Hello lovelies, today I´m sharing a retirement card idea with you. A colleague recently had her last work day (ever) at work and I created a card for the occation. She loves to travel and has lots of plans for her retiment time including heavy travelling, thus the beach scenery. This is what I came up with:
It´s a die cut card with banners that has „Forever vacation“ sentiment written on them. And since the theme was „vacation forever and ever“ I figured that a palm tree scenery would fit perfectly.
I´ve first die cut all elements from White Soft Finish Cardstock and folded a A4-sized paper to create the white card base to build my card on. All the die cut dies are mainly by Elizabeth Craft Designs, only the tiny sun is an older Sizzix die.
After die cutting, I inked all the elements with various Distress Ink tones in green, brown, yellow and brown.
Then I adhered everything on place with a paper glue and decorated the edges with a black pen (faux stitching).
The recipient really liked her card so my card mission was a success :). Stop by my blog on Monday for a baby boy card idea.
Wishing you a lovely weekend and hopefully some sunshine too!
