Fall 7 times – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello lovelies and happy Wednesday!! Today I´m sharing my first March The Wild Hare Kits project with you guys over at The Wild Hare Kits blog. There were some unexpected problems regarding my March kit, as it decided to take a world tour before arriving to me  (currently in Sydney, Australia and not here yet). So I had to make a plan „B“ on what to create with for this month. I took all my previous The Wild Hare Kits and pulled product together from those.

Here is the result of the DIY kit building:

You can see on the video what products I chose to use for this layout – all from my leftover kits! Since the kits always have so much in them, it is really easy to put together small layout kits with the residue pieces! I love my DIY March layout kit so much! And besides, I get to use up all my residue pieces this way.

For today´s layout I used the mothly sketch very loosely.

I´ve also recorded a start-to-finish video for you to watch. Hope you like it!! I´ve got Crate Paper Flower Market, Dear Lizzy She´s Magic, Pinkfresh Studio Office Hours, Bramble Fox embellishments and Jen Hadfield This is family featured on my layout.

I hope I could inspire you to take a second look on those leftover kits of yours and get your scrap on with them. And when you share your WHK projects, remember to use #thewildharekits, so we can find you!! We´d love to see what you guys create with the kits!

Happy scrapping,

Work Hard – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday! Today I´m sharing yet another scrapbook layout with you. This one is again created with The Wild Hare Kits October Petite Kit and as my inspiration for this particular page I used the October Sketch. Here it is:

And now to my take on it:

I mainly used the Pinkfresh Studio Office Hours collection to create this page. I immediately knew I wanted to use the „Hard Work“ paper for this page when I saw the sketch. So instead of using hexagons I used circles which I simply fussy cut from the paper. There were plenty to choose from, so I picked the ones I found most suitable. The ones with clocks kinda fit the working day/life theme quite well.

I first fussy cut and arranged all pieces onto a piece of white cardstock (that is from my own stash, not from the kit). Then I added stamping (for interest) with a roller stamps – again from my stash – and layered various embellishments from the Office Hours Mixed Embellishment Pack on top of the fussy cut paper circles.

Next I took some blue Nuvo Embellishment Mousse (from my stash) and mixed some of it with water. That creates a liquid you can create „ink“ droplets with. I added a few here and there, following the sketch, for detail.

I added some faux stitching around the circle elements with a black pen for additional interest.

Also there are some Office Hours Chipboard Stickers on the page here and there too for texture and interest. I used pens and office supply things, because, obviously it´s a work-themed layout.

I kept to a very clean and simple look without adding too much stamping and media as I wanted to hightlight the corgeous papers and embellishments. I also didn´t do a subtitle under the layout title, but instead added some journaling to the page.

If you like this month´s sketch, do give a try on it! We´d love to see what you make, so be sure to tag us (#wildharekits), so we can come and take a look on your take!!! Wishing you a great time with the Wild Hare Kits and their sketch!

Time Flies! – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone and happy Friday!! It´s again time for the monthly The Wild Hare Kits Scraplift share. The team members pick one member to scraplift every month and this month we are scraplifting the lovely Kate. Here is the layout I chose to scraplift (she does lots of happy mail and not so many layouts recently, but I managed to find one to scraplift :)!).

The above layout is her´s and now to my take on it:

Wreaths have been really popular recently in scrapbooking layouts. So I did one too, based on Kate´s layout. I loved to fussy cut the Truly Grateful No. 11 paper with the „Cuckoo Clocks“ on it and arrange them onto the paper to mimic a wreath.

I started by fussy cutting lots of cuckoo clocks, then took the 2×2 inch papers from the Truly Grateful collection and fussy cut some of the Phrase Swatch Book papers too. Next I added orange and green spray ink splatters onto the background. After that I took a German sentiment stamp set (Klartext) and stamped sentiments like „your rock and you are super cool“ onto the page.

Then I adhered all the fussy cut elements onto the page either with liquid paper glue or 3D foam pads (adds nice dimension). I also fussy cut and folded some tiny leaves from the cuckoo clock paper residue parts and added faux stitching onto them with a white gel pen. Then all I needed to do was to add the photo (I matted the photo with 3 pieces of swatchbook papers from the Truly Grateful collection).

I adhered the title on the Office Hours embellishment packaging paper to make it stand out better. The alphas were from my own stash as I didn´t have any in my kit. I also added a few tiny fussy cut butterflies here and there, also from the Cuckoo Clock paper. And there is one flair on the page too. It´s also from my older stash, but I found it matched the layout theme perfectly.

I had a really great time scraplifting Kate´s layout!!! It was fun to do something I don´t do that often! I love the wreath, loved all the fussy cutting, arranging and layering. And that Cockoo Clock paper is one of my big faves from this kit! LOVE IT!!!

If you want to see what the other design team girls scraplifted, then hop over to the Wild Hare Kits blog to take a look! You will not be disappointed!!!! I love these scraplift challenges – if you would like to join us, we´d love to see your takes on Kate´s work. Just remember to tag us (#thewildharekits), so we find you and can come and leave some love on your work!

See you again on the 27th with yet another The Wild Hare Kits project – cannot wait to share!!!

We Love To Travel – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone and welcome to another The Wild Hare Kits August kit project share here on my blog. For today´s project I´ve created a clean and simple scrapbook layout using The Color Fresh and Flower Market collections from my August Deluxe Kit.

Here is what I created:

For this laoyut I´ve used a piece of white cardstock as my layout background and then build everything else on top of it. I cut the Color Fresh „Counting on You“ paper into strips with scissors and used my sewing machine to sew all the stips onto the white cardstock.

I love, love, love this paper so very much! That is also why I didn´t want to add too many details on top of it, so I went for a clean grid look. I used 4 color photos and arranged them very randomly onto the page. Then I fussy cut the Flower Market „Squares“ paper into 2×2 inch squares and arranged a selection of those around the photos, creating a grid look.

After I was happy with the placement, I adhered every single piece onto the background with paper glue and chose various older alphas from my stash to create a multi-colored title. I didn´t have any alphas in my kit this time, so I have been adding ones from my stash that I find would fit the kits color scheme. For finishing touches I added a date stamp into one of the squares and also wrote some journaling onto another. I also managed to add a few Bramble Fox stars here and there (I adore them and keep on adding them to each layout I make :-D!).

I´ve also recorded a short video while I was creating – hope you like it!

I hope you enjoy today´s post and get inspired to scrap a little yourself! Also, if you are looking for a hand-curated kit that fulfills all your dreams, HERE is the link you need to check out!

I still have a few papers left from my kit, so be sure to check back here to see what I created with those :)!

Blue hour – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Like I told you previously, I´ll be doing guest design team posts for Elizabeth Craft Designs starting from January and today is my turn to share my first project with you. I´ve created a scrapbook page and then after finishing it, had plenty on product left, so I created a total of three cards with the leftover pieces. Both the layout and the cards have a start-to-finish video to watch. Hope you enjoy it!

This is the layout I created:
It has been almost ten years since I last was in Finland during winter. That is so long ago – I definitely need to go more often! This picture was taken during my last winter visit there and it reminds me of the cold weather. When it is really cold, the snow makes noises under your feet, it crunches. Then there is the blue hour, sligthly after sundown, when everything around you turns a blue shade. I love that moment. This picture was taken during the blue hour and it reminds me of all the things I am familiar from winter. Funny, I´d never think I´d miss that, actually. That is what this layout is about.

Then I made a couple of cards with all the pieces left over from the layout: For the first one I used the leftover 3D foam adhesive sheet from Scrapbook Adhesives. I covered it with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter and then added some stamped and die cut, colored trees and a stamped and die cut sentiment to it.

For the second card I used the dotted paper strip – which I cut out from the layout background to save some paper for later – as my card background and added a leftover snowflake as a centerpiece on it. I stamped and die cut sentiment which I inked iwth blue Distress Ink to make it stand out from the bakground, finishes the card off.

And for the third card I used the negative glitter foam piece, from which I die cut the alphas for the layout title, as my focal point of the card. The fun part of this piece is the red matted word „Hi“ on the right upper corner. I only needed to add the leftover tree and some die cut and stamped stars, a small hand drawn heart and the stamped and die cut word on top. As a base I again used a piece of the dotted blue paper. I´ve prepared a video for you to watch, to give you a better idea of all the product used and step I did. Hope you like it!

So next month is February which means Valentine´s Day – I have a feeling you will be seeing something love themed next month from me :).

Until then, have fun crafting!!!
