Thank you cards

Hi there everyone and happy Thursday! Today I´m just quickly dropping by to share a few hybrid cards I created. These are done using new digi files and patterned papers from my older stash.

Since the digi designs (Studio Tekturek) were very bold on their own, I didn´t want to add to much additional detail to the cards. So I just took a die cut die and cut the digi files into a right size. then I added some glitter drop and crystal glaze details onto them.

For this card I used a Tonic Studios rectangle die to cut the sentiment piece. Then added some crystal glaze (Nuvo) and a golden ribbon. Also a small clear sticker sentiment decorates the card additionally.

On my second card I pretty much did the same steps, except I also added that grey area onto the card. You are probably wondering what that is? Well, it´s a rub-off area, when you rub the grey layer with a coin, a sentiment will be revealed :). KInda fun, eh?

Here is a detail of what is hidden underneath:

So I basically just added the “never give up” clear sticker sentiment onto the card, then placed the scratch off layer on top. Now the recipient has a fun interactive card!

Wishing you a fabulous day! Hope you are all doing ok? It´s day 25 for me here in Austria and yesterday I felt like I´d hit rock bottom on social distancing. Nothing felt right and I had no energy and felt absolutely demotivated on doing ANYTHING. So I went to bed early and today has been much better. Wishing you all a lovely Easter weekend. Let´s try and make the best of it!

My favorites from 2015

Hello there and Happy New Year! I hope you had a lovely New Year´s Eve? I did. We spent it with friends and went to bed way too late. But we had a really good time eating stuffed bread and a corn chowder soup, talking and laughing until way past midnight.

Bildschirmfoto 2016-01-02 um 10.29.09I had been looking back at my work from 2015 and I noticed that I “only” created around 40 layouts last year. That might be because I had a somewhat turbulent year jobwise. I first very suddenly lost my job which kinda threw me out of concept. Then I found a new job which in the beginning took a lot of energy and I just did not feel like creating layouts at that time. However, the ones I created, were lots of fun. I do love this hobby of mine. So here are the ones that I like the most:

SAnna LippertI´ve discovered the joys of hybrid scrapbooking last year. It has been a fun learning process, since I have no digital scrapbooking experience whatsoever. My layouts are very colorful in general. I just cannot go past color. I adore people who create dreamy, pastellic, or CAS and white dominated pages. They are so soft, tender and light. Sometimes I try those myself, but somehow cannot pull that style together. I would love to, but it apparently is not me. I might give those styles a try again next year. Who knows, maybe I can pull it off? If you are interested in seeing all my past years layouts, just follow this link.

Sanna LIppertLet´s move on to my fave cards from 2015. For some reason I created a huge amount of cards during the past year. I think it was more than 100 pieces in all. And I had a blast creating cards!!! I did simple, mixed media, layered, misted, colored. I used all kinds of media. These are the ones I like the most. There is texture, layers and color on every single one of them. If you want to see them all, follow this link.

IMG_1950Then there were a few other projects I created. Some tags, ATC´s, art journal pages, off the page projects. And I sneaked two more cards in, because I like them alot. I took part in an Art Journal page swap too. I really liked the idea and hope to do such/similar swaps this year too. Also I find joy in creating tags and ATC´s. Off the page projects are also very much fun to create. I am already very much looking forward to creating such artwork in 2016. And here again, it is color that rules my world work. If you are interested in taking a look at my other work, check out these albums.

I am very much looking forward to being creative in 2016. I have new energy, I feel the urge to create again. Last year I reduced my design team obligations, because I felt that I could not do as much as I had used to in 2014. I don´t want to just hang in there half hearted. This year I feel I can do more again. I enjoy the teams I am in very much. There is a new team I joined in January and I am very much looking forward to sharing my take on their products with you. I´ve joined Elizabeth Craft Designs design team and will share my first artworks in a few weeks time with you.

There are still a few more topics I would like to share with you, but I think I have taken enough of your time already. So that will have to wait until the next blog post. Have a creative, amazing, inspiring and successfull 2016!!

I cannot wait to get started!!!

Last set of Xmas cards – The Nifty Pixel

Hi there and happy last day of 2015 :-). Well, at least at his side of the world.. I´ve still got a set of Christmas cards to share with you – this time in hybrid. I used the lovely Berry & Fawn digi kit designed by The Nifty Pixel to create these cards.

berryandfawnTNPThis is what I created:

Sanna Lippert Sanna Lippert Sanna Lippert Sanna Lippert Sanna Lippert Sanna Lippert These cards were all created using the digi kit and then printed into a hybrid paper. After printing and cutting into size I added little bits and pieces for additional detail. Very easy and FAST to do and still lots to look at on every single card. I will make sure to share some insights on how I created these, but that will have to be some time next year. Sorry, just could not resist using that phrase. There are no more Christmas themed projects to share anymore – only the two tutorials will be coming up in a few weeks time. For now all I want to do is to

WISH YOU ALL A LOVELY, HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE and all the best for 2016. May the new year be good to you all <3 ! Thanks for stopping by,

Spooky! – The Nifty Pixel

Happy Friday!!! I am so much looking forward to this weekend and hoping that I can squeeze in lots of creative free time in my studio. My hands are itching for some creative time!!!

I have not been creating that much the past months – I mean, I never quit creating, but daily life just got in between and I didn´t have the energy to create as much as I used to. Slowly, but surely I again feel the need to create more. And it feels good!

So without further ado, here is an overload of spooky,  hybrid cards!! Created with the lovely Halloween digi kit by The Nifty Pixel called Cadaverous Charm.

Be warned, some of the cards are, well, kinda different… Here goes:

I´ve used only one A3 sized piece of background paper (the star paper from the kit) on the background of almost every single card. Everything else is pretty much from the Elements Pack. I´ve just again printed those images onto a piece of A3 sized paper with my Epson color printer and fussy cut them. Some Glimmer Glaze, glitter glue, stencils & paste and white pen to go with it and these cards were ready in just no time!

And something I came up with while working on these cards – now this might not be anything that special for you, but I just never thought of the possibilities before… I printed the patterned papers from the kit into A3 size (that means FULL A3 paper size of patterned paper!!!). Now that opens up totally new possibilities. Why print only the regular scrapbooking paper size on the A3 sized sheet when it´s much more clever to use the whole sheet surface for printing. That way I can create a layout from the sheet and have enough “leftovers” for cards and other stuff too!!! See here:

…and after realizing the obvious, I was like: “Why on earth didn´t I think of this in the first place!!!” 🙂 🙂 🙂

Happy hybrid times, lovelies!!!
