Noel tag – Tonic Studios

Helllo and happy Friday! Christmas eve is just around the corner and today I am sharing my last Christmas themed tag for this year with you:

For this tag I again used the Magnificent Magnolia stamp set to create the background for my tag. I simply took the leaf pattern stamp from the set and repeatedly stamped the image with embossing ink onto the background. Next I poured some golden embossing powder over the stamped areas and heat set the powder with a heat gun.

After that I inked the white tag with Bundled Sage Distress ink and added a frame sticker as a focal point. I decorated the frame with Harvest Moon Glitter Accents and adhere the bird sticker into the middle using a 3D foam underneath it. This way it is more dimensional. I then added Nuvo Glaze drops onto the wings and poured some Ice White Pure Sheen Nuvo Glitter onto the glazed areas. I let that dry properly and then wiped any loose glitter off and added some Harvest Moon glitter details there too. For finishing touches I added a word Noel, created with stickers from Basic Grey and bound a matching ribbon to the tag. I really like the combination of the stamped image with the bundled sage colour on the background. It makes it very elegant and festive looking.

That´s iit for this years Christmas themed tags. In January I´ll start sharing tags again, but this time with another theme :).

Happy crafting and happy holidays,

TAGplorations December challenge REMINDER

Hi there, everyone! Today I´d like to share another TAGplorations December challenge project with you. With this project I´d like to remind you to join our monthly challenge over at the STAMPlorations blog. This one is all about tags and this months challenge is “All about Christmas”.

Here is my second project for this months challenge reveal:

For this tag I first inked the blue cardstock with a Distress Ink blue tone that is slightly darker than the background. Then I used a white gel pen to draw around the inked stencil image. This way the pattern stands out better from the same toned background and makes it look more interesting. I had already punched the snowflakes from the paper, so I just applied a double sided adhesive underneath and then added some Silk Microfine Glitter on top. It sticks to the surface and creates lovely, shimmery snowflakes as a centerpieces to the tag.

After that I just needed to add some faux stitching, a darker cardstock piece onto the background and some half pearls for decoration. The sentiment  in the middle is a leftover piece from a project I did for Canvas Corp – it actually is a piece from the paper collection name I just fussy cut to work as a sentiment for this particular tag.

Finally I just added a strip of ribbon on top and this tag was all done. This will make yet another nice present tag for my Christmas presents this year. Now is your turn, if you haven´t played along with us already, here is where you will find all the details about the challenge (also read the rules over here).

See you at TAGplorations,

Wishing you Happiness – STAMPlorations

Hello lovelies, it´s again time for yet another Stencil Sunday and since it´s also the first Sunday of the month, it´s also Mixed Media Challenge reveal time. That means there is quite a bunch of inspiration up over at the STAMPlorations blog prepared for you by my fellow design team colleagues and me. Here is what I did for this months reveal post:

These tags are pretty simple to make, so if you are in a rush and need a quick project, this might be something for you :). And as always, by changing the color combination and stamp images you can pretty much go to any direction and theme you want. I like basic ideas like this as they work as a nice starting point for a bigger project or can be used as such for a more cleaner and simpler look.

I´ve also prepared a short start-to-finish video for you to watch:

I hope you got inspired and find some time to join this months challenge!! Remember, there are always nice prizes to be won and you can basically create anything (except a card!). You can even use stencils from other brands on your projects, if you don´t happen to have any STAMPlorations ones. Read more about the rules here.

Finally, remember to take advantage of my 20% off shopping code (STAMPGIRLSANNA) at the store:
It´s good for both reduced and regular prized products. Happy shopping ;-)!

Hope to see you at STAMPlorations blog, lovelies!

Celebrate Christmas Tag – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Stamped Christmas tag - Sanna Lippert Hello everyone, today I´d like to share one last Christmas project for this season with you. I created a blue-red-white colored present tag with Elizabeth Craft Designs products and I hope it will make it´s recipient happy. This background is so much fun to make!

Here is what I did:

Stamped Christmas tag - Sanna Lippert

Take the “Winter Sentiments” clear stamp set and using a waterproof stamp ink, stamp the word “joy” repeatedly onto the background.

Now take a light and darker blue and a red marker and start coloring the words by starting with the red, then going over to the lighter blue and finishing the third word with the darker blue tone. Then repeating this order until all the words are colored. This creates a pleasing pattern for the eye.

Next die cut the word “Celebrate” from a piece of ivory toned cardstock. Using another sentiment from the “Winter Sentiments” clear stamp set, partially stamp only the word “Christmas” with a black ink. Then fussy cut it and color the piece with the red marker.

Then cut a piece of blue felt and adhere the die cut and stamped words onto that piece. Attach the felt onto the tag with a stapler. Fussy cut a deer image and adhere onto the tag with paper glue. Attach a ribbon on top and embellish with wooden stars which you can color red with the marker. Add a touch of glitter glue on top for additional sparkle.

Wonderful season – STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday

Hello lovelies, it is again time for some more stencil inspiration over at the STAMPlorations blog!!!

Also don´t forget to play along with the December mixed media challenge!!! The tag I created this time is again a Christmas tag. I´ve actually used every single one I´ve created during the past weeks already on Christmas pressies. I think I might still need a few more :).

Here is how I created this tag:  Sanna LIppert - christmas tag with stencils

I first placed the Bloom Factory stencil over a white tag, then took some Distress Inks (purple, green, blues) and started inking the tag thru the stencil. I started with the lightest colour on the top, then moved over to the darker ones towards the end of the tag. Finally I inked the edges with the purple ink. Since the ink underneath has different tones, the end result of the purple ink also varies from one part to another. This creates a really fun look!

Then I let the tag dry abit and mixed some white acrylic paint with water and dabbing a paint brush against another I created a white paint splatter layer on top. I let that layer dry properly before decorating the tag. I used the Fond Expressions 2 stamp and added a hand written word to the tag. The birdies have a glitter coat and the bauble is colored with the Distress Inks too and then decorated with some glitter glue.
