The Mixed Media Card Challenge – Autumn Colors, Vol. 2

Hi there, lovelies!!! I just love these challenges at The Mixed Media Card Challenge blog.. and by the amount of submissions we get every month, you do too :)!!! That makes us very happy, so keep ´em coming :)!! It´s time to share another inspirational card that is based on this months challenge theme and colours. Hope you get inspired and join us on this fun challenge!

Like on my previous card, I´ve played with the gorgeous metal sheets by Add a Little Dazzle again. Here is what I did with them:

I used a piece of silver colored sheet and run that thru my Big Shot (this flower patterned dry embossing folder is by Cuttlebug). Next I added some alcohol inks over the sheet (in reddish tones) and finally wiped over the embossed areas with a brown Archival Ink. That way the alcohol ink vanished from those areas and is replaced by the brown tone of the ink. It makes the pattern look more interesting.

…and this is what my card looks like. I´ve used this piece both on my original card and on this second one and I´ve still got plenty to play with. For this card I fussy cut the metal sheet into a leaf form and glued it down on it´s place. On the background there is a toned (acrylic paint) struckture paste in there. I´ve applied it onto the background thru a The Crafter´s Workshop stencil. Then just random color splatters here and there and a sentiment and some doodling around the edges. The cute little birdie is by Wycinanka.

Wishing you a lovely day and hope to see you join in with us on this lovely September challenge. There is a fabulous prize waiting for one lucky winner – so make sure you go by the rules to be in for the win :).

Happy crafting,
xoxo, Sanna

Free yourself – Off The Rails Scrapbooking

Hi there! It is again time for another fun challenge over at Off The Rails Scrapbooking. This time all in blue and gold (yum!) and this is my take on the lovely colour palette for September.

This is the palette to get inspired by:

And here is my take on it:

I have used a The Crafter´s Workshop stencil in combination with transparent modeling paste and loose glitter on the background. I then added patterned paper elements that match the colour palette and finally decorated with some wooden embellishments and word stickers.

The idea of this layout is about surrounding yourself with the right kind of people, not with ones that drain you and pull you down, but with ones that do you good. Thus the silly face pic :).

Hope to see you join in this month!!!
Happy scrapping,
