Hello and happy Tuesday! I´ve been doing #the100dayproject for over 70 days now and in between the drawn tags I also did a few experiments in my Ranger art journal. Here is one of them – a „one-line“ face:
I drew this one on a page I had pressed some wet Nuvo Embellishment mousse residue onto and then just using my Stabilo all black pencil drew a face never lifting the pencil from the paper.
It turned out very masculine and I really like how the lips and eye areas look like. I didn´t want to add anything else to the page (for now). Maybe later I might add some journaling, stenciling or paint details to it, but I am still just admiring it as it is.
Hello and happy Saturday! We had a gorgeous sunshiny winter day yesterday and I´ve missed the sunshine so much already! This lockdown is hard enough on it´s own and when the weather outside is dull and grey and depressive, it does not help at all. I personally immediately notice a change in my mood, if there is sunshine and I can see the blue sky outside!
Thus, today´s page – „Today I feel good“ :).
I work in the Ranger art journal at the moment (the black one) and there are various pages in that journal. This is a canvas page and I´m loving the feel of this type of a page. I added only a little; various paints on the background, on top a layer of stenciled Tonic Embossing Mousse thru one of my own stencil designs (available at STAMPlorations). Then some „asemic writing“ on top and on top of that all, a fussy cut collage collective book piece from Dina Wakley. Then I just added the word and some rhinestones to highlight the eye/eyebrow.
I love art journaling at the moment. It helps me get thru all my feelings and moods. I have in addition started to work more consequently on my condition and added sports to my routine. It´s now been four weeks in a row that I´ve been able to keep it up. And it makes me feel much better, bit by bit. As you can see, I am trying to live according to my 2021 words: growth, strength and dedication. I´ve set myself goals and want to reach them. At fifty, life inevitably changes and I notice the change and want to find new paths. It´s time. So I work on them, tiny bits every day – change is change, no matter how small!

Hello everyone and happy Friday! Have you played along with the STAMPlorations January Stencil Challenge yet? No? Don´t worry – there is still enough time to join in. So speaking of joining in, the DT girls have prepared another inspiration post for you guys.
Here is my take for it:
The background was created using Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays. I love the effect they create!!! Love, love, love it! And on top I´ve added some stenciled pattern with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse. I used one of my new stencils, called Abstract April Showers. And on top for decor I added one of Tim Holtz paper dolls and a handwritten sentiment, made by my dear friend Lizzy.
This is the reminder post for the January 2021 stencil challenge and if you haven´t joined in with us yet, I sure hope you do. There is still plenty of time to play along with us. Let´s make this a great year project wise and get those PHD´s (projects half done) done and dusted. And if it has stenciling on it, you are good to go and submit it to this challenge :)!
Remember to play by the rules (listed at the end of the challenge post) to be eligible for the prizes!!! And other than that, have fun creating!!! Cannot wait to see what you make! Also, feel free to take advantage of my personal discount code at STAMPLorations:
Hello and happy Tuesday!! Today I´m again stopping by to share another page from my art journal. I´m working in my Ranger art journal at them moment, so I have various type of pages I can play with. Today, it´s a kraft paper page.
I have some stencil prints on the page (see the turquoise Gloss Spray pattern?). It´s done with my new stencil called „Amaranth“ and with Dina Wakley Gloss Spray. I love the look of that simple print in the bold and bright turquoise against the kraft background.
The other patterns are either Dina´s paints or her Scribble Sticks. The tag is covered with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse, Elizabeth Craft Designs washi tape and Dina´s older sentiment stamps (see details on the supply list).
Then there is some asemic writing, done with a white Posca pen. The tree is colored with a black scribble stick. After that I added a layer of Nuvo Crackle Paste on top. I love the look! That is pretty much it. The swirly black thing is done with Dina´s black paint.
That´s all for today! I´m at work again, so for me holidays are over. We are still on the 3rd lockdown here in Austria and it will go on a while still (almost to the end of the month). Still, I am hoping this year will be better to all of us. We sure all do need some good news for a change, right?
Do come back on Thursday to see what I created for my Elizabeth Craft Designs monthly post :). See you then!
Hello and happy Sunday! Today I´m just stopping by to share a burlap art journal page with you. During the first lockdown last spring I regularly watched the Dina Wakley Facebook lives and enjoyed them very much. Back then I created a set of mixed media tags and one of them found a forever home in my art journal recently.
I used various Ranger products for this page. The tag is made with spray inks, bits and bobs from the Collage Collective book by Dina, some Tim Holtz stamps and Dina´s Scribbe Sticks. On the background I have added some white paint from Dina with some Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in blue and a Nuvo Glitter Paste. The hand written word is done by a good scrappy friend (thanks again, Lizzy) .
I haven´t been doing that many burlap pages and I am not that used to it, but adding a strong focal point like this „tag“ makes the page „pop“. And adding some bits and bobs of various media brings the page together. I really enjoy playing in this journal with various types of pages at the moment.
