#tuac5minchallenge – Day 27

Hello and happy Friday! TGIF!!!!! It´s been a tough week and I am more than happy to enjoy some weekend relaxation time now. The sun has made a reappearance (yay!) and I´m going to enjoy it as long as it lasts. But before that, here is my #tuac5minchallenge Day 27 take:

I took a piece of old book page that had Gloss Sprays on it and added some Distress Crayon and Posca marks on top. Then a alcohol inked mirror cardstock die cut piece, an old button and random receipt bits for addition. And for finishing touches some more Gloss Spray.

It´s ugly and messy and everything in between – my piece of Day 27, but I really like it alot. Only 3 more days to go for me (let´s see if I still continue after that). I might do a every-second/every-third day thing… let´s see. OR I´ll just do the 5 minutes and take a pic, but leave the video out. Still figuring that out.

Alcohol lift-ink cards

Hello, and happy Tuesday! Today I´m stopping by to share two cards I created using Tim Holtz Alcohol Lift-Ink with Finnabair stamps. I used silver mirror cardstock with the alcohol inks. That created a certain difficulty in taking a picture of the finished cards. Being a mirror cardstock and silver I had to try really hard to get a picture, where you can see the effect properly.

As I have been watcing Tim´s Facebook lives I´ve been inspired to dig into my older stash and play with alcohol inks abit. I didn´t have any white glossy cardstock at hand, but I had plenty of silver mirror cardstock. I figured it would to the trick too – and it did!

So I first applied the alcohol inks onto the cardstock and let them do their magic. When the surface was really dry, I took the alcohol lift-ink pad and stamped Finnabairs butterfly stamp images onto the surface. Now this is my very first time testing this technique and I didn´t know if it would work out. But it did. I wanted to create clean and simple cards with the resulted paper and these are the ones I ended up with. Really like them lots. For decor I only added STAMPlorations clear stickers. Works really well on the mirror cardstock too.

The die cut dies I used are by Tonic Studios, just in case you were wondering.. I always try to list all products at the end of the post, and if they are not available anymore, try to find suitable alternatives.

Christmas card

Hello everyone and happy Friday! Today I´m stopping by to share a few Christmas cards with you. Here is one of them:

This is a card created using the Village Edge die cut die by Elizabeth Craft Designs, combined with the Fitted Rounded Rectangle die cut die. I wanted to try a shaker card of this type, creating a big shaker “window” and then adding a village scenery on top. This was a fun thing to do, but for my next card I´ll create a little bigger outline for easier arrangement.

My second card is also created using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Owl die cut die as well as the Fitted Rounded Rectangle dies. The dotted paper on the background is also from the same company as is the sentiment die cut die. For coloring the owl, I used Distress Oxides. The sentiment is die cut from a silver mirror cardstock.

And for my last set of Christmas cards I´ve used premade dry embossed papers which I have inked with Distress Inks and for the sentiment I´ve used a die cut die by Elizabeth Craft Designs and the tree die cut die is by STAMPlorations. The glitter paper and the embellishments are by Tonic Studios – their glitter cardstock and Nuvo Drops as well as Confetti.

This year I am hopefully going to make my Xmas card deadline and get them also mailed in time :). Looking good so far!
