Hi there! How do you keep track of upcoming birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and other special events? Do you make handmade cards for each one? And how do you KEEP TRACK on all those occations? I used to have a table calendar for those occations which however meant that I needed to copy various dates from one year to the next to be able to keep track. The electronical devices are great for keeping track on important dates, but they are not as fun as a table calendar. I used the 7gypsies Book Stand and book covers with inside pockets to create this fun table stand calendar. The 7gypsies book stand sizes perfectly for a 5×7 book vertically or a 4×6 horizontally. The stand comes with the upright, crossbar, stand, 2 rings and 10 4×6 photo holders. The only thing I changed were the book rings. I wanted them slightly bigger than the ones that come with the set. Thus the blue ones on this project.
We all use our mobile devices and social media for keeping up with family, friends and colleagues. I however find that it is nice to have a calendar on my desk to write things down in an old fashioned way. So why not also create a separate birthday table pocket calendar to keep up with anniversaries, birthdays and other important dates! The 7gypsies display stand is just perfect for this purpose. It comes with album sleeves and in addition is very decorative, when finished! I now have my very own DIY table birthday calendar, separated in quarters and each quarter had 3 sleeves/pockets for writing down each months important dates. I just need to flip thru it and open the right month and there is no more forgetting about birthdays, anniversaries and other major dates!
Here is how I created the calendar:
Step 3: Mist the French Script canvas piece with blue Glimmer Mist, mist a piece of ivory cardstock or a tag with light pink Glimmer Mist. Now punch butterflies from the light pink toned paper. Mist paper to the color you wish and punch, cut or die cut into the shapes you need.
The page protectors are perfect for 4×6 photos, postcards or even recipes for example.I hope you get inspired to create your own stand project. It does not have to be a birthday calendar, it can be a minibook, an ATC display or a card display – whatever you feel like creating! I love this stand, it is so very pretty and adds a nice touch to my working area and studio!!
