Hello and happy Friday! Today I am sharing another Daily Art Practice Journal page.
The original almanac page had a face on it, so I drew another wing and the body to it. I used Neocolor II crayons and a black and white Signo uni-ball pen to create the details. The stamping is done with a Dyan Reaveley stamp set onto a piece of old book paper.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend! Take care, xxx, Sanna
Hello and happy Friday! Today I am stopping by to share another page from my Daily Art Journal practice book. Again done with the Artist Almanac 2022 as my starting point. Here is what I did:
I simply desided to continue the townscape in similar style. Obviously it´ s not as good as the original one, but if you don´ t pay too much detail to my “houses”, it kind of feels like you are in the middle of a town square. I used Neocolor II´ s on this page with Stabilo all black.
Also the stamped sentiment is again by Klartext and translates to: “It is nowhere as nice as it is at home”.
Hello lovelies and welcome to another Trifecta Cardmaking share with STAMPlorations products. Today I share a set of cards, done in a bit different designs, but the starting point was always the same basic technique/end product.
This is the first card I made:
and here are some detail photos:
For the second card I again used the same idea: a gelli printed paper I had created with STAMPlorations stencils on old music notes. Here is the second card:
On the first card the bold background covers the whole card base, that way the end result looks totally different. Here the overall look is more clean and simple due to the white space and only a small gelli circle as a focal point. Here are some detail photos:
And now to the 3rd card:
On this one again as my starting point I used a gelli printed and stenciled paper. This time I took a leaf stamp and stamped with it onto the paper and then fussy cut the pieces. That way I have multi-colored and multi-patterned leaves on a plain background and it is still the same basic idea. On all cards I this way again have stencils, stamps and stickers used – but in a different way on each one. The clear stickers make great sentiments for the cards. And now to the steps. This time round I recorded a step-by-step video for you to watch so you can get a better idea. Hope you like it!
I hope you enjoyed this months Trifecta cards and ideas! If you want to know how to do the stenciled papers, there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube (or check out Birgit Koopsen´ s Instagram Account – there are plenty of ideas up there!). I also made a similar technique with foam stamps and paints, but you could use stencils instead. That video is HERE. Oh, and here are some detail photos of the last card:
See you again in March with another Trifecta tutorial. STAMPlorations is taking a break in February from regular posts.
Hello and happy Wednesday! Today I´m again stopping by to share my next faces drawn on tags for my personal #100daysoffaces 2021 challenge. If you want to see them go live every day, then you should follow my Instagram account for the daily posts. I´ll share them here on my blog in groups with links to the videos.
This tag is die cut from white carstock with a STAMPlorations tag die and I´ve added a hue of indian ink as a stripe on it. After that I just drew the face with Posca´s very quickly and added some shading.
For this tag I´ve again used white cardstock, then die cut it with a STAMPlorations tag die (see product list at the end of this post) and applied green and yellow spray ink onto it. The faces are again drawn and coloured with Posca pens.
This tag is die cut from a woodgrain paper and then covered partly with white gesso. On top of that I´ve sketched a face with a pencil and added shadows with a black Posca.
For this tag I´ve firs played with my gel plate from Gelli Arts with acrylic paints and my stencils. Next I´ve drawn a face with Neocolor 2 pens. The splatters were added with a water tank brush in the end.
This is a grey cardstock paper, die cut with a STAMPlorations tag die. Then painted partly with black paint and after that drawn and coloured using Neocolor 2´s again.
As always, go and see the short videos for each tag on my YouTube channel. You´ll find the link to a particular tag always immediately under the photo. Hope you enjoy them!
Hello and happy Thursday! Today I´m stopping by to share a face from my art journal page with you guys. In the meantime I find it easy to draw tag sized faces, but a much bigger challenge for me is going bigger (like art journal page size).
I don´t get the proportions the way I want them to be. But anyhow, here is a face experiment with some stamped pattern on the background that I did using a DIY foam stamp (for details, see this video).
Rest ist done using my absolute current favorites – Neocolor 2 crayons by Caran d´Ache. I like the consistency of them so much. They are soft enough and can be used with water and a water tank brush and that is something I enjoy doing at the moment.
Also, could not resist to add a quote. She might not be a beauty, but there is light in her heart ;-). Just yesterday I talked to a colleague at work about drawing faces and my hobby in general and how it helps me relax and reload. Some people run to loose the stress, I reload my batteries thru my hobby.
