glitter. After polishing I colored the areas with red, orange and yellow Copic markers.

Next I added the badge (3rd Eye), a sentiment and some black and white ink splatters. Inks are by Tattered Angels.

This is one bright sunshine card. I had fun creating it – I hope you like it too :). Now is your turn to join in with us on this fun challenge!!!! For more details go here.
See you at MMCC!!!
xxx, Sanna

For the Love of Circles – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello everyone, time for my second Elizabeth Craft Designs project for February. This time I would like to share a set of two cards created using the Stitched and Fitted Circles dies. I love using basic forms in various ways since they are so very versatile and never go out of fashion! Here are the cards I created:

Sanna LippertSanna LIppertLets start with the first card:

Sanna Lippert1: Cut a piece of Soft Finish Cardstock into a size of 5 1/4 x 4.0 inch and place 5 circle dies over the paper to die cut those areas. Run thru the die cut machine. Remove the circles and save them for the second card.

Sanna Lippert2: Take a second piece of Soft Finish Cardstock in the same size and add purple, blue and red spray ink onto it. Let dry.

Sanna Lippert3: Adhere the die cut „negative piece“ over the misted one and ink the edges of the card base with light blue Distress Ink. The card base should be slightly bigger than the die cut piece, so that the inked edges show and create a nice contrast to the white top piece.

Sanna LippertSanna Lippert4: Take the Seeds of Thought Red Rubber Stamp – Take Time and stamp the sentiment inside the misted circle areas. Stamp only a part of the sentence per circle. This way the readers eye will wander from one circle to antoher.

Sanna LIppertSanna LIppert5: Add some random black ink splatters here and there for additional interest. Let dry properly and then ink the edges of the piece with black Distress Ink for more interest. Glue on card base.

Sanna Lippert6: For the second card use the die cut circle pieces, a 4 2/4 x 4 2/4 sized piece of Soft Finish Carstock and a greenish blue piece of cardstock as a card base.

Sanna LippertSanna Lippert7: Use the same spray ink tones to color the circles, like on the previous card. Next ink the edges with black Distress Ink for more depth.

Sanna Lippert8: Adhere the white Soft Finish Cardstock piece onto the card base, then adhere the circles in a group. Add faux stitching with a black pen around the edges.

Sanna LippertSanna LIppert9: Use the same Take Time rubber stamp to stamp a sentiment next to the circles. Add some black ink splatters for additional interest and let dry. Here are close-up photos of the finished cards.

Sanna LippertyThese cards are very easy to create, yet thru the bold colors used, the circle images really stand out. I hope you enjoy this simple and easy to do idea and get those circle die cut dies out for play!

Have fun!
