TAGplorations December challenge REMINDER

Hi there, everyone! Today I´d like to share another TAGplorations December challenge project with you. With this project I´d like to remind you to join our monthly challenge over at the STAMPlorations blog. This one is all about tags and this months challenge is “All about Christmas”.

Here is my second project for this months challenge reveal:

For this tag I first inked the blue cardstock with a Distress Ink blue tone that is slightly darker than the background. Then I used a white gel pen to draw around the inked stencil image. This way the pattern stands out better from the same toned background and makes it look more interesting. I had already punched the snowflakes from the paper, so I just applied a double sided adhesive underneath and then added some Silk Microfine Glitter on top. It sticks to the surface and creates lovely, shimmery snowflakes as a centerpieces to the tag.

After that I just needed to add some faux stitching, a darker cardstock piece onto the background and some half pearls for decoration. The sentiment  in the middle is a leftover piece from a project I did for Canvas Corp – it actually is a piece from the paper collection name I just fussy cut to work as a sentiment for this particular tag.

Finally I just added a strip of ribbon on top and this tag was all done. This will make yet another nice present tag for my Christmas presents this year. Now is your turn, if you haven´t played along with us already, here is where you will find all the details about the challenge (also read the rules over here).

See you at TAGplorations,

Celebrate – Mixed Media Card Challenge, December reveal

Hello there, it is time to share the last Mixed Media Card Challenge for this year. This months challenge is all about CELEBRATION. As an optional element you should use VELLUM.

This is how my take looks like:

Sanna LippertI first took a piece of light blue vellum, stamped with a Hero Arts Snowflake stamp and VersaMark ink on it. Then embossed the image with white embossing powder. Next I took a leftover chipboard piece, inked it with VersaMark and applied several layers of pearl white embossing powder on it. While the powder was still hot, I stamp kissed it with the same Hero Arst Snowflake stamp. I layered both pieces onto a piece of glitter paper (love the shine!!!). Then I added a twine bow on top. For additional decoration I just added some white texture spray droplets and blue rhinestones.

Now it is your turn – hop over to the MMCC blog to take a look at the cards my team colleagues created!!! Hoping you will all still find some time to join in on this months challenge!!

Happy December, everyone!!

Greetings of the season

Hi there, you would think that this is the busiest time of the year for me, and it actually is, so I wonder why I still find so much time to take part on challenges at the moment!!?? Veeeery strange..or could it have something to do with the fact that I have not even started considering about Christmas yet. And that thought immediately sets me in panic ;-)…

But what I have been doing is creating Christmas cards. And this particular one was inspired by the current Fusion (Sparkly Christmas) Card Challenge:

I based my card mainly on the sketch and added a few sparkly details (the snowflake is covered with Distress Glitter and the golden doilie adds a bit of sparkle too :). Other than that I just added a stamped sentiment and a few ink splatters onto the background. The chipboard piece is from my older stash. Destashing here again :).

Thanks for a nice inspiration, Fusion Card Challenge Blog :)!
xoxo, Sanna

How is your Christmas card production going along? I am still at it. Yesterday while I wanted to clean my desk, I got totally distracted by the leftover pieces lying on my desk, so I went and created these cards instead of cleaning my table ;-)…

On the last card I used again DIY glitter paste in combination with a stencil. Just in case you missed, here is the tutorial on how to make that paste yourself.

Happy crafting,
xoxo, Sanna
