February project wrap-up and March unboxing fail – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello lovelies, it is again time for my February The Wild Hare Kits Petite Kit project wrap-up video. This time I am also sharing some background info, on why there will not be a March kit unboxing video from my part tomorrow.

Because of reasons Alison nor I can change, I will not be able to post an unboxing video this month. See, my kit got shipped in time, but something happened on the way here and insted of being shipped to Austria, the kit got shipped to Australia..

So until it arrives from there to me, it will take a few (or more) weeks. I will probably not be able to receive my kit in time for March. But as soon as it arrives, I will make sure to share it with you :). Just not right now. And for scrapping in March, there will also have to be a plan B. So I´ll be scrapping with what is left of my February kit and will be pulling product from my previous leftover kits to that and then creating with those. So sorry for that, but there is nothing we can do to change this at the moment.

And finally, I hope my bad luck regarding shipping is finally over. In fact, I feel it is. Just this once and then it will be all good again :). And as for crafting, I will need to take a little pause from crafting anyhow as I am about to go into surgery to fix my knee (had an accident in January). So wish me luck for that and we´ll be hearing each other very soon!

Happy scrapping,

We will start sharing and spreading The Wild Hare Kits loveliness from beginning of August 2019 for one year. I could not be more excited!!!

Now, if you are asking what The Wild Hare Kits is all about? They are a kit club for papercrafters, scrapbookers, cardmakers, TN lovers, happy mails addicts and so much more! The kits are based on a style profile you create on their website for yourself/about your likes and dislikes and based on your style profile and/or your wishes you receive either a petite or a deluxe HAND CURATED kit. So, like for example, if you want to scrap your vacation photos from your last trip, you can ask for travel related/themed products, you can say what colors you´d prefer, what embellishments you like and don´t like etc. So it´s a personalized kit according to your wishes that you will receive! Awesome, right? And the best parts, you can order the kits in your own pace – like bi-monthly or however fast you are done with your kit and need a next one :). I love this concept!!

So keep an eye on this space and my other social media sites for infos, sneaks, unboxing videos, project tutorials and alls kinds of fun starting from beginning of August!! I am sooo excited about this awesome journey ahead of me!! Hope to see you around.

And now I know you are interested in taking a better look at The Wild Hare Kits site – start here :).

See you around,

Two layouts with The Wild Hare Kits hand-curated kit

Hi there everyone, I have been scrapping a storm with my Wild Hare Kits January guest design team kit and still have a few projects to share with you. So today, to still fit the projects in to the month of January, I´ll start by sharing two layout projects with you. And tomorrow I´ll share the rest then :).

Let´s start with the first layout:

For this laoyut I used a simple layering idea. I just cutthe papers into strips and arranged them slightly overlappingly on top of each other. I added some cut details/fringe to some of the strips simply for a fun detail. And I also fussy cut some vespas from the patterned paper that was on the kit as well as added some of the fussy cut sentiment boards from the “I am Mom” paper next to the photos. Also the black floss that came with my kit, ended up on this layout. I randomly let it form circles and curls on the paper and then just adhered the photos next to the floss. For decoration, I added some flair (partly from the kit and partly my own older stash) and some word stickers as well as the bold “Cherish” sentiment as the layout title.

I love these photos! They were taken after a day at the Beach Park in Fortaleza. You know, THE park with the really scary water slides. Yes, that one :). And I did try one of those scary monsters myself…

These photos were taken after our day at the park and you can see it in our faces, that we really had a great time there!!!! And can you imagine, it was WINTER when we visited! For me, coming from the northern hemisphere, that was something really amazing. Walking barefoot on the warm sand and dipping my toes into the warm sea. Aaahhh…good memories!!!

And now to the second layout:

On this page I´ve concentrated on the food we ate at our Brasilian vacation. It was so different to what we have here at home. Alone the fruits were so amazing!!! I also tried fried ants and we ate fish from the Amazon river and many more delicious foods. I had a cutfile in my Silhouette Studio that had just been waiting for a layout like this – “Eat well and Travel More”. Those might have been two separate files, actually, but I combined them for this page.

I continued with the stenciled background idea on this page, like I did on my minibook project previously, and also layered the beautiful papers slightly overlappingly again. I love the colors in my kit and the fact that they work so well with our travel destination!!! So I wanted to highlight the bright colors and let the papers create the focal point of my layout here. I´ve listed all the top foods we tried during our vacation on the little journaling card sticker (from my own stash). The vacation was in July and I already had to look up some details from the internet! Funny how fast we forget details!!! So you see how important it is to note such details down on paper. You think you remember, but you don´t…

I have enjoyed playing with my GDT kit so very much! I like the concept of the kits, where you can order one when you feel like it, giving your curator instrucktions on what kind of projects you plan to make next, what type of product you like and don´t! My kit turned out perfect for these vacation photos and it has been a pleasure scrapping with it! I had been somewhat mia on scrapbooking last year but after working with this kit the spark is there again. I definitely want to do more scrapbooking this year! So be prepared to see more layouts coming up on my blog in the future. Ahhh..I´ve missed this!

Happy scrapping,

“39” – Off the Rails Scrapbooking

Hello there lovelies! Today I´d like to share with you a layout that I created based on a scrapbook kit (see picture). This is my first Off the Rails inspirational post for September :).

My inspiration for creating this layout started from the rub-ons that came with the kit. I love to use rub-ons, always have and always will. I really cannot say what it is with rub-ons, but I just find that they are the perfect embellishment as you can use them as little details or even a whole sheet at once and in many ways.

Picture 1 of Fortune Teller(picture and kit by Studio Calico)

Since these rub-ons happened to have numbers on them, they perfectly matched my photo which is one of my DH on his 39th birthday.

I have a confession to make, I am a kit subscriber since a couple of years, but I hardly ever use my kits as they are. I usually take one piece from one kit and combine that with another piece from another kit. I often even organize the goodies from the kits into my stash right away and then use them later in totally random order. But this time I wanted to use the kit as it is. Someone has gone thru a lot of trouble designing and planning these kits, so I thought I´d give it a try and use this particular kit as it is for this layout. Like I said, it all originally started from the rub-ons :).

After figuring out where to place the photo, I then added the rub-ons and went along from there. I must admit, it was really easy to just grab the goodies that were in the kit and combine them onto this page, because they perfectly matched each other. The only thing I added to the kit goodies were the big black title numbers. Everything else is from the kit. Oh, sorry, the misting is from my stash too.. :). I added that as an additional detail after finishing the rest :).

Here are some detail photos:

Are you a kit subscriber? How do you use them or do you just love to hoard them? I hope this post has inspired you to take a good look at your kit stash and dig into it, to use it!! That is what it is there for, isn´t it – to get scrapped :). Don´t hoard your stuff, use it – a good motto for today :). Have fun!!

xoxo, Sanna
