Hello and Happy Friday everyone!!! Did you create handmade Christmas cards this year? I did. I sent a few on their way around the globe very early, as I participated on a Christmas Card Swap for the 4th year in a row. It has become such a fun tradition and I would not want to miss it for anything – if you are interested in joining, then look this group up over at Flickr!!
And then to my first set of cards. I´ve been creating with the lovely Christmas collections (Farmhouse Christmas & Jolly Christmas) from Canvas Corp Brands this year. Let´s start with a set of Farmhouse Christmas cards:

I love the black and kraft snowflake paper! It is so very pretty! Here is how I created these cards:

This was my starting point. Some brown Glimmer Glam, burlap, patterned paper and a few chipboard pieces. I glued the patterned paper onto white card bases first.
Next I added droplets of White Metallic High Impact paint onto the patterned paper.

Next I fussy cut some tags from the Farmhouse tags on Ivory paper and misted them with Verdigris, Turquoise Blue and Vanilla Breeze Glimmer Mist tones.
While the paint and the misted pieces were drying, I painted the chipboard pieces with brown Glimmer Glam tone (Bon Bon).
And while the Glimmer Glam was still wet, I added a thin layer of Rock Candy Distress Glitter over the painted pieces and let that dry. When the paint dries, the Glitter will stick to the surface – no glue needed. Then all I needed to do was to layer the burlap and the misted tags onto the patterned paper. I also added some twine, seam binding, pearls and some silver netting onto the cards. So easy and very fast to create!!

I hope you enjoyed this little step-by-step – do come back in a few days time to check out my next set of Christmas cards!!
Here is one more extra card – created in a similar way, I have just used various brown tones for coloring the door – the paints are from the Tattered Angels paints range 🙂
Happy crafting,
xxx, Sanna
