Clean & Simple DIY foam stamp stamped and die cut images & cards – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello everyone, it´s my turn to share another guest design team post over at Elizabeth Craft Designs blog today and for this post, I was inspired by a question placed to my on my YouTube channel: „have you ever used the die to cut out the stamped image you just made?“

So I tried and here are the results:

This experiment resulted in the above clean and simple style cards, created using the same ModaScrap die cut dies I originally created my DIY foam stamps with (see that particular video here).

I really like how these cards turned out, even though the technique itself was a little bit tricky. You can see the complete start-to-finish on the technique on the following video – I hope you enjoy it:

Of course you could go the easy way and just first die cut the image, then ink the die cut image with stamp inks and have a perfect result every time OR you could first ink a larger piece of cardstock and then die cut that area with the die cut die. Again, resulting in a perfectly inked and die cut image. BUT that was not the question, so I went the unordinary way and first stamped with the DIY foam stamp and the tried to die cut the already stamped image to see if it would work. It did, in a way. And I really like the results, because of their artsy look. I am sure there are easier ways to create cards, but if you are in for the fun of it, I suggest you give it a try!

Wishig you all a great day and see you again in December for another Elizabeth Craft Designs project post!

Distress Oxide background cards – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello lovelies, today it is my turn again to share a little step-by-step tutorial with you over at Elizabeth Craft Designs blog. Here is what I created – a set of Distress Oxide, die cut background cards:

I had been going in circles for a while and avoiding ordering the Distress Oxides. Why, you think? Well, because I knew that the minute I get them into my hands, I will be hooked. Finally I gave in as I saw so many of my team colleagues having a ball with them. So I bought a set of 6.

Needless to say the six colors are definitely not going to be enough. Might as well have ordered the full set all at once *rollingeyes*. Anyways, here are the cards I created with the Oxides and the lovely Elizabeth Craft Designs die cut dies.

I´ve used both the positive and some of the negative parts on my cards as well as the DIY die cut foam stamp (see tutorial here) on these. Added some bits and bobs from my stash and just had a great time creating!! I do love color, so how on earth did I manage to get by so long without buying these inks *laughs*.

For more details do see my original post over at the Elizabeth Craft Desings blog (HERE). And to get you hooked too, here are the inks in action – enjoy the video:
