Hello brother – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone, today I have something special to share with you! KittyK8 and myself put up a little collaboration of our own for March as it turned out that her kit didn´t arrive to her, but instead is somewhere in Hungary at the moment (funny enough, next to Austria) and my kit went to Sydney (Australia, where Kate lives)!

So she contacted me to inform me about that and we figured, since both of us are still waiting for their March The Wild Hare Kits to arrive, we´d challenge each other with something else. So we pulled all our previous kits together and tried to put a DIY kit from our leftover WHK kits together that would be as similar as possible.

Here is mine:

I´ve got plenty of Pink Paislee Truly Grateful in this kit. Then some Pinkfresh Studio Office Hours, some Shimelle Sparkle City as well as Field Trip collection and Pink Paislee Again & Again papers as well as tiny bits of Flower Market by Carta Bella as well as Pinkfresh Studio Just a Little Lovely. The embellishments are by Brambe Fox, Pink Paislee, Pinkfresh Studio, Spiegelmom Scraps and Maggie Holmes. Also I used the monthly February cutfile for this kit.

And here is what I created:

I used the Pinkfresh Studio Office Hours „Inspiration“ paper as my layout base and added some Pink Paislee Truly Grateful and Shimelle´s Field Trip collection papers to the background. Then I went crazy with fussy cutting. I used plenty of the Pink Paislee Truly Grateful collection 2×2 inch papers and fussy cut words and images. I also added the monthly cutfile as well as some Bramble Fox acrylic embellishments to the layout. I had also picked the Pink Paislee Again & Again collection flower paper to my kit, but in the end decided not to use it at all. As I am scrapping a boy page, I intentionally used words and other images than flowers.

Creating my own kit from leftover kits was so much fun! You should definitely try out making one yourself. And then scrapping with it. I still have so much left from this kit – I could go on and make a few more projects with it.

And now I´m really excited to see what Kate created with her kit!!! She has more flowers going on in hers. I had the Pink Paislee Again & Again paper prepared for fussy cutting flowers, but in the end intentionally decided against it. I did a boy layout, so using flowers was not the first thing that came to my mind, so I stuck to words and other images than flowers. I´m excited to see, how much Kate was able to use on her page and how it turned out!

I hope we could inspire you to use up all the leftovers from your previous kits. It´s really lots of fun to create mini kits from leftover product and then challenge yourself to scrap with those. We´d love to see what you made, so be sure to tag us (@thewildharekits) while sharing on social media!!!

See you again tomorrow with my monthly wrap-up and then in April with the unboxing again!

Happy scrapping,

Set of cards – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday! Today I´m stopping by to share my last August Deluxe Kit project with you. This one is a set of clean and simple cards.

For these cards I used white card bases as my starting point and then added either stenciling, ephemera or fussy cut paper as a focal point.

For the first card I added some Epic Triangles stenciling onto the background using Distress Ink, then layered a few Flower Market ephemera pieces on top and added tiny stamped images next to them. For finishing touches I used a Bramble Fox star and a puffy sticker from my own stash.

For the second card I matted the card base with a Pink Fresh Studio Everyday Musings paper then added a Flower Market ephemera as a focal point and stamped a sentiment with the stamp set from the same collection. For details I added some black acrylic paint splatters.

For my last card I fussy cut the Embroidery Hoops paper from Flower Market collection and added the hoops in a cluster onto the card. Underneath there is again some Epic Triangles stenciling with yellow Distress Ink and a few pink spray ink splatters. For finishing touches I added a faux stitching around the edges and stamped a few thank you-sentiments with the Flower Market stamp and black stamp ink.

This was a fun set to create. It´s not my usual card creating style, because the cards have hardly any media layers on them. But I loved using patterned paper for card creating for a chance and creating very puristic cards.

I hope you get inspired by this card set and create a few cards yourself. For more details on the Wild Hare Kits, see their website here. Wishing you all a lovely day and

happy crafting,

We Love To Travel – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone and welcome to another The Wild Hare Kits August kit project share here on my blog. For today´s project I´ve created a clean and simple scrapbook layout using The Color Fresh and Flower Market collections from my August Deluxe Kit.

Here is what I created:

For this laoyut I´ve used a piece of white cardstock as my layout background and then build everything else on top of it. I cut the Color Fresh “Counting on You” paper into strips with scissors and used my sewing machine to sew all the stips onto the white cardstock.

I love, love, love this paper so very much! That is also why I didn´t want to add too many details on top of it, so I went for a clean grid look. I used 4 color photos and arranged them very randomly onto the page. Then I fussy cut the Flower Market “Squares” paper into 2×2 inch squares and arranged a selection of those around the photos, creating a grid look.

After I was happy with the placement, I adhered every single piece onto the background with paper glue and chose various older alphas from my stash to create a multi-colored title. I didn´t have any alphas in my kit this time, so I have been adding ones from my stash that I find would fit the kits color scheme. For finishing touches I added a date stamp into one of the squares and also wrote some journaling onto another. I also managed to add a few Bramble Fox stars here and there (I adore them and keep on adding them to each layout I make :-D!).

I´ve also recorded a short video while I was creating – hope you like it!

I hope you enjoy today´s post and get inspired to scrap a little yourself! Also, if you are looking for a hand-curated kit that fulfills all your dreams, HERE is the link you need to check out!

I still have a few papers left from my kit, so be sure to check back here to see what I created with those :)!

#Vacation Selfie – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone and welcome to another The Wild Hare Kits August project share. This one is a fun one, as the design team girls are scraplifting one of the team members per month and we start the scraplifting round with the lovely Rachel Tallman!

So the idea is to choose a layout Rachel has created and then based on her layout, create our own take on it. Here is Rachel´s layout I chose to scraplift:

and here is what I created, based on her layout:

Rachel´s layout is a smaller size than mine, so I added a few bits and bobs to the upper left and lower right corner for balance. I chose this layout, as I don´t usually do layered paper clusters like these. So that was definitely a challenge for me :). Also, I loved how she had left lots of white space on her layout and added all kinds of little details to her layout. I adored the glitter alpha title and the fact that the title consisted of two words in various sizes. So I lifted that too.

Here are a few detail photos of my layout. I´ve used the 1canoe2 “Saturday Afternoon” paper as my background paper and added lots of Flower Market Ephemera as well as Pink Fresh Studio “Everyday Musings” 6×6 papers that were in my kit. Oh, and I also managed to sneak in a few Bramble Fox stars this time too. I am really enjoying them so much! So glad they were in my kit!!

I have to say this kit has been everything I could have asked for! I have enjoyed every single paper so far, there was nothing in the kit that made me go “nah, this is not me”!!! So if you haven´t given The Wild Hare Kits hand-curated kit a try yet, I strongly suggest you go for it! I don´t know how they do it, but the kits you get, are really what you had been looking for. Fill in your style profile and give it a go – you might be surprised how well they suit your wishes!!!

Here is a little process video with all the details and steps for you to watch! I hope you enjoy it!

20th Anniversary – The Wild Hare Kits

Hello everyone, today I´m sharing my first The Wild Hare Kits layout with the August Deluxe kit. For this layout I chose to use the monthly sketch as my starting point.

I really like this sketch very much! It has all the elements that make me swoon.

This is my take on the sketch and here is how I created the page:

I first printed several pieces of the same photo strip (I love the repeated look on a page, it adds texture and interest in my opinion).

Next I used the Echo Epic Triangles stencil with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to add some pattern onto the background. I applied the ink very randomly thru the stencil, but still kept to the basic layout of the sketch and positioned the triangles about there, where the stars are on the sketch.

After that I cut tiny paper strips from three different (see product list in the end of my post) Flower Market papers that came with my August kit and arranged  them onto the page to my liking. The tiny banners and the journaling emphemera piece are from the Flower Market collection also. If you´d like to take a better look on my August kit, you can see the video HERE. I didn´t yet adhere the paper strips on place as I still wanted to add some stamping and details.

On my unboxing video I told how much I liked the stamp set that came with my kit. Here you can see the stamping added is done with the stamps from that stamp set. I love these tiny words and sentiments and they work so well with the layout theme too!!

The tiny stamped hearts had only a black outline on them, so they were screaming for some colour :). I took a peach toned marker and coloured them all in that tone. This adds a nice detail to the layout.

For finishing touches I added the lovely Bramble Fox Petite Perspextives acrylic stars to the page. I really like these stars and they work so well with the rest of the page. Also, the colour scheme of my kit is just perfect!! Exactly what I was looking for to work with.

Here are a few detail photos of the layout:

I had a great time scrapping with this month´s sketch! Be sure to check back on the 19th for another Wild Hare Kits project :).
