Hello brother – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone, today I have something special to share with you! KittyK8 and myself put up a little collaboration of our own for March as it turned out that her kit didn´t arrive to her, but instead is somewhere in Hungary at the moment (funny enough, next to Austria) and my kit went to Sydney (Australia, where Kate lives)!

So she contacted me to inform me about that and we figured, since both of us are still waiting for their March The Wild Hare Kits to arrive, we´d challenge each other with something else. So we pulled all our previous kits together and tried to put a DIY kit from our leftover WHK kits together that would be as similar as possible.

Here is mine:

I´ve got plenty of Pink Paislee Truly Grateful in this kit. Then some Pinkfresh Studio Office Hours, some Shimelle Sparkle City as well as Field Trip collection and Pink Paislee Again & Again papers as well as tiny bits of Flower Market by Carta Bella as well as Pinkfresh Studio Just a Little Lovely. The embellishments are by Brambe Fox, Pink Paislee, Pinkfresh Studio, Spiegelmom Scraps and Maggie Holmes. Also I used the monthly February cutfile for this kit.

And here is what I created:

I used the Pinkfresh Studio Office Hours „Inspiration“ paper as my layout base and added some Pink Paislee Truly Grateful and Shimelle´s Field Trip collection papers to the background. Then I went crazy with fussy cutting. I used plenty of the Pink Paislee Truly Grateful collection 2×2 inch papers and fussy cut words and images. I also added the monthly cutfile as well as some Bramble Fox acrylic embellishments to the layout. I had also picked the Pink Paislee Again & Again collection flower paper to my kit, but in the end decided not to use it at all. As I am scrapping a boy page, I intentionally used words and other images than flowers.

Creating my own kit from leftover kits was so much fun! You should definitely try out making one yourself. And then scrapping with it. I still have so much left from this kit – I could go on and make a few more projects with it.

And now I´m really excited to see what Kate created with her kit!!! She has more flowers going on in hers. I had the Pink Paislee Again & Again paper prepared for fussy cutting flowers, but in the end intentionally decided against it. I did a boy layout, so using flowers was not the first thing that came to my mind, so I stuck to words and other images than flowers. I´m excited to see, how much Kate was able to use on her page and how it turned out!

I hope we could inspire you to use up all the leftovers from your previous kits. It´s really lots of fun to create mini kits from leftover product and then challenge yourself to scrap with those. We´d love to see what you made, so be sure to tag us (@thewildharekits) while sharing on social media!!!

See you again tomorrow with my monthly wrap-up and then in April with the unboxing again!

Happy scrapping,

My circus, my monkeys! – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone, it´s my turn for another layout share over at The Wild Hare Kits blog again today and I am sharing this layout (with plenty of white space in it) on their blog.

I have plenty of silly photos of my boys and I love scrapping them! This one is no exception – try and take a proper photo (with a nice smile..) with them – no chance!!! 🙂

But these photos bring back so many good memories and I would not want to miss them!! Good thing, they are always their natural selfs in the photos!

For this layout I used the Shimelle Field Trip collection paper “Hear me roar” and it perfectly fits the photo! Both the colors and the theme fits so well. I pulled some additional product from my previous kits (January ´20 and December ´19) to the kit, as there were so little embellishments in my petite kit. So I am adding from my leftovers, which is a great way to bust those leftover kits. So if you have plenty of bits and bobs left, try ordering a Petite Kit and combine the leftovers. You will be surprised how well the product is compatible!!

For the steps I´ve again recorded a video for you to watch – this time again in fast-forward mode.

I hope you enjoy watching it and get inspired to try out a white space layout and maybe also order your own Petite Kit. If I got you interested – jump over here to fill in your style profile :).

Annd… when you share your WHK projects, remember to use #thewildharekits, so we can find you!! We´d love to see what you guys create with the kits!

Schulball ´19 – The Wild Hare Kits

Hi everyone, today I´m sharing my first The Wild Hare Kits layout, created with the February Petite Kit. For this layout I recorded a start-to-finish video and based my page on the monthly sketch.

Here is the sketch:

and this is what my finished layout looks like:

I´ve drawn quite a few embellishments and paper leftover pieces from my August ´19 and January ´20 kits as an addition to the February kit, because I didn´t have very many embellishments in my Petite Kit. Therefore plenty of papers! Sooo, I am pulling leftovers from previous kits to my actual kit throughout the month. And it´s funny how everything still works so well together!!

For the step-by-step I´ve this time kept the video in it´s true length, so you can see how much time such a layout takes and how many times I go on pulling away and adding to the page and seaching for the right spot :). So in all, this page took about an hour to make. I could do a fast forward, but I thought it would be fun to show you the whole, true process of a page coming together. At least, how I do it.

I hope you enjoy watching the video and get inspired to try out this sketch youself! I love the grip pattern!!! And if you got interested in trying out a Wild Hare Kit youself, then go here and fill in your style profile.

See you again on Sunday with another The Wild Hare Kits project!!

The Wild Hare Kits September Wrap-Up

Hi, it´s that time of the month again, so today I´ll be sharing my last September The Wild Hare Kits project with you and include a wrap-up video of all this months projects, created with this kit. Also, in the video I´ll be sharing what´s left of my kit after finishing all the layouts/cards etc.

So here is my last September project – a set of cards again.

I adored the Shimelle Sparkle City stickers that were in my kit, but didn´t find a perfect sport for the cars and the cute pigeons, soooo I used them on cards instead. I love, love, love my purple and pink toned and water color look kit to pieces!!! If you can´t remember, my kit consisted of “Just A Little Lovely” collection and Shimelle´s Sparkle City collection. Also a Carta Bella stencil called “Garden Geometric Stencil” came with my kit.

So what I´ve done is I first added some stenciling onto every card base using Distress Inks with a blending brush. Next I fussy cut some papers to create a background/cluster to the card. Then I added the stickers on top. Some are adhered directly to the paper, others I adhered using 3D foam pads.

For additional interest I added either black ink splatters or stamping with black stamp ink (using roller sentiment stamps mainly – those are from my own stash) or I combined both :). I know I´m repeating myself, but I love the pastellic colours and the purple and the watercolor look of my kit so VERY much!!! Thanks Allison, for this amazing kit! It´s kinda scary how well she “gets” me already..

And now for the wrap-up video – I hope you enjoy it:

I really enjoyed my September kit! It was perfect in every way! I know I said I´m going to do a journal with the 6×8 papers, but that is how it goes sometimes, eh? First you have an idea when unboxing the kit and in the end you end up creating totally different kind of projects with the stuff :).

So for next month I´m planning a mini.. let´s see what happens :-). See you soon (on the 2nd of October!) with the October unboxing video!!! Excited to see what kind of kit is waiting for me in October.

Happy scrapping and crafting,

You proved them wrong layout – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone, today I´m sharing my 4th layout, created with the September The Wild Hare Kits Petite Kit. I so adore this months kit. I love the colours and how everything in the kit works so well together!!!

For today´s project I´ve created a 12×12 layout using the second Just A Little Lovely collection paper by Pink Fresh Studio that was in my kit. I LOVE the b-sides of the papers in my kit!!! This collection has everything I love in it!!

For this one I´ve used following steps:

  1. Using the Garden Geometric Stencil by Carta Bella I´ve applied Distress Ink in yellow and blue tones onto the patterned paper with a blending brush thru the stencil.
  2. Next I added some spray ink splatters in green, pink and blue tones next to the stenciled areas.
  3. I then arranged the 3 black and white photos of my boy onto the page and matted one of the Sparkle City papers by Shimelle onto the cutfile. I love this cutfile, by the way! It´s perfect for so many different types of layouts, not just only for school theme!!!
  4. After matting the cut file I added some Sparkle City stickers onto it to create a look of book names on the book spines.
  5. Next I started arranging paper strips (Sparkle City papers from my kit) onto the background under and next tot he cutfile.
  6. I fussy cut a tag and a few journaling „speech bubbles“ and added them to the layout.
  7. Before adhering all the paper pieces onto the page I added some stamped sentiments for additional interest to the layout.
  8. Finally I added a glitter alpha sticker title to the page and a few black ink splatters here and there.

I´ve also recorded a start-to-finish video for you to watch. I hope it inspires you to scrap a little yourself!!! When using your Wild Hare Kits, remember to tag us and use #wildharekits doing so!! We´d love to see what you create with the kits!!

I´ll be back tomorrow sharing my last TWHK September project and a wrap-up video of all projects created with this months kit. Also I´ll be showing you what is left of my kit after scrapping lots :). So be sure to check back tomorrow for more.

Happy scrapping,
