XOXO Card – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello lovelies! I´m quickly dropping by today to share a card with you. This one is again created with Elizabeth Craft Designs die cut dies and I´ve used quite a few Tattered Angels spray inks on this one too.

I started by taking a pink polka dotted paper and die cutting the Stitched Fishtail banner with that. Then I took a plain white cardstock and used the Stitched Hearts die cut die to cut three hearts from it. I misted the hearts with various tones of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and let the pieces dry. The die cut background piece is also misted with yellow Glimmer Mist. I then simply adhered a piece of pink polka dotted patterned paper behind the yellow misted piece, adhered those together, then adhered the misted hearts with 3D foam on top and finally added the banner and the „xoxo“ die cut word on top.

I then decorated the misted hearts with glitter glue & the background with some texture spray droplets and wood veneer pieces. Finally, I added faux stitching  around the edges with a black pen. That´s all there is to this card. Very fast and easy to do.

Hope you have a lovely day!
Let´s stay creative,
xxx, Sanna

Love life – final MMCC February inspiration

Hello there! I´ve got one more LOVE themed card to share with you this month :). This is also made for and based on the Mixed Media Card Challenge blog´s February challenge theme! And that is LOVE and buttons :). Here is the direct link:

and here is my final take on the challenge:

I again used a The Crafter´s Workshop stencil to create the netting pattern with embossing paste. Next I applied some pink spray ink with a paint brush over the pasted area. After the surface was dry, I applied some black ink splodges, some yarn and a piece of silver netting ribbon as well as a resin flower. This time I interpreted the theme a bit different, instead of writing just „love“, I wrote „love life“.

Sure has been a fun month creating all the „LOVEly“ cards :). I sure hope you have had time to join us!! If not, there is still just a little bit time left to do that :-D! See you there!

Love – more February MMCC inspiration

Hello there lovelies! I have been very busy creating love themed cards this month. So here comes another one I made based on Mixed Media Card Challenge blog´s February theme. Remember, it is all about love and buttons, right? Love is the main theme and buttons an optional element.

and here is my 4th card for this challenge:

I first used a dry embossing folder to create the background pattern for this card, then inked over it with orange and pink Distress Ink and highlighted the edges with some more pink. After that I cut a heart shape out of a piece of leftover paper, covered it with Glossy Accents and spinkled some Mica Fragments over it. Next I placed the gold-white-striped heart over it, added the ribbon bow and some rhinestones. Finally I also stamped some hashtag words here and there. I am quite addicted to these hashtag stamps by Tim Holtz ;-).

So, if you haven´t joined in yet, now´s the time!! This is an easy and fun challenge to play along with – hope to see you at MMCC,

xxx, Sanna

You are loved

Hello there! Ready for some more Mixed Media Card Challenge inspiration for this month? The challenge is all about L-O-V-E this month and as an additional element you are asked to use BUTTONS (now, we all have those in our stash, don´t we?). Can´t wait to see what you create!!!

And here are two cards I created based on this months theme:

For the first card I just stamped a heart background stamp pattern with blue ink, then wiped some pink ink over it. Next I added some gold and black ink splodges, stamped a sentiment and added a blue feather. The feather has some glitter glue details on it. As additional decoration I added some rhinestone swirls. The sentiment in German says: You are loved.

On this card I used a piece of an old bookpage as background, added some blue spray ink with a paint brush onto the background, then punched some butterflies from white cardstock and stamped a hashtag word on each butterfly. After that I just glued everything down and added the rhinestones.

Now it´s your turn – there is still plenty of time to join in!!
See you at MMCC,

February Mixed Media Card Challenge #8 – Love

Hi there! New month, new challenges! Today it is again time to reveal the next Mixed Media Card Challenge and without further ado, here it is:

1. Create a mixed media CARD based on the theme, with or without the optional element.
2. Display the challenge graphic on your blog post and link back to this challenge post.
3. You may enter as many times as you want, as long as each entry is different.
4. You may combine a maximum of 7 challenges (6 other challenges plus ours).
5. Submit your projects by February 25, 11:55 p.m. PST (GMT -8).
6. We’ll announce the winner and highlights on February 28.

This is my interpretation to the theme:

I used a The Crafter´s Workshop stencil on the background and applied some embossing paste thru the stencil onto the card surface. After that I sprayed the surface with spray ink (peachy orange), then added the ribbon and created a sequin heart. Next I stamped some hashtag words to match the theme. There are also some ink and wax crayon splodges here and there on the background.

And hop over to the MMCC blog to see the gorgeous designs, my teamcolleagues created!!! I hope this LOVEly theme will get your creative juices flowing!! Hope to see you at MMCC!!
