#tuac5minchallenge – DAY 7

Hello and happy Saturnday! It´s been a day, let me tell you! Lots of working in the garden (we have a little construction going on there). I wish we can finish the project before winter comes. So my 5 min take on DAY 7 for the Ugly Art Club challenge is very simple.

It´s just some pearlescent watercolor on the background in silver and grey and a piece of tissue that was already on my table from a happy mail I received recently. I added some old rub-ons, some twine and a Heidi Swapp star on top. Plus a fussy cut sentiment from a magazine.

I like how it turned out, but I am missing droplets on this one. White ones! I just didn´t have any time for those in the end. Might add them later :). I hope you enjoy these 5 min videos I´ve been recording and give you some inspiration too. I am very much enjoying this challenge and always excited to see what other people make! Happy crafting,

Happy Birthday!, Vol. 4.0

Hello and happy Firday! I´m stopping by to share a very simple card, created with a very, very old flower as a focal point. Do you remember these big Heidi Swapp flowers? They are fabric and I have been hoarding the last three ones for YEARS!

Why, you ask? Well, I honestly don´t know. I have been waiting to put them into a perfect project to showcase them, but then I figured, that might never happen. So I just used one here. What better way to create an impactfull card, than to add a huge flower as a focal point.

Works well for a birthday theme and looks great on the black and white paper on the background. The paper is from my time at The Wild Hare Kits design team and I am using the leftover bits and bobs on cards, because I have some lovely residue papers from them and they make for great card backgrounds. What do you do with your residues and how big has a piece have to be until you toss it? Back in the day I used to save EVERYTHING! Now, well, if it´s smaller than 3×2 inch, it can go :).

I hope you have a gorgeous weekend! We have our 23rd wedding anniversary this weekend – titanium ;-). And now I have the song playing in my head as an „earworm“. Oh well… :). Have a great one!

We Love To Travel – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone and welcome to another The Wild Hare Kits August kit project share here on my blog. For today´s project I´ve created a clean and simple scrapbook layout using The Color Fresh and Flower Market collections from my August Deluxe Kit.

Here is what I created:

For this laoyut I´ve used a piece of white cardstock as my layout background and then build everything else on top of it. I cut the Color Fresh „Counting on You“ paper into strips with scissors and used my sewing machine to sew all the stips onto the white cardstock.

I love, love, love this paper so very much! That is also why I didn´t want to add too many details on top of it, so I went for a clean grid look. I used 4 color photos and arranged them very randomly onto the page. Then I fussy cut the Flower Market „Squares“ paper into 2×2 inch squares and arranged a selection of those around the photos, creating a grid look.

After I was happy with the placement, I adhered every single piece onto the background with paper glue and chose various older alphas from my stash to create a multi-colored title. I didn´t have any alphas in my kit this time, so I have been adding ones from my stash that I find would fit the kits color scheme. For finishing touches I added a date stamp into one of the squares and also wrote some journaling onto another. I also managed to add a few Bramble Fox stars here and there (I adore them and keep on adding them to each layout I make :-D!).

I´ve also recorded a short video while I was creating – hope you like it!

I hope you enjoy today´s post and get inspired to scrap a little yourself! Also, if you are looking for a hand-curated kit that fulfills all your dreams, HERE is the link you need to check out!

I still have a few papers left from my kit, so be sure to check back here to see what I created with those :)!

Happy scrapping,

Card set – clean & simple

So these cards started off as a challenge under friends. Some Skyping was involved, as well as lots of good laughs and lovely chatting! And a card recipe of course! We were to use (I hope I get this right): black and/or white, plus one extra color (and/or shades of that color), enamel dots, shapes, stamp. Here is what I did:

Sanna LippertNow I still have several Studio Calico kits from previous years which urgently need to get scrapped/used, so I dug through them and found all these lovely bits and pieces. Only the felt bow is by Bella Blvd and quite new, everything else is from kits I used to order „back then“. Oh, and the black paper is by SODALICIUOS. Sanna Lippert

The 3 cards with pink, yellow and blue color I did according to the recipe (we were only to do one, but I could not stop there). And the last one is mainly in black and white – this one I kept for later, all the others are in the mail, or were delivered personally to my scrappy friends :-). Sanna LippertAnd what did I notice, I quite enjoyed creating after a recipe for a change. Someone else giving orders and making plans and me just following those. So much fun! And another surprise – I really, really like my clean & simple style cards!!! Quite much actually. I hope that the recipients will like them too.

The best part? The chatting and giggling with like minded people! Always the best bit!! Have missed that recently. It has been too long since the last time. And again I have to say that this hobby would be only half as fun without all the friends I´ve gotten through it!

Happy crafting, lovelies!!!

This smile – OTR May challenge

Hi there! Time to share the first May challenge at „Off the Rails Scrapbooking„. This round you will need to combine „Stripes and polka dots“ to be in. This is my take on the challenge:

and here are some detail shots – I´ve used pastellic tones for this page again. Can´t seem to get enough of those at the moment :).

I used a frame stamp by SODAlicious and doodled some hearts inside the frames. The papers are by My Mind´s Eye and Basic Grey, spray ink by Lindy´s Stamp Gang and Tattered Angels. Embellishments, and washi are by Freckled Fawn, MME and SODAlicious :).

The lovely Rachael Funnell is sponsoring the prize this time, so if you would like to go and leave her some love for her generosity, here is the link to follow. Hope to see you at Off the Rails, lovelies!!!

xoxo, Sanna
