Hello there everyone and welcome to the 3rd annual „Giving Thanks“ blog hop with STAMPlorations and friends!!! I am representing the STAMPlorations girls today – I hope you like the projects I created!
I´ve created two tags with STAMPlorations product (CUTplorations tag dies and STAMPlorations stamps – see the full material list at the end of this post). This is the first tag:
I started off with plain white cardstock and everything you see, is added. I first die cut the tags with CUTplorations dies and my die cutting machine (Sizzix Big Shot). Then I added some stamping onto the manila tag and sprayed it with a layer of Glimmer Mist Sugar Maple tone. After that I added a stamped background image with brown stamp ink and then applied Distress Oxides around the edges for more color contrast.

Then I moved over to decorating the die cut luggage tag (on top). I added the stamped sentiment from the brand new Typografia Thankful stamp line by STAMPlorations. Then I added some leaf stamping with VersaMark ink and heat embossed the images with light gold embossing powder from Lindy´s Stamp Gang. Next I applied yellow, orange and coral Distress Oxide to the tag.

After that I adhered the two tags together and added the misted, old book paper banner in between the tags. For decoration I used some yellow burlap (Canvas Corp), embossing enamel, twine, paper and velvet ribbon flowers, half pearls, cork stars and a sceleton leaf in gold.

I really like how this first tag turned out. These new stamps are my faves! So great for so many purposes like ATC´s, art journaling, cards, tags – you name it. At some point you need to stop adding layers and details, so I left the first tag as it was and moved to the second one :-). Here it is:
For my second tag I again die cut two tags from white cardstock. I started by stamping some dots onto the background of the manila tag with brown stamp ink. Then I misted the piece with Sugar Maple Glimmer Mist (Tattered Angels) and after that stamped some leaf images with VersaMark ink on top of it all. I then heat embossed the leaves with white embossing ink. Finally I added some black Glimmer Glaze droplets here and there on top of the leaves and while that was drying, moved to creating the luggage tag.

There are again heat embossed (light gold tone) leaf images here and there and I again inked the tag with Distress Oxides, but used slightly different colours as on my first tag (orange, yellow and brown).
I then adhered the tags together with paper glue and started decorating the tag. I used some half pearls, a velvet ribbon and brown paper flowers for decoration.
I´ve used less decorative elements on this one than on my first tag since I felt that it really didn´t need that much decoration. The white leaf pattern on the background adds enough contrast to the tag, so I kept everything else very modest and small.
I am also trying to use up all my older paper flowers, so they will be showing up on my tag projects also in the future. Such small projects are perfect for adding little bits from one´s older stash to accompany newer product. I think the combination works very well this way.
That´s it! These are my project for the hop. Be sure to hop thru all the designers blogs and comment for your chance to win some prizes. Here you will find all the rules and details about this hop.
