Good morning lovelies and happy 2nd of April! Today it´s again unboxing day over at The Wild Hare Kits today. I´m happy to be able to share my April kit with you all today :-). I was a bit afraid my kit would not arrive in time, as the shipping information did not update itself for at least two weeks, but then, suddenly on Monday, the postman pushed the parcel under our garden door (no personal contact allowed, you see).
This is my gorgeous, colorful, cheerful and happy kit. I wished for one like this. And it´s again spot on. I wished for a colourful, happy and cheerful kit for April. Little did I know when I ordered it, that we´d be sitting at home and distancing ourselves from everything. Now that it arrived, I am more than happy that I ordered this type of a kit.
Here are the videos, let´s start with English:
Here is the one in Finnish:
And last, but not least, the one in German:
I hope you enjoy the videos!! I cannot wait to start creating with this kit!! And there is also one more kit I received a few days back, my „long lost“ March kit. For those videos, just hop over to THIS POST and watch :). I´m planning on creating a minibook with that kit some time in April too, so stay tuned :).
And now to my lovely fellow WHK crafters, here are some direct links to the unboxing videos by them – enjoy!
Hello everyone, today I have something special to share with you! KittyK8 and myself put up a little collaboration of our own for March as it turned out that her kit didn´t arrive to her, but instead is somewhere in Hungary at the moment (funny enough, next to Austria) and my kit went to Sydney (Australia, where Kate lives)!
So she contacted me to inform me about that and we figured, since both of us are still waiting for their March The Wild Hare Kits to arrive, we´d challenge each other with something else. So we pulled all our previous kits together and tried to put a DIY kit from our leftover WHK kits together that would be as similar as possible.
Here is mine:
I´ve got plenty of Pink Paislee Truly Grateful in this kit. Then some Pinkfresh Studio Office Hours, some Shimelle Sparkle City as well as Field Trip collection and Pink Paislee Again & Again papers as well as tiny bits of Flower Market by Carta Bella as well as Pinkfresh Studio Just a Little Lovely. The embellishments are by Brambe Fox, Pink Paislee, Pinkfresh Studio, Spiegelmom Scraps and Maggie Holmes. Also I used the monthly February cutfile for this kit.
And here is what I created:
I used the Pinkfresh Studio Office Hours „Inspiration“ paper as my layout base and added some Pink Paislee Truly Grateful and Shimelle´s Field Trip collection papers to the background. Then I went crazy with fussy cutting. I used plenty of the Pink Paislee Truly Grateful collection 2×2 inch papers and fussy cut words and images. I also added the monthly cutfile as well as some Bramble Fox acrylic embellishments to the layout. I had also picked the Pink Paislee Again & Again collection flower paper to my kit, but in the end decided not to use it at all. As I am scrapping a boy page, I intentionally used words and other images than flowers.
Creating my own kit from leftover kits was so much fun! You should definitely try out making one yourself. And then scrapping with it. I still have so much left from this kit – I could go on and make a few more projects with it.
And now I´m really excited to see what Kate created with her kit!!! She has more flowers going on in hers. I had the Pink Paislee Again & Again paper prepared for fussy cutting flowers, but in the end intentionally decided against it. I did a boy layout, so using flowers was not the first thing that came to my mind, so I stuck to words and other images than flowers. I´m excited to see, how much Kate was able to use on her page and how it turned out!
I hope we could inspire you to use up all the leftovers from your previous kits. It´s really lots of fun to create mini kits from leftover product and then challenge yourself to scrap with those. We´d love to see what you made, so be sure to tag us (@thewildharekits) while sharing on social media!!!
See you again tomorrow with my monthly wrap-up and then in April with the unboxing again!
Hello lovelies, it is again time for my February The Wild Hare Kits Petite Kit project wrap-up video. This time I am also sharing some background info, on why there will not be a March kit unboxing video from my part tomorrow.
Because of reasons Alison nor I can change, I will not be able to post an unboxing video this month. See, my kit got shipped in time, but something happened on the way here and insted of being shipped to Austria, the kit got shipped to Australia..
So until it arrives from there to me, it will take a few (or more) weeks. I will probably not be able to receive my kit in time for March. But as soon as it arrives, I will make sure to share it with you :). Just not right now. And for scrapping in March, there will also have to be a plan B. So I´ll be scrapping with what is left of my February kit and will be pulling product from my previous leftover kits to that and then creating with those. So sorry for that, but there is nothing we can do to change this at the moment.
And finally, I hope my bad luck regarding shipping is finally over. In fact, I feel it is. Just this once and then it will be all good again :). And as for crafting, I will need to take a little pause from crafting anyhow as I am about to go into surgery to fix my knee (had an accident in January). So wish me luck for that and we´ll be hearing each other very soon!
Hello everyone, it´s my turn for another layout share over at The Wild Hare Kits blog again today and I am sharing this layout (with plenty of white space in it) on their blog.
I have plenty of silly photos of my boys and I love scrapping them! This one is no exception – try and take a proper photo (with a nice smile..) with them – no chance!!! 🙂
But these photos bring back so many good memories and I would not want to miss them!! Good thing, they are always their natural selfs in the photos!
For this layout I used the Shimelle Field Trip collection paper „Hear me roar“ and it perfectly fits the photo! Both the colors and the theme fits so well. I pulled some additional product from my previous kits (January ´20 and December ´19) to the kit, as there were so little embellishments in my petite kit. So I am adding from my leftovers, which is a great way to bust those leftover kits. So if you have plenty of bits and bobs left, try ordering a Petite Kit and combine the leftovers. You will be surprised how well the product is compatible!!
For the steps I´ve again recorded a video for you to watch – this time again in fast-forward mode.
Hi everyone, today I´m sharing my first The Wild Hare Kits layout, created with the February Petite Kit. For this layout I recorded a start-to-finish video and based my page on the monthly sketch.
Here is the sketch:
and this is what my finished layout looks like:
I´ve drawn quite a few embellishments and paper leftover pieces from my August ´19 and January ´20 kits as an addition to the February kit, because I didn´t have very many embellishments in my Petite Kit. Therefore plenty of papers! Sooo, I am pulling leftovers from previous kits to my actual kit throughout the month. And it´s funny how everything still works so well together!!
For the step-by-step I´ve this time kept the video in it´s true length, so you can see how much time such a layout takes and how many times I go on pulling away and adding to the page and seaching for the right spot :). So in all, this page took about an hour to make. I could do a fast forward, but I thought it would be fun to show you the whole, true process of a page coming together. At least, how I do it.
I hope you enjoy watching the video and get inspired to try out this sketch youself! I love the grip pattern!!! And if you got interested in trying out a Wild Hare Kit youself, then go here and fill in your style profile.
See you again on Sunday with another The Wild Hare Kits project!! xxx, Sanna
