Alles Liebe card – Tonic Studios

Hello lovelies and happy Monday! Today I´m sharing a card that is actually full of pink tones. I was playing with some of the Tonic Studios new edge dies and this card was a result of that play.

I know, it practically jumps at you, it is soo pink. But hey, sometimes it´s ok to go totally crazy while crafting, right? For this one I again used the Rainbow Rose Edge die cut die byTonic Studios. I really like this die alot!

Underneath the pink die cut edge pieces there is a Tonic German Sentiment that I cut in two parts to be able to hide it behind the ribbon bow. I´ve also added some rose stamping around the lower and upper edge of the card. This stamp is in the Magnificent Magnolia clear stamp set, also by Tonic Studios. I then colored the roses with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and a Nuvo water tank brush. The roses are so very pink they really make this card so corny ;-)… but I don´t mind. Finally on this last photo you can see the inside of the card, when the Rainbow Rose edges are open. I´ve used spray inks on the background to create a two-toned background look – a golden and a pink tone.

That´s it from me today, I hope you survived this pink explosion post :-).
Happy crafting,
Sanna

Clean and simple card – Tonic Studios

Hello everyone and welcome to another card idea post today. I have been creating cards with the Magnificent Magnolia stamps and matching dies and I just love using them! So bare with me for just one more card :).

Yes, you are seeing right – this is in fact a Mother´s Day card (= zum Muttertag means For Mother´s Day). And yes I know it´s way too early for this kind of theme, but I just could not resist. I used up a piece of stenciled, die cut paper (the blue one, residue from one of these cards) and placed it as a centerpiece to the card. It is outlined by a scalloped oval Pearl Ripple cardstock die cut piece.

For decoration, I again added some Nuvo Glitter Drops around the oval piece. Two of the colored flowers decorate the card and another German Tonic Sentiment (available at QVC) finishes the card off. If you are interested on how I did the flowers, go back to this post to take a look.

That´s it for today – be sure to come back soon for more projects.
Happy crafting,
Sanna

Christmas card Wednesday, No. 5 – Tonic Studios

Hello everybody and welcome to another Christmas Card Wednesday. Today I have again prepared a Christmas card for you:

For this card I used plenty of Tonic Studios product again. I´ve added a colored Magnificent Magnolia stamp image (die cut with the matching die set) as a focal point to the card. I also die cut a „Alles Gute Layering Die Set“ piece from white cardstock and fussy cut it into a half, leaving all pieces on place for additional fun detail. Then I took some Citrus Green Embellishment Mousse and colored some of the negative areas with a water tank brush and the mousse. This adds a nice additional shine to the card.

The card is matted with blue embossed paper from the Tonic Craft Kit #06 and a red washi tape adds to the colour combination on the left side of the card. Finally I finished the card off with Black Velvet carstock die cut German sentiment. These are available at the QVC channel.

This was this weeks Christmas card idea. I hope you enjoyed it! See you again next week with more ideas (there might be a set of cards coming up then..).

Have a great crafty week,

Misted present tags – Tonic Studios

Hello everyone and happy Monday! I´m again sharing something totally off season today. Don´t ask me why, maybe it´s the warm temperatures that keep me creating non-holiday projects, who knows.

Today I´ve prepared a set of present tags for your inspiration. This was my starting point:

I die cut a set of stitched tags from white cardstock and gave them a very gentle, slight misting with Nuvo Mica Mists. That is all I did for background decoration.Next I added some of the Magnificent Magnolia flowers I´d created earlier this month. See here for the details on how to make such flowers.

After adhering the flowers on place I took golden mirror cardstock and die cut some of the German Tonic sentiments for the cards. On one card there is a white cardstock sentiment – for that particular one I used the Pearl Ripple cardstock and also die cut the tag underneath from the same paper.

For additional sparckle I adhered various types of shiny elements from Nuvo (circles, sequins, stars) with Nuvo Glaze onto the background very randomly.   If you are interested in getting those German sentiments from Tonic, they are sold over at the QVC channel. I really adore the „Für Mama“ (for Mum) one alot! There is also one that says for Dad in the set they sell at QVC. I really enjoyed creating these tags – they are very fast and easy to make, but still add a lot detail to a present. I hope you´ve enjoyed today´s ideas and if you want to see something more season related, do come back on Wednesday, when I´ll again be sharing a Christmas card project here on my blog.

Happy crafting,

Stenciled Nuvo Mousse cards – Tonic Studios

Hello everyone! Today I would like to share a set of cards with you which I created using Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and a stencil (among other things).

For the first card I used both Indian Gold and Citrus Green Embellishment Mousse which I applied thru a stencil with a palette knife directly onto the card base. I used two tones on this card, but they blend together so well that you need to look really hard to tell where the one color ends and the other one starts.

I decorated this card again with the Magnificent Magnolia stamp and die set (colored with Nuvo Watercolour Pencils – see this post for more details on how I did the flowers. I also added a scalloped circle piece for additional interest and finished the card with a die cut sentiment, cut from black velvet Craft Perfect carstock (it says: „for you“). The sentiments are Tonic´s German sentiments and available over QVC. The black splatters are done with one of my favorite Tattered Angels products of all times – the Java Glimmer Glaze.

For the second card I did the background the exact same way, only applying the paste to a bigger area. Then i added a die cut frame (cut from Pearl Ripple Craft Perfect cardstock) to accompany the flower. The same black cardstock was used to die cut this particular sentiment (it say: „from the heart“).

I again added some Java Glimmer Glaze droplets for decor and also some Harvest Moon Glitter Drops can be found here and there.

I really like how these colors work together so very well and I find the black color works so well as contrast here.

I hope you enjoyed today´s ideas and hope to see you soon again!
