Daily Art Practice – Day 59

Hello and happy Tuesday! I have another daily art practice “page” done and dusted. This time it is another tag to be added to the journal later.

I took a kraft tag and added the fussy cut part of the almanac page to it after applying Distress Crayons, Posca marker and Sharpie onto the background. After that I just added another Klartext stamp to the tag.

Here is the video:

The stamp sentiment translates to something like: “Time heals nothing, it only makes sure that your memories start to fade.” And here is the MONTHLY FLIP-THRU VIDEO:

Thanks for looking! Have a good week!

Daily Art Practice – Day 21

Hello and happy Saturday! Today´ s page is for a change a full / bigger one. I really struggled with this one, because I just didn´ t know where I wanted to go with it.

All I knew is that I wanted to use magenta and yellow. I also had a very old washi tape that just would not work properly – I hardly could get it from the roll!!! Took me ages just to do those bits.

So the page was full of frustrating moments and cluelesness. I therefore like the denglisch sentiment here so much. It says “sponge over it” which translated means something like: “forget it” / “let´ s move on” / “no hard feelings”.

Here is the video to my chaos page of today:

and some detail photos:

See you again tomorrow with a hopefully better page. Now to enjoy the weekend!

Daily Art Practice – Day 12

Hello and happy Thursday! Today´ s Daily Art Practice with the Artist Almanac 2022 is again done and dusted. I had so much fun with this one too. I took my Neocolor II crayons out and played with them and very, very old border stickers. And I had so much fun!

I used colours that I don´ t usually use that often. Red and yellow. I love yellow, but red is at the moment not on my “fave list” for some reason. I feel more drawn to earth tones for some reason. And yellow :). But because there was red on the almanac page, I chose to use it.

I fussy cut the almanac page into tiny bits and added them to the background. And I love how you can see the border sticker peeking thru from the back also. And of course another “Denglisch” stamp in there :).

Hope to see you tomorrow, when I share my Thursday almanac page creation. Take care until then,

Calm AJ Page

Hello everyone and happy Friday!! I have been playing in my Dylusions Creative Journal again and I must say I love this bigger size.

For this page I started with various spray inks on the background. The leaf pattern is misted thru a leftover die cut paper sheet. I also pressed various leftover spray inks from stencils onto the background. Thus the random color “splots”. Next I added some old rub-ons onto the background. I´ve had them for years and they still worked!

Then I drew the face. This time I only added some colour to the eyes and the lips. On top of it all I painted some patterns with Distress Crayons.

On top of that I added some red spray ink thru one of my own stencil designs. Then I wrote the quote and fussy cut some Dina Wakley washi tape circles and adhered them to the page. For finishing touches I added a little stamping.

I had a fun time creating this face. It´s again a little bit different that then previous ones. Still dabbling there to find the way to draw them the way I enjoy the most.

Wishing you a creative weekend!
