Daily Art Practice – Day 53

Hello and happy Wednesday! Here is today´ s Daily Art Practice piece with the Artist Almanac 2022.

I used Neocolor 2 crayons on a piece of ledger paper and Posca pens with Klartext Stamp set Nr. 1211 “Klare Worte” and a roller date stamp. The yellow drawn circles are done with Nuvo watercolour pencils.

Here are some detail photos:

I have now used both “Denglisch” stamp sets on all the previous pages, so I swapped to another Klartext stamp set for this page. This sentiment means translated: “thank goodness no-one can hear my thoughts”.

That´ s all for today – see you again tomorrow!!!

#tuac5minchallenge – Day 12

Hello and happy Thursday! Today it´s DAY 12 of The Ugly Art Club #tuac5minchallenge and here is my take:

And as usual, the video for you to watch:

Now as I am looking at this I suddenly notice that I´m kinda leaving the “ugly” art. At least I don´t think flowers are ugly, so I might need to rethink what “junk” pieces I pick as my starting point. This is all junk on this piece – leftover paper with leftover inks and stamped images on it, so therefore I chose it. But it kinda looks very cute… hmmmm… I´ll try and do better next time..

Have a great day!

#tuac5minchallenge – Day 11

Hello and happy Wednesday! Mid week – yay!! Here is my take for Day 11 at The Ugly Art Club´s #tuac5minchallenge. Now that you already know what this is about I´ll just add the finished piece and the video every day to save time.

You can find all the steps in the video anyway, so no need to write them down and I also try to find alternative products (similar to the used ones) linked to the product list, just in case you want to create something similar yourself.

I again ran out of time. I would have wanted to add more, but forced myself to stop, because the challenge is about keeping the time frame in about 5 minutes.

It´s good practice to try and do only short periods. Usually, when I sit down and work on a project, hours just run by without me noticing. So it´s good to set a timer and show myself that sometimes only a little time is enough. And then there is plenty of time for other stuff too.

Have a great evening!

Work Hard – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday! Today I´m sharing yet another scrapbook layout with you. This one is again created with The Wild Hare Kits October Petite Kit and as my inspiration for this particular page I used the October Sketch. Here it is:

And now to my take on it:

I mainly used the Pinkfresh Studio Office Hours collection to create this page. I immediately knew I wanted to use the “Hard Work” paper for this page when I saw the sketch. So instead of using hexagons I used circles which I simply fussy cut from the paper. There were plenty to choose from, so I picked the ones I found most suitable. The ones with clocks kinda fit the working day/life theme quite well.

I first fussy cut and arranged all pieces onto a piece of white cardstock (that is from my own stash, not from the kit). Then I added stamping (for interest) with a roller stamps – again from my stash – and layered various embellishments from the Office Hours Mixed Embellishment Pack on top of the fussy cut paper circles.

Next I took some blue Nuvo Embellishment Mousse (from my stash) and mixed some of it with water. That creates a liquid you can create “ink” droplets with. I added a few here and there, following the sketch, for detail.

I added some faux stitching around the circle elements with a black pen for additional interest.

Also there are some Office Hours Chipboard Stickers on the page here and there too for texture and interest. I used pens and office supply things, because, obviously it´s a work-themed layout.

I kept to a very clean and simple look without adding too much stamping and media as I wanted to hightlight the corgeous papers and embellishments. I also didn´t do a subtitle under the layout title, but instead added some journaling to the page.

If you like this month´s sketch, do give a try on it! We´d love to see what you make, so be sure to tag us (#wildharekits), so we can come and take a look on your take!!! Wishing you a great time with the Wild Hare Kits and their sketch!

Happy scrapping,

My favourite two – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone and welcome to the Wild Hare Kits Design Team´s monthly scraplift post! Last month we scraplifted the lovely Rachel and this month it´s Laura Rahel Crosby who we are scraplifting!!!

Here is her project I chose to scraplift this month:

And here is my take on it:

I´ve also recorded a video on the process for you to watch. I hope you enjoy it!!

I chose this layout for scraplifting, because  I found the idea of creating a paper roll title just awesome! That is what immediately inspired me. I created a smaller page in size, so I had to rearrange and rethink the arrangement for my page. BUT even though my page looks different to hers, I kept to the basic idea of using two photos, creating the fun title, using stickers and puffy stickers for decoration. I know she used enamel dots in stead of puffy stickers, but I didn´t have any around atm. I think you can still recognize the similarities, even though the end result differs in size and arrangement.

This was a fun challenge, because I had to improvise a little more than I did last month. I hope you find inspiration and scraplift one of Laura´s pages too. Be sure to tag her and the Wild Hare Kits and use #thewildharekits when sharing on your social media!!!

I´ll be back with another project on the 29th, so be sure to come and check it out!

Happy scrapping,
