Alles Gute!

Hello and happy Monday! Here is one more stash-busting-project based card. I hope you are not getting tired of these? I love making them and discovering, how quite old produkt works together with newer ones. And the funny thing is, they REALLY do! Even the colours match! How amazing is that!??

For this card I again used the Pink Paislee Truly Grateful tiny 2×2 inch paper pads to create the “quilt-style” background. The size is perfect for a card background!

And for decor I used really quite old embellishments (chipboard flowers etc.). These are mostly by Basic Grey (I think) and Cosmo Cricket and go quite a long time back in time. At least 10 years if not longer…

For additional decor I added hand drawn faux stitching and a stamped sentiment from my Stampin´Up! stamp collection. That´s the whole magic behind this card. And it´s still quite flat, so it should be not problem to mail it to someone.

I hope your week got a good start and you get to enjoy summer abit. I have a few things planned, crafty wise, but this time it´s more home improvement type of crafting. I am planning on painting a room and decorating it totally new. I might even add a few photos during the process to my blog, if you are interested. So let me know :).

Happy birthday – card

Hello everyone and happy Saturday! Today I´m sharing another clean and simple card, done using some Pinkfresh Studio/Altenew stamps with matching dies.

I haven´t given “proper” coloring a try so far. I think it´s because I don´t have the patience. I bet if I put my mind to it, I could eventually do nice coloring, but it just hasn´t been my number one priority so far. Therefore I love layering stamps you can “color” flowers and leaves with :). So easy and not much thinking necessary.

That is why I adore this stamp and die set. So, so cool to work with. I´ve done several colours so far and it has always been so much fun. This is my latest take – soft pastel colours in Kitsch Flamingo. The stencil on the background is from my stencil line at STAMPlorations and works really well with the flower. The sentiment is older Stampin´Up! collection and the drops are done with Nuvo Drops.

I have been thinking about signature style alot. I really don´t know if I have one. I love to use certain products and media, but that hardly counts as signature style. When you see my work, do you immediately recognize it is done by me? And what makes it stand out as my work? I´d love to hear your comments on that, so please drop me a line (if there are still any people reading this blog?!!)… Thank you!

Wishing you a lovely weekend! Lots of sunshine, creativity and summer joys! xxx, Sanna

Thankful for you – card, vol. 2

Hello and happy Saturday! Today I´m stopping by to share another clean and simple card with you, created using some lovely “build a flower” stamps and dies by Pinkfresh Studio & Altenew.

I love making these cards!!! If you are not much of a coloring person, then this type of stamps are just the thing to look for. You can do cool shading and shadows by builing layers with the stamp set.

Then just die cut and add to a stenciled card background and you have a lovely flower card done in no time! And you can easily make multiples, while you are at it. Perfect for invitations, for example :).

I do love this stamp and die set! It´s so pretty!!! Have you tried these yet?

Happy weekend!

You proved them wrong layout – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone, today I´m sharing my 4th layout, created with the September The Wild Hare Kits Petite Kit. I so adore this months kit. I love the colours and how everything in the kit works so well together!!!

For today´s project I´ve created a 12×12 layout using the second Just A Little Lovely collection paper by Pink Fresh Studio that was in my kit. I LOVE the b-sides of the papers in my kit!!! This collection has everything I love in it!!

For this one I´ve used following steps:

  1. Using the Garden Geometric Stencil by Carta Bella I´ve applied Distress Ink in yellow and blue tones onto the patterned paper with a blending brush thru the stencil.
  2. Next I added some spray ink splatters in green, pink and blue tones next to the stenciled areas.
  3. I then arranged the 3 black and white photos of my boy onto the page and matted one of the Sparkle City papers by Shimelle onto the cutfile. I love this cutfile, by the way! It´s perfect for so many different types of layouts, not just only for school theme!!!
  4. After matting the cut file I added some Sparkle City stickers onto it to create a look of book names on the book spines.
  5. Next I started arranging paper strips (Sparkle City papers from my kit) onto the background under and next tot he cutfile.
  6. I fussy cut a tag and a few journaling „speech bubbles“ and added them to the layout.
  7. Before adhering all the paper pieces onto the page I added some stamped sentiments for additional interest to the layout.
  8. Finally I added a glitter alpha sticker title to the page and a few black ink splatters here and there.

I´ve also recorded a start-to-finish video for you to watch. I hope it inspires you to scrap a little yourself!!! When using your Wild Hare Kits, remember to tag us and use #wildharekits doing so!! We´d love to see what you create with the kits!!

I´ll be back tomorrow sharing my last TWHK September project and a wrap-up video of all projects created with this months kit. Also I´ll be showing you what is left of my kit after scrapping lots :). So be sure to check back tomorrow for more.

Happy scrapping,

Meine zwei Hübschen – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone and welcome to my first The Wild Hare Kits September Petite Kit project share! This month I received a Petite Kit from The Wild Hare Kits to design with and it had 2 sheets of Pink Fresh Studio´s “Just A Little Lovely” collection papers in it and I just ADORE them – especially the B-Sides!!! <3

I started September off by creating a layout based on this months sketch. Have you played with the Wild Hare Kits monthly sketches yet? I find them very inspiring and always have a great time playing with them!

Here are the steps I did to create the layout:

  1. Take pink, green and blue spray inks and mix them with a little bit of water to create a lighter tone and a more liquid watercolour look. Now grab a paint brush and apply the deluted ink onto the page copying the watercolour look of the paper, but only apply the paint onto the areas according the September sketch.
  2. After the first layer is dry, apply some ink droplets randomly onto the background for additional detail. Use the same colours.
  3.  Next place a stencil – I used my Carta Bella Garden Geometric Stencil which came with the kit for this purpose – onto  the Just A Little Lovely paper on top of the previously painted area and apply Nuvo Mother of Pearl Embellishment Mousse with a palette knife onto the background for interest and texture. Let dry properly before moving to the next step.
  4. Now take the Sparkle City Speech Bubble paper and fussy cut the speech pubble with scissors. Arrange onto the page, but don´t adhere it on place yet.
  5. Next take the Shimelle Sparkle City sticker sheet and add the green toned border sticker (cut in smaller pieces) next to the speech pubble paper and underneath it, so that is shows only partially.
  6. Keep adding more decorational elements from the Sparkle City collection papers and sticker sheet until you are happy with the result. Then arrange the photos in place and adhere everything on their places. Add additional decoration using sentiment and/or word stamps next to the photos.
  7. Finish the page off by outlining it with a black pen, then attach the glitter alphas on place to build a layout title.
  8. You can also add journaling, but I chose not to, as I find that the title tells it all.

I´ve again recorded a video for you to watch. I hope it inspires you and gives you a better idea on each an every step!

Also, we always love to see you take your twist on our monthly sketch!! So if you do, be sure to tag the Wild Hare Kits on social media and/or use #thewildharekits, so we can come and leave some love!! We´d love to see what you make!

Happy scrapping and see you again on the 22nd with another TWHK project share!!!
