Wishing you Happiness – STAMPlorations

Hello everyone, it´s again my turn to share a mixed media tutorial with you over at the STAMPlorations blog. This time I created a set of fall coloured tags. Here is how they turned out:

I´ve used various STAMPlorations products on my tags (die cut dies, stencils and stamps). The paper is from my older stash, but it works really well with the fall color theme.

I´ve added a heavy body orange acrylic paint thru a stencil onto the background of each tag. After that I stamped some flowers onto the leftover paper pieces and fussy cut those. Then I added some color to them with Neocolor II water-soluble wax pastels and decorated them with liquid pearls.

There are all kinds of bits and bobs on these tags – including some washi tape, twine, Glimmer Glaze, ribbons and Distress Stickles. I really like playing with the STAMPlorations product lines. Everything works together so well and it is so much fun to add layers and details.  Of course I´ve again also prepared a start-to-finish video for you to watch! I hope you like it!

Let´s stay creative,
xxx, Sanna

Happiness ATC set – STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday

Hello lovely people, it´s again time for another STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday. How about some „May Flowers“ themed ATC´s for this Sunday´s post? With lots of color, layers and happiness :). Remember, last month I did a set themed „April Showers“, so I thought I might as well add to the theme and do „May Flowers“ this month :). Here they are:

And this time I decided to make a little star-to-finish video to go with the set:

I really like how these artist trading cards turned out & I can´t wait for summer to finally arrive. I am missing sunshine, swimming, sitting in the garden and watching flowers bloom and just relaxing in the sun. Who´s with me? 😉

What I did is I first added a layer of Distress Paint, then some stamping and after that added a spray ink toned paste thru the Daisy Play (one of the newest stencils at the STAMPlorations store) stencil. Finally I added some product from my older stash to embellish the ATC´s.  Here are some close-ups of the ATC´s:

Here´s to a hopefully gorgeous and sunny June :). Hope you all have a lovely Sunday!!!

Altered present box – STAMPlorations

Hello lovelies! Time to share the STAMPlorations March Mixed Media Challenge with you today!!!

The weather has been lovely here the past days and it is slowly starting to feel like spring. I love the fact that the days get longer and the birds are starting to sing. Immediately lifts my spirits!! I might have been inspired by spring on my March reveal mixed media piece :)…. there is a little birdie sitting on top of my altered box. And the happy, bright colours might also have something to do with my anticipation for spring :)…

Here is what I did:
And this is how I altered the wooden box:

I first applied a layer of gesso onto the box. Then went over all sides, besides the bottom, obviously, with the „Ethnic Organic Two“ STAMPlorations stencil and applied modeling paste thru the stencil onto the surface. This took a while, as I always had to let 1-2 sides dry properly before moving over to the next one.   After finishing all sides I placed the wooden box into a misting box (I made myself one, after spraying my keyboard and my working area several times with various spray colours…) and misted the box – both inside and outside – with blue Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist tone „Jack Frost“. Then I decorated the lid with a little bird and two paper flowers. I misted those again with purple and yellow Glimmer Mist tones and added glitter glue here and there for additional interest.

Finally I stamped a Dina Wakley stamp sentiment on a sheet of old book paper and fussy cut that into stripes and adhered them onto the lid.

As you can see, the box is misted both outside and inside.

I can either use this box as a decorational piece or give it away as a present. Just add the present inside and it is ready to go :).

This is a very tiny box. It only measures 10 x 6 x 5 centimeters. I have been thinking of adding a bigger and a smaller one to go with it. That away they would look pretty nice together as a group.

Now it is your turn to create and link up non-card mixed media projects. The theme is always anything mixed media, except a card and you are asked to use at least one stencil (any brand!!!) on your project. The Linky closes at the end of the month. And there are prizes to be won:

– $10 gift certificate to the winner voted by the Mixed Media team
– $5 gift certificate each to the 2 top picks
– AND If there are 25 or more entries: 1 random winner wins any 2 standard sized stencils from the store

so what are you waiting for? Hop over HERE and get inspired by the design team samples and join in with us!!!

Annnddd….just a kind reminder, in case you are in need of stamps, stencils and/or die cut dies, you just might want to add this code upon checkout for 20% off your order at STAMPlorations store 🙂

The journey is.. – The MMCC October reveal

Hi there, time to share the Mixed Media Card Challenge blog´s OCTOBER challenge with you. This time the theme is: BLACK AND PURPLE and as an optional element you should use: TWINE.

Here is my take:
Sanna Lippert A black paper is my starting point. I then applied purple pearlescent texture paste onto the piece of paper thru a The Crafter´s Workshop stencil. After the surface was dry, I added some twine around the paper. Next I misted a paper flower with purple Glimmer Mist and added a black paper flower under it – all topped with a purple brad.

Finally I stamped a sentiment onto white cardstock, fussy cut it and glued it onto the card. Some purple rhinestones add more detail.

Sanna LippertI hope you get inspired by this challenge and create a mixed media card. I´d love to see lots of you join in on this months challenge!!!

See you at MMCC,

English Roses – ATC cards

Hello there, lovelies! I could not resist but joining this months Mixed Media Monthly Challenge blog´s challenge #24. Such a fun challenge! See for yourself:

I chose to create ATC cards (a set of 4 actually) and I used both butterflies and blooms on them. I named this set „English Roses“ because of the color combination I used. I kinda got inspired by this photo of a flower store in Richmond on our stay in London, such lovely flowers and colors in there.

These are the ATC cards, I am joining this months challenge with. I have added book paper, ink splatters and drippings and punched, spray inked punched butterflies (Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels). Underneath it all is a light blue flower stencil (The Crafter´s Workshop) pattern, created with a paste that I mixed from chalk paint and transparent texture paste. On top, a rolled DIY fabric flower (rose?) and some yarn.

Sanna Lippert Sanna LippertI only had enough fabric for three DIY flowers, so I took some paper flowers from my stash for the fourth one. Sanna Lippert Sanna LippertCreating these ATC cards was again combined with some lovely chatting with scrappy friends via Skype. Do you scrap with your friends online? We do. And it was my turn to come up with a challenge, so I asked them to use flowers and butterflies and a book page on their projects (and how practical, most of that just happens to match the Mixed Media MC challenge – so I am hoping they will be joining in this months challenge too with their creations). And since we now all created ATC cards, we will be swapping with each other.  Always great to get real mail!!!

And since I am allowed to join in on additional challenges too, I´m adding these ATC cards to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge from the 25th of May, 2016: Anything goes.

I´ve never played along with them yet – there is always a first time for everything, right? 🙂

Happy creating,
xxx, Sanna
