Happy Monday everyone! How about another set of Christmas cards? These again are fairly easy to create. You just need a piece of this patterned paper on ivory, a few of your favorite Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist tones, some burlap to go with the mists and finally some chipboard, a piece of twine, some Christmas sentiment stamps and a paper glue. And if you want, a few half pearls to finalize the “ornaments”.
Here is a finished set of cards:
I first cut the patterned paper into a right size, then I misted the pieces with blue, green and brown Glimmer Mist.
Next I added some white paint droplets onto the background. Then I cut the burlap (black, blue & green) to match the size of the chipboard ornaments (these are by the way by Wycinanka). I then first glued the piece of burlap down onto the card, then adhered the chipboard piece.
Next I added the twine and painted some parts of the ornament with red glimmer mist. I also added a few red pearls here and there for additional decoration.
Finally I just added a stamped sentiment on a banner (the banner is cut from ivory carstock).
On some cards I used a white pen (Signo Uni-ball) for adding highligh instead of the red Glimmer Mist painted parts.
Naturally you could also leave the paper as it is. Just adhere it down to a card base as it is and then add some chipboard elements over it. These can be plain or painted like on my last card. The paper is really lovely also as it is!
Hope you have enjoyed reading thru this post,
wishing you all a happy Holiday Season!!
