Love Yourself First AJ page

Hello and happy Tuesday! today I´m sharing another art journal page from my recent journal with you. Lots of things have been happening in my life recently that have trown me out of the regular course of life and my go-to outlet on such times is my journal.

This is one of the results of those journaling sessions:

I love this page! So much!!! It´s something that started off a a gelli plate magazine transfer (underneath all those layers) and then turned into totally something else. I was experimenting with green paint, my gelli plate and a magazine.

In the beginning I kinda liked the result, but then I didn´t know what to do with it. It didn´t speak to me at all. So I started adding stenciling, paints, stamping and all kinds of stuff and then it suddenly turned out into this :). I added a spray inked magazine heart onto the page and then wanted it to have this dripping/bleeding look.

I added layers and layers of Liquitex Ink! in silver, gold and white and then created the „faux stitching“ with Posca pens and added the phrase into the middle of the heart – again using Posca pens. And I love the result!!!

This journey of preparing for another knee surgery has been rough on me. To know what´s ahead is taking it´s toll on me and I am trying so hard to find the positive things in all this, to grow stronger than my fears, to find my peace with the situation. And my art journal is a huge help at the moment!

When do you journal? I´d love to hear from you when you go to your journal – is it when you are feeling good or is it, when something is bothering you? I mainly do the latter, but also when I have a life-changing realisation of positive kind, I tend to document it in my journal in one way or another. But my sorrows usually end up in journals in some way.

That´s it for today, be sure to come over tomorrow when I will be sharing my first The Wild Hare Kits February project here on my blog (with a video). See you then!

Happy journaling!

Art journal page

Hello and happy Sunday! Today I´m up over at the blog with a quick art journal page share. I´ve created a page with the gelli plate using a magazine image transfer technique.

This is what I created:

I really like how this page turned out and I love pulling these magazine transfer images with my gelli plate. It´s very relaxing, but also very addictive. What I´ve done here is I´ve first added some stenciling and paints and residue colors onto the background, then adhered the tissue paper image onto the page and after that added some stamping as well as the title, fussy cut from a magazine and then added some leftover alpha stickers here and there. Simple, but fun! I love the face – can´t get enough of these!

That´s it for today – see you soon!

Art journal page

Hi there everyone and happy Tuesday! Today I´m stopping by to share an art journal page with you. Just some random play I had in my art journal the other day. Recently I am really enjoying this type of play time alot.

Here is what I created:

I wanted to use the misted masking tapes on this page, so I added them on top of everything else and added the journaling onto them. Apart from that I´ve first covered the page with a piece of tissue paper magazine transfer in green, then layered fussy cut magazine parts (leaves) on top, added some stamping.

Stamps by Viva Las Vega Stamps and details with Posca pens. Just a page that was a result of a quick playtime. It feels so good to create these pages into my art journal lately. Just putting down bits and pieces and not giving it all too much thought. And yet every page that comes out in the process, kind of represents something that has been going thru my mind recently. Have you tried this type of art journaling recently?

Go see do Art Journal Page

Hi there and happy Wednesday!!! Today I´m again dropping by my blog to share another art journal page with you all. This time the theme is about travelling. I have a huge bucket list to work thru and I love to go to new places which I sadly cannot do this year due to my surgery, but soon, soon hopefully travel plans can be added to my calendar :).

Thus the travel themed page today:

I´ve added lots of bits and bobs to this page. There is some paint on the background, then I added some gelli plate transfer tissue pieces (see the lady´s face in the middle?). That piece is one of those.

I fussy cut and added a world map in pieces onto the page, then did some stamping, journaling and adhered random fussy cut pieces here and there.

I had a great time creating this page and dreaming about future travels :). Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Happy crafting,
